Stampin’ Up! Colorful Seasons

Today’s card is a quick, but sweet “Thinking of You” card which is really a thank you card.  Customers who placed orders this past week received this card in the mail with a message on a Post-It Note, leaving it blank for them to fill in and re-mail.

I recently bought the Colorful Seasons stamp set when it was on sale earlier this month, but didn’t have the coordinating thinlits….yet 😉

So I had to create a card that showcased the stamp set without the need to cut any leaves out.  Easier said than done and I, once again, have such an appreciation for thinlits/framelits.

My card starts off with Crushed Curry cardstock.  I took a panel of Whisper White cardstock (which will be layered on Pumpkin Pie cardstock) and created my falling leaves using the Colorful Seasons stamp set.  I took the smallest leaf and inked it up with Crushed Curry and then sort of tapped the edges on some Peekaboo Peach ink.

I did the same technique with the bigger leaf on a separate piece of Whisper White cardstock.  I inked up the outline leaf image in Versamark ink, sprinkled it with Gold embossing powder, and heat embossed it.  I cut this one out with the Stitched Shapes Framelits and then matted a Gold Foil Sheet square behind it.

I inked up the sentiment in Versamark ink, sprinkled it with Gold embossing powder, and heat embossed that as well.  I wound around some Gold Thread behind the square and adhered it to the card.

Enjoy!

Here’s the bunch of cards that went out in the mail.  It honestly brings me so much joy!  Remember what I always say – Don’t hoard the cards – mail them!

I stamped the pumpkins from the Pick A Pumpkin stamp set in Pumpkin Pie, Tangerine Tango, Peekaboo Peach, and Crushed Curry inks.  I cut them out, as well as the die cut pumpkin (Gold foil sheet) using the Patterned Pumpkins Thinlits.

Stampin’ Up! Count My Blessings

I am so excited to share today’s card.

For two reasons…

  1. I’m not a huge fussy colorer (yes, my new term).  I usually shy away from watercoloring, but I did a lot of coloring on this card and I love how it came out.
  2. I love the sentiments in the Count My Blessings stamp set.  It’s a beautiful font and I’m always looking for a good “thinking of you.”  You can turn this sentiment to fit any occasion.  Thinking of you…on your birthday.  Thinking of you…get well soon.  Thinking of you…congratulations.  You get the idea.

My card today starts off with a panel of White Shimmery cardstock.  I used to always watercolor on Watercolor Paper, but wanted to try this beautiful Shimmery cardstock and sure enough – it works great!!  And it really does have a little shimmer to it.

I stamped the one image from the Count My Blessings stamp set in Archival Black ink a bunch of times on the White Shimmery cardstock.  I then took an Aqua Painter and Crushed Curry, Peekaboo Peach, Pumpkin Pie, and Early Espresso inks to color the leaves in.

I mounted this on Gold cardstock and then wound a piece of Crushed Curry Ribbon around it.  I tied a Linen Thread bow towards the one side and then mounted this on a Pumpkin Pie card.

I then stamped the other flower image from the Count My Blessings stamp set in Early Espresso ink (stamping off twice first) onto another piece of Shimmery cardstock.  I stamped the sentiment in Versamark ink, sprinkled it with Gold embossing powder, and heat embossed it.  I cut it out using the Stitched Shapes Framelits and mounted it on a scalloped oval in Gold cardstock that was cut out using the Layering Ovals Framelits.

Enjoy!

My card today was inspired by challenges this week at Global Design Project and Stamp, Ink, Paper.

Stampin’ Up! Bike Ride – Thinking of You

Today’s card was inspired by this week’s Freshly Made Sketches Challenge.

My card starts off with Sweet Sugarplum cardstock.  I then layered a panel of Powder Pink cardstock to the card and wrapped a piece of Fresh Fig Sheer Ribbon around the card.

I matted a pattern from the Wood Textures DSP on a panel of Fresh Fig cardstock and adhered it to the card.  I created my bike using the Bike Ride Bundle and Fresh Fig, Sweet Sugarplum, Powder Pink, and Smoky Slate ink.  I cut out two Powder Pink handlebar ribbons and one Fresh Fig butterfly using the coordinating thinlits.

Before adhering the bike to the card, I stamped the “ground” stamp in Smoky Slate from the Sheltering Tree stamp set on the Wood Textures DSP.  I then stamped the sentiment from the Sheltering Tree stamp set in Fresh Fig ink on a banner of Powder Pink cardstock.

Enjoy!

Best Birds – Thinking of You

Clearly I don’t know how to follow directions or read dates, as I did the wrong color challenge this week.  Enjoy your sneak peek at what we’ll be doing for May 18th and in the meantime, hop around to see what the real color challenge was supposed to be.

My card today starts off with Thick Whisper White cardstock which I layered with a pattern from the Succulent Garden DSP.  I think took a smaller panel of Whisper White cardstock and matted it on Night of Navy cardstock and adhered it to the card.

I created my bird and branch using the Best Birds Bundle.  I first stamped the images in Archival Black ink and then used sponges and Night of Navy, Old Olive, and Daffodil Delight inks to color them in.  The images were cut out with the coordinating Birds & Blooms framelits.

I stamped the sentiment in Night of Navy ink and cut it out using the Stitched Shapes Framelits.  Before adhering it to the card, I stamped the “artsy” stamp in Daffodil Delight on the Whisper White cardstock.

Enjoy!

My card was inspired by the challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments this week.

PRODUCT LIST:

That’s The Tag

Today’s card was inspired by the challenge over at Paper Craft Crew and Fab Friday.

My card starts off with Thick Whisper White cardstock which I layered with a panel of Mint Macaron Cardstock.  I cut a strip from the sunshine pattern from the Tasty Treats DSP and adhered it to the left side of the card, covering the seam with a strip of Burlap Ribbon.

I created my tag using the That’s The Tag Bundle and Mint Macaron and Calypso Coral ink.  I cut it out and adhered it by tying a bow around the burlap ribbon through the hole in the tag.

I cut out two banners using So Saffron and Peekaboo Peach cardstock and adhered them underneath the burlap.  The tag didn’t seem to be laying flat so I put two Stampin’ Dimensionals underneath it so it lay against the card.  I added a few So Saffron Enamel Dots to finish it off.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Thinking of You

14191940_10210720964928554_1945697424832510820_n

Welcome to this month’s Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop!  This month we’re focusing on Fall/Halloween.  Thanks for swinging by!

Fall is by far my favorite season.  Warmer days, cooler nights.  All things apple and pumpkin.  Apple orchards and pumpkin farms.  Football on a Sunday afternoon, something yummy in the crockpot, leaves changing color, and a warm candle burning.  I’m telling you – I love it!  So my card is all about Fall!

I used Rich Razzleberry as my card base and then did some fun layering with Pumpkin Pie, Very Vanilla, and watercolor paper.  To start off, I stamped in Archival Black the trees from Lovely as a Tree stamp set.

thinking-of-you-stamp-it-up-with-jaimie

I then whipped out the aqua painter go to town on my scenery.  I used Old Olive for the ground and Pumpkin Pie, Rich Razzleberry, and Crushed Curry for my trees.

thinking-of-you-stamp-it-up-with-jaimi

Next I created some fun layering in the upper left hand corner.  I used a pattern from the Petals & Paisleys DSP, Rich Razzleberry ribbon from the Trio Pack of 3/8″ ribbon, and the thinking of you sentiment from the Sheltering Tree (had to stick with tree theme) stamp set.

Enjoy!

My card was inspired by this week’s color challenge over at PalsPaper Arts (using Pumpkin Pie instead, as that is the orange I have on hand).

Stampin’ Up! Sheltering Tree

My family just got back from vacation in North Carolina and had a lovely time.  I’m starting to feel the rush of the last few weeks of summer before back to school and I kinda feel like I’m clinging on to summer.  Here in Upstate New York, the days are feeling cooler and fall is in the air.  So, even though you’d think I’d make a tree of fall colors, I bring you a summery, bright tree today.

I used Flirty Flamingo as the base to my card and layered it with Daffodil Delight and then Whisper White.

Sheltering Tree - Stamp It Up With Jaimie

I then used the Sheltering Tree Stamp Set to create the tree in Old Olive and the leaves in Flirty Flamingo.  The ground, as well as the bicycle are also in Old Olive.

Sheltering Tree - Stampin Up - Stamp It Up With Jaimie

Lastly, I stamped the sentiment which is from the Sheltering Tree Stamp Set in Flirty Flamingo and layered it over some Daffodil Delight cardstock, cutting them out with the Layering Circles Framelits.  I also added a bit of Silver Thread behind them.

Enjoy!

Spring Sheltering Tree

Here in Upstate New York, in spring, we have the most gorgeous cherry blossom trees that bloom.

3505567403_426e517c6d_b

I love when they do because the beautiful, bright pink flower fills the tree and just radiates that spring has arrived.  This was my inspiration for today’s card.

I started with a base of Melon Mambo and layered it with Whisper White.  I used the Sheltering Tree to create my cherry blossom tree and stamped the leaves in both Melon Mambo and Blushing Bride.

Sheltering Tree - Stamp It Up With Jaimie

I used the sentiment, “Thinking of You” from the Sheltering Tree Stamp Set as well.  It’s stamped in Melon Mambo and adhered with dimensionals.

Thinking of You - Stamp It Up With Jaimie

After stamping the tree, I cut the cardstock in three and layered the middle section over Blushing Bride and Melon Mambo and then reattached it.  I added a bow of Linen Thread to the right side to finish it off.

Enjoy!
