Nailed It – Thanks

Today’s card was inspired by the challenge over at Fab Friday.

My card today starts off with Basic Black cardstock as its base.  I took a panel of Delightful Dijon cardstock and using the Nailed It stamp set stamped in Archival Black ink the different tools on it.  I then matted the Delightful Dijon on Very Vanilla cardstock.

I used a pattern from the Urban Underground DSP and matted it on Basic Black cardstock and adhered that to the card.  I then embossed and cut out the little ruler using the Build It Framelits (included in the Nailed It Bundle) and Silver Foil sheet.

I stamped the wrench in Archival Black and used a blender pen and Delightful Dijon ink to color it in and cut it out using the Build It Framelits.  The sentiment was stamped in Archival Black in and comes from the One Big Meaning stamp set.

Enjoy!

Best. Guy. Ever.

I loved the colors at the Can You Case It? challenge this week.

Masculine cards.  <Face in hand>  I have a love-hate relationship with them.
No bells or whistles and yet still fun and creative.

A little plug – If you’re in the Upstate New York area, I’ll be having a masculine make & take party on June 8th.  I’d love to have you join me!

Today’s card I kept really simple.  I went back and forth with whether to add more to the card, but at the end of the day, I left it clean and simple.

My card starts with Night of Navy cardstock as its base.

I then cut out a number of stars using the Stars Framelits and Mint Macaron, Night of Navy, and Copper Foil cardstock.

The sentiment comes from the Suite Sentiments stamp set which I stamped in Night of Navy ink and then fussy cut out and adhered to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Enjoy!

Neutral Totally Trees

The inspiration for today’s neutral-colored card is the challenge over at Sunday Stamps.

ssc137f

I used the Totally Trees stamp set and all the brown-toned neutral colors.

I start with Chocolate Chip as my base color and layered it with Sahara Sand and then Whisper White.  I then stamped the tree stamps from Totally Trees in the darker toned inks and the leaves in the light toned inks.

For the sentiment I put down a strip of the burlap and then heat embossed the sentiment on Soft Suede in white to layer over the burlap.

Enjoy!

P.S. – At my last Stamp Party we were talking about how challenging masculine cards can be.  This card would be a great one!

Stampin’ Up! Balloon Celebration

For today’s card share, I combined the color challenge over at Sunday Stamps with the sketch challenge over at Global Design Project. sketch Challenge GDP

I used Crumb Cake as the base for my card and layered it with Dapper Denim.  For the Soft Sky on the Dapper Denim, I dry embossed it using the Sparkle Textured Embossing Folder and left the “negative” side facing out.

Balloon Celebration - Stamp It Up With Jaimie

Next I created my balloons using the Balloon Bouquet Punch which coordinates with the Balloon Celebration Stamp Set.  I stamped the little dots on each balloon in the coordinating color before punching them out.  I cut balloons out in Crumb Cake, Dapper Denim, and Night of Navy.

Next, I stamped the sentiment from the Balloon Celebration Stamp Set in Night of Navy and added a Night of Navy Enamel Star.  Lastly, before adhering balloons to the card, I attached some Night of Navy Baker’s Twine to make strings for the balloons and tied the ends in a bow.

Birthday – Sunday Stamps132

Happy Tuesday – thanks for taking the time to swing by my blog today!

I had fun making today’s card first off because it’s a horizontal layout.  I normally do vertical cards, so this was fun.  The layout comes from this week’s Sunday Stamps challenge.

ssc132F1

To start my card off I used Bermuda Bay as my base color.  I used a pattern from the Blooms & Bliss DSP for my vertical detail.

Better Together - Stamp It Up With Jaimi

My sentiment comes from the Better Together Stamp Set.  I stamped the Happy Birthday in Bermuda Bay and then stamped stars all around it in Bermuda Bay and Island Indigo.  I then cut it out using the Layering Circles Framelits and also cut out a Bermuda Bay circle and an Island Indigo scallop to layer underneath it.

Better Together - Stamp It Up With Jaimie - Stampin Up

Now, although it is retired, I couldn’t resist using the Chevron Punch for the detail under my sentiment.  I just can’t resist a good chevron detail.  😉

Enjoy!

One Big Meaning – Many Thanks

Do you ever find that one thank you isn’t enough?

For today’s card share, I embraced the many Thank Yous that the One Big Meaning Stamp Set has.

My pallet for this card was neutrals.  That way it works just as easily for a guy as a girl.

I started with a base color of Sahara Sand.

One Big Meaning - Stamp It Up With JaimieI stamped the variety of thank you sentiments in Chocolate Chip, Crumb Cake, Sahara Sand, and Soft Suede all around the card.

I did stamp one Thank You on a separate Whisper White, cut it out, matted it, and used dimensionals to give it some lift.  I added a coordinating Candy Dot as well.

Mojo Monday 439

To make a masculine card, be it birthday, Father’s Day, or anything really, can be a challenge.  Being a man’s card automatically eliminates bows, girly colors, frills, and many other cutesy details.

For this reason, if you find yourself in need of a masculine card I HIGHLY recommend the Going Places DSP.  The masculine colors and designs makes putting a card together super easy.

I started with a background of Mossy Meadow and then layered it with Whisper White.  I then used two different patterns, one layered on Lost Lagoon and one layered on Mossy Meadow.  I used the globe from the Going Global Stamp Set stamped in Lost Lagoon as a center focus of the card.

The sentiment is from the “Crazy About You” Stamp Set and was heat embossed in black.

World’s Best Dad Card

I’m in love with this beautiful Going Places Designer Series Paper! I love the more masculine designs and colors.  When I saw it, I knew I just had to have it – 1: Because we do a lot of traveling as a family and it will be great for scrapbooking and 2: My husband LOVES old world maps so for Father’s Day cards and birthday cards for him – this is perfect!

For today’s card, I started off with a background of Delightful Dijon.  I then layered it with a page from the Going Places DSP.

Going Global - Stamp It Up With Jaimie

My stamped globe, as well as the sentiment is from the Going Global Stamp Set.  I knew I wanted the sentiment “World’s Best Dad” and the arrows as well, but they were on different stamps.  First I stamped the “World’s Best Dad” in Basic Black.  Then, I covered the other sentiment with Washi Tape (so as to just show the arrows) and inked the stamp.  Then I removed the Washi Tape and stamped the arrows under the “World’s Best Dad” sentiment.

Washi Tape - Stamp It Up With Jaimie

For the layered look, I used other designs from the Going Places DSP in Basic Black, Very Vanilla, and Delightful Dijon and then finished off with a touch of Linen Thread.

Enjoy!
