Did you have a nice Easter yesterday?
I certainly did. We went to church. I cooked, get this…steak (not sure how I got convinced to do that). And the sun was even out despite it being cold.
It was a nice Easter and I certainly hope yours was as well!
My card today uses the beautiful You’re Inspiring Stamp Set! I’ve stamped with this set before (you can see that card here) but used Stampin’ Blends to color it in. This time I wanted to use an Aqua Painter.
I started off with a Old Olive cardstock. I then took a pattern from the Wood Textures DSP and adhered it over a panel of Very Vanilla cardstock which was matted on Daffodil Delight cardstock.
I then stamped the daffodil image from the You’re Inspiring Stamp Set in Archival Black ink on watercolor paper. I used an Aqua Painter and Old Olive, Daffodil Delight, and Crushed Curry (for the darker areas of the flower) inks to color it in. I fussy cut it out and adhered it using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
For the sentiment, I used the Stamparatus (available June 1st) to get a heat embossed effect using Old Olive ink. I set up the Stamparatus and inked up the sentiment in Old Olive ink first and stamped on a piece of Daffodil Delight cardstock. I then kept the stamp where it was positioned on the Stamparatus, but cleaned it using a baby wipe. I then inked it up using Versamark and went over the same spot I had just stamped. I sprinkled it with clear embossing powder and heat set it.
Today’s card was inspired by this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

What a beautiful picture of you and your family. Your children are sweeties. This is a wonderful CAS card. Your fussy cutting is off the charts! Great job with the aqua painter. That is something I have yet to master. Have a wonderful week.
What a beautiful card and what a beautiful picture of your family! Love the colors and the touch of the wood texture on your background. Glad that you enjoyed the day with your family! 🙂

I love your flowers and am impressed yet again with your fussy cutting skills. Beautiful family portrait. TFS.
Such a pretty card – your daffodils are so beautifully coloured and I love the yellow mat against the green card stock. Thanks for playing along at FMS this week!
