Stampin’ Up! Christmas Card

Today’s joint blog hop is both a color and sketch challenge.  We could either use one or both.  I chose to use the color challenge (as I got just about done with the card and forgot it was a sketch challenge too).

My card starts off with Mossy Meadow cardstock.  I then layered it with two patterns from the Festive Farmhouse Designer Series Paper.  I covered the seam with Gray Granite Ribbon.

Using the Layering Oval Framelits, I cut out a large oval from Whisper White cardstock.  I used the Hearts Come Home Stamp Set to stamp the houses in Cherry Cobbler ink, trees in Mossy Meadow ink, and Santa in Gray Granite ink across it.

I cut out a scalloped oval using the same Layering Ovals Framelits from Mossy Meadow cardstock to layer underneath the scene.

I then stamped the sentiment from the Alpine Adventure Stamp Set in Cherry Cobbler ink.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Alpine Adventure – Happy Inkin’ Thursday

This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is a sketch challenge.  Happy hopping!

My card starts off with Cherry Cobbler cardstock which I layered with a pattern from the Festive Farmhouse Designer Series Paper.  Around it I wound some Very Vanilla Cotton Twine.

Next I cut out a Very Vanilla oval using the Layering Oval Framelits.  I stamped the sentiment from the Alpine Adventure Stamp Set in Mossy Meadow ink.  When I put the stamp on the block, I sort of maneuvered it so it would wrap around.  The photopolymer stamps are great for this!

Over the twine I adhered another pattern from the Festive Farmhouse DSP in a banner.

Next I cut out a sleigh from the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper using the coordinating Alpine Sports Thinlits.

Next I stamped the wreath from the Alpine Adventures Stamp Set in Mossy Meadow ink and the holly over it in Cherry Cobbler ink.  I cut it out with the same thinlits.  I added a Cherry Cobbler ribbon over the wreath.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Falling For Leaves – Thinking of You

As we speak I am away at a scrapbooking retreat.

As much as I love card making, scrapbooking is my first love, but I really only work on it during this weekend away.

I work on three different books – one for each of my kids.  I plan on posting pictures along the way on my Facebook page, so be sure to swing by to see what I’m working on.

My card today starts off with Mint Macaron cardstock.  I next stamped the Buffalo Check stamp set in Crumb Cake ink on Whisper White cardstock and matted it on Whisper White cardstock.

I wrapped a Mint Macaron bow around the card front.  This ribbon is part of the Nature’s Twine pack.

Using the Detailed Leaf Thinlits, I cut out the bottom leaf from Crumb Cake cardstock and the top (more detailed) leaf from Crushed Curry cardstock.

Lastly, I stamped the sentiment from the Falling For Leaves Stamp Set in Crushed Curry ink on Whisper White cardstock and cut it out using the Layering Circles Framelits.  I used the same framelits to cut out a Mint Macaron scalloped circle.  I adhered this down using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Making Christmas Bright Card

This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is a color challenge.  Happy hopping!

My card starts with Poppy Parade cardstock.  I then took a pattern from the Santa’s Workshop Designer Series Paper and matted it on Whisper White cardstock.

Next I took a panel of Whisper White cardstock and stamped the string of lights from the Making Christmas Bright Stamp Set over it in Memento Black ink.  I used the Garden Green and Poppy Parade Stampin’ Write Markers to color in the lights and then matted it on Garden Green cardstock.

I wound some Poppy Parade ribbon and Garden Green Baker’s Twine where the sentiment would go.

I stamped the “May your Christmas be” in Garden Green ink and the circle around it and the “bright” in Poppy Parade cardstock.  I cut it out with the Layering Circles Framelits.  I adhered this down by stacking two Stampin’ Dimensionals over one another.

Lastly I added two Garden Green enamel dots from the Santa’s Workshop Enamel Shapes.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Winter Woods Christmas Card

Today’s card is one I made for last week’s Facebook Live Tutorial.

It uses the Winter Woods Bundle with hints of snowflakes behind it from the Beautiful Blizzard Stamp Set.  I stamped the snowflakes the same way I did for this cute snowman card.

I normally do a Facebook Live Tutorial Wednesday nights at 7:30 pm.  However, being that tonight is Halloween, and I will be out with my trick-o-treaters, I won’t be able to go live.  Also, next week I’ll be in Orlando for OnStage with Stampin’ Up!

So be sure to swing by November 14th for my next Facebook Live Tutorial.  If you ever miss a video, you can check them out on my YouTube channel.

Check out the video below to see how I made today’s card:

Stampin’ Up! Wishing You Well Christmas Card

There are many reasons why I choose to buy certain stamps.

I try to pick ones that I think will be versatile (cards, scrapbooking, 3D projects)…
I’m a sucker for good and punny sentiments…
I love pretty calligraphy…

But sometimes I buy a stamp set because I love one image.

And I love-love-love the bow image from the Wishing You Well Stamp Set.

I really enjoy crafting with this set, but the bow is what steals the show for me.

My card today starts off with Cherry Cobbler cardstock which I embossed using the Pinewood Planks embossing folder.  Down the middle I adhered a pattern from the Festive Farmhouse Designer Series Paper.

I stamped the wreath from the Wishing You Well Stamp Set in Mossy Meadow ink on another pattern from the Festive Farmhouse DSP.  I matted this on Mossy Meadow cardstock.

Next I stamped the bow in Cherry Cobbler ink and fussy cut it out using Paper Snips.  I adhered this using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Lastly, I stamped the sentiment in Cherry Cobbler ink.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! First Frost – CTS295

The next two weeks are going to be quite busy for me.

I plan on posting lots of pictures along the way of both so be sure to “like” my Facebook page so you can follow along!

My card today is a simple and sweet one using the First Frost Bundle.  It starts off with Petal Pink cardstock.

I took a panel of Whisper White cardstock and stamped the “vine” image from the First Frost Stamp Set in Mint Macaron three times in the left hand corner.  I stamped the sentiment in Merry Merlot ink underneath it.

The Whisper White cardstock got matted on Merry Merlot cardstock.  Next I used the Frosted Bouquet Thinlits to cut out two sprigs from Petal Pink cardstock.

I stamped two flowers in Merry Merlot and Petal Pink ink and cut them out with the same thinlits.

I added a Mint Macaron bow and a few rhinestones to finish it off.

Enjoy!

Today’s card was inspired by this week’s CAS(E) this Sketch! Challenge.

This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop challenge is a sketch challenge this week.

My card today starts off with Tranquil Tide cardstock.  I then took a panel of Pool Party cardstock, embossed it using the Swirls & Curls Embossing Folder, and matted it on Whisper White cardstock.

Next I cut out a circle using the Stitched Shapes Framelits and Silver Foil.  Next I took a pattern from the Joyous Noel Designer Series Paper and used the Detailed Deer Framelits to cut out a deer.

I used one of the flower framelits and Whisper White cardstock to adhere a flower over the deer’s collar.  I added a rhinestone over the top of that.

I stamped the sentiment in Pool Party ink on Whisper White cardstock and cut it out with the Stitched Shapes Framelits.  I wound behind it the Tranquil Tide Velvet Ribbon.
