Stampin’ Up! Best Dressed Birthday Card

This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is a sketch challenge.  Happy hopping!

My card today starts off with Petal Pink cardstock which I embossed using the Coastal Weave Embossing Folder.

I then cut out a Lovely Lipstick scalloped circle using Layering Circles Dies.  I used the Stitched Shapes Dies to cut out a pattern from the Best Dressed Designer Series Paper.

I used the Wild Rose Dies to cut out leaves from Old Olive cardstock and Pear Pizzazz cardstock which I adhered under the Designer Series Paper.

I stamped the sentiment from the Varied Vases Stamp Set in Lovely Lipstick ink.  I cut the end in a banner and used my bone folder to curve it.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Lilypad Lake Thinking of You Card

I love simple cards.
They’re probably my go-to.

And as much as I love a decked out card, simple is still my first love.

My card today starts off with Flirty Flamingo cardstock.  I then took a panel of Whisper White cardstock and used a sponge dauber to add a hint of Flirty Flamingo ink as a background.  I then matted this on another panel of Flirty Flamingo cardstock.

I stamped the bird and lily pad from the Lilypad Lake Stamp Set in Memento Black ink on Whisper White cardstock.  I colored them in using Flirty Flamingo (lilies), Light Lovely Lipstick (lilies), Granny Apple Green (lily pad), Pineapple Punch (bird) Stampin’ Blends Markers.

Next I stamped the sentiment from the Lovely Lilypad Stamp Set in Lovely Lipstick ink and cut it out with the coordinating Lakeside Lily Dies.  I covered part of the sentiment with washi tape, inked it up, removed the tape, and stamped it down.  That way only the “thinking of you” gets stamped.

Enjoy!!

Today’s card is part of our newest challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments.  It’s a great, colorful one with great inspiring images.  Be sure to play along with us this week!

Stampin’ Up! Parisian Beauty Off To Places Card

I love when two stamp sets from different catalogs work great together!!

I’m using the Parisian Beauty (from the Jan-June Mini Catalog) and the Above the Clouds (from the Annual Catalog) Stamp Sets for today’s card.

My card starts off with Pool Party cardstock.  On this I adhered a pattern from the Parisian Blossoms Designer Series Paper.

Next I stamped the Eiffel Tower from the Parisian Beauty Stamp Set in Petal Pink ink on a 2″ panel of Whisper White cardstock.  I cut the end in a banner and adhered it down using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the stamp from the Parisian Beauty Stamp Set in Petal Pink ink and fussy cut it out.  I used the Layering Circles Dies to cut out a small circle from Petal Pink cardstock.  I adhered the stamp on the circle using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Lastly, I stamped the sentiment from the Above the Clouds Stamp Set in Pool Party ink.  I then snipped it in half and adhered it down using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Sailing Home Thanks Card

This past weekend my family and I visited family in Montreal, Canada.

We ended up staying one more day until Monday, which meant my card for Monday morning never happened because I didn’t bring my laptop with me.

So needless to say, today’s card was meant for Monday and would’ve been a part of this sketch challenge (so you can see my inspiration).

My card starts off with Crumb Cake cardstock.  I next took a pattern from the Come Sail Away Designer Series Paper and matted it on Night of Navy cardstock.  Around that I wound some Night of Navy/Sahara Sand Baker’s Twine into a knot.

Next I used the Stitched Rectangles Dies to cut out a piece of Night of Navy cardstock.   To the side I stamped the birds from the Sailing Home Stamp Set in Night of Navy ink.

On a separate piece of Whisper White cardstock I stamped the sailboat and sentiment in Night of Navy ink and cut them out using the coordinating Smooth Sailing Dies, which I adhered down using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Friendship Birthday Card

I love creating cards with specific people in mind.
It means I can customize them specifically to that person’s likes and personality.

Today’s card is one I created for a dear friend’s birthday.  She loves bright pink, flowers, and bling…this is what I created…

My card starts off with Lovely Lipstick cardstock.  I then took a panel of Whisper White cardstock and stamped the flowers from the To A Wild Rose in Lovely Lipstick ink (stamping off for the lighter shade) and the leaves around it in Mossy Meadow ink (stamping off for the lighter shade).

I did the same on a separate piece of Whisper White cardstock and cut it out using the Wild Rose Dies.  I adhered it down using Stampin’ Dimensionals and then stamped the sentiment from the To A Wild Rose Stamp Set next to it in Lovely Lipstick ink.

I matted this on Vellum and tied a Lovely Lipstick ribbon next to the flowers.  Lastly, I added a few rhinestones.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Friendship Congrats Card

This week is Christmas.  I’ll be posting as normal (except for Wednesday).

I hope you have a great week ahead!  My kids are now home and it’s my favorite vacation of the year.

It’s freezing here which forces us to stay inside and relax.  Kids will play with new Christmas gifts.  There’ll be many PJ days and lots of board game playing and stamping for me.  It’s a super relaxed week and to tell you the truth – I’m more giddy about the week ahead than actual Christmas day (which can be a bit chaotic).

Christmas cards are done so I’m back to making regular every day cards (which are much needed as my stash is depleted.

My card today starts off with Pear Pizzazz cardstock.

I then took a panel of Whisper White cardstock and stamped the flowers from the Beautiful Friendship Stamp Set in So Saffron ink and the leaves in Pear Pizzazz ink in the corners.  I then tucked a Soft Sea Foam pattern from the Subtles Designer Series Paper pack behind it.

I then stamped the sentiment from the Beautiful Friendship in Pear Pizzazz ink on Soft Sea Foam cardstock and snipped the end in a banner.

I wound some Whisper White Baker’s Twine underneath and added a few pearls around it.

Enjoy!

Today’s card was inspired by this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge.
