Stampin’ Up! Truly Tailored – FMS332

Happy Monday!

Here’s to a great week ahead which hopefully includes some crafting for you.  I find if I don’t get some crafting in each week, I’m pretty miserable.

Ladies often ask me how I’m able to carve out time to craft each week and sometimes daily…easily, I just do.  I know it’s good for my mental health and sanity, so I consciously make time in my week.

My card today is a fun one using the True Gentleman Suite from the Occasions Catalog.  I started off with Night of Navy cardstock on which I adhered a pattern from the True Gentleman DSP pack.  I then took another smaller pattern, matted it on Very Vanilla cardstock, and adhered it to the card.

Next I adhered a piece of Burlap Ribbon over the longer DSP panel.  I used the sentiment from the Truly Tailored Stamp Set and covered the outside of it and the face of the fox in washi tape so that only the words “You’re a Fox” were uncovered.  I inked up the sentiment in Night of Navy ink, removed the washi tape, and stamped it on a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock.  I punched it out using the Tailored Tag Punch.

I then stamped the fox from the Foxy Friends Stamp Set in Chocolate Chip ink on Very Vanilla cardstock and fussy cut him out.  I adhered the fox using Stampin’ Dimensionals and added a few True Gentelman buttons.

Enjoy!

Today’s card was inspired by this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

Daisy Delight Thank You

This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is a color challenge.  Happy hopping!

Here in Upstate New York, we’re having the wackiest weather.  Yesterday it was cloudy and rainy in the morning, the sun came out in the afternoon and it hit 50 degrees, and it snowed at night.

So I obviously can’t control the weather, but what I can do is make bright, spring-y cards!

I start today’s card off with Marina Mist cardstock.  I stamped right over the front of it with the Hardwood stamp set in Marina Mist ink.

I then took a panel of Whisper White cardstock and stamped two stems/leaves on it.  I stamped the petals separately in Marina Mist ink and cut them out using the Daisy Punch.  I adhered the petals down using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I matted the Whisper White on Old Olive cardstock and then adhered everything to the card front.

I stamped the sentiment from the Daisy Delight stamp set in Versamark ink, sprinkled it with white embossing powder, and heat set it with the heat tool.  I added a small pattern from the Sweet Soiree Designer Series Paper to the inside of the card.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Lemon Zest Card

This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is a sketch challenge.  Happy hopping!

For today’s card I decided to pull out the Lemon Zest Stamp Set & Punch.  I started off with Peekaboo Peach cardstock which I embossed using the Pinewood Planks embossing folder.

I took a pattern from the Tutti-Frutti Designer Series Paper and matted it on Whisper White cardstock next.  I then stamped the sentiment from the Lemon Zest Stamp Set in Old Olive ink on Whisper White cardstock and cut it out using the Stitched Shapes Framelits.

I then stamped the lemons in Daffodil Delight ink on Whisper White cardstock and fussy cut out the sliced lemon and used the punch for the whole lemon.  I also cut out some leaves using the punch from Old Olive cardstock.  Before adhering the lemons down, I tucked behind everything a small banner of Old Olive cardstock.

I stamped the inside with the second part of the sentiment in Old Olive ink and added a whole lemon too.

Stampin’ Up! Eastern Palace – For You Card

This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is a color challenge.  Happy hopping!

When I saw the colors this week, I knew that I was going to use the Eastern Palace Designer Series Paper.

With the Annual Catalog, looming (well, sorta) around the corner, I always feel this mad dash to use up the old DSP.  It’s time to use it up and make room for all the new pretties!

My card today starts off with Dapper Denim cardstock.  I then took two patterns from the Eastern Palace DSP and matted one on Whisper White cardstock and the other on Lemon Lime Twist cardstock and adhered the cardsTock offset from one another on the card.  I wound a piece of Shimmer Basic Gray ribbon (free during Sale-a-bration) around the cardstock and adhered everything down.

I cut out a circle using the Layering Circles Framelits.  I dyed some Embossing Paste with a Lemon Lime Twist reinker and used one of the masks from the Pattern Party Decorative Masks and a Palette Knife to create the image on the circle.

I stamped the sentiment from the Happy Wishes Stamp Set (free during Sale-a-bration) in Versamark ink, sprinkled it with white embossing powder, and heat set it.  I adhered it down with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Enjoy!

Today’s card was inspired by this week’s challenge at Global Design Project.

Stampin’ Up! Fabulous Flamingo Baby Card

Happy Monday!

My card today is a sweet baby card.  I don’t make a ton of baby cards, but I do love the Fabulous Flamingo stamp set from the Annual Catalog for baby girl cards.

My card starts off with Pink Pirouette cardstock which I embossed using the Seaside Embossing Folder.  I then did a bit of layering with Whisper White on Pink Pirouette on Basic Black.  On the Whisper White I stamped the flamingo from the Fabulous Flamingo Stamp Set using Memento Black and Pink Pirouette inks (stamping off for the lighter shade).

I wrapped around some White Organza Ribbon into a bow around the cardstock.  I stamped the sentiment in Memento Black ink on Pink Pirouette cardstock and snuck behind it a piece of doily.  To finish it off, I added a few Pink Pirouette enamel shapes.

Enjoy!

Today’s card was inspired by challenges this week at Hand Stamped Sentiments and Freshly Made Sketches.

Stampin’ Up! At Home With You

As I mentioned yesterday, three of my cards this week feature the Stampin Blends Markers.

You can see yesterday’s card here.

Today I used the Stampin Blends Markers to color the At Home with You Bundle on a sweet “Congrats on your new home” card.

I start off with Pool Party cardstock.  I then matted a piece of Whisper White cardstock on Calypso Coral cardstock.  Before adhering the cardstock to the card front, I tucked a piece of White Doily behind it and tied a Linen Thread bow around.

I stamped the front door and wreath from the At Home with You Stamp Set in Memento Black ink on a piece of Whisper White cardstock.  I colored them in using the Crumb Cake, Pool Party, and Calypso Coral Stampin Blends Markers.  I also stamped and colored in a basket of flowers for the inside of the card.  I cut everything out using the At Home Famelits Dies and adhered them to the card.

Enjoy!

Today’s card was inspired by this week’s Fusion Card Challenge.
