Stampin’ Up! Thank You Card – Flower Surgery

My husband was in need of a few thank you cards, so of course he knew who to ask.

I wanted them to be simple, but eye catching.
Both the dies and stamp set are scheduled to retire, so don’t miss out and get them while you can.

My card starts off with Lovely Lipstick cardstock.  I then took a panel of Whisper White cardstock and matted it on Petal Pink cardstock.

I stamped the “thank you” from the Humming Along stamp set in Lovely Lipstick ink on the Whisper White panel.

I then made the flower using the May Flowers Dies.  I cut out a flower from Lovely Lipstick, Flirty Flamingo, and Petal Pink cardstock.  I trimmed down the Flirty Flamingo a little and the Petal Pink a little more and adhered them over one another.

You can see pictures of the step-by-step on my Facebook page here.

I used the same dies to cut out three leaves from Call Me Clover cardstock.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Lots of Pink Mother’s Day Card

Today’s card was very specifically made with someone in mind…
My grandma.

My grandma loves pink…always has and she loves flowers…always has, so I made this Mother’s Day card for her.

My card starts off with Thick Whisper White cardstock which I layered with a Flirty Flamingo pattern from the Brights Designer Series Paper.

I took a panel of Whisper White cardstock and stamped the floral image from the All That You Are Stamp Set in Memento Black Ink.  I colored it in using Flirty Flamingo and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends Markers.

I then used the Be Mine Dies to cut out a heart from the flower image.  I adhered underneath it two hearts which I cut out from Whisper White cardstock so it would be lifted.

I then used the Well Written Dies and cut out two Whisper White and one Flirty Flamingo “happy” sentiments which I adhered right over each other.  I stamped the “Mother’s Day” from the Well Said Stamp Set which I stamped in Flirty Flamingo ink on Whisper White cardstock.  I used the same Be Mine Dies again to cut out a scalloped stitched piece of Flirty Flamingo cardstock.

Lastly I added some rhinestones and a few Share What You Love Artisan Pearls.  I also wound around some Flirty Flamingo ribbon to go next to the sentiment.

Enjoy!

PRODUCT LIST:

Stampin’ Up! Beach Happy Thanks Card

The Beach Happy Stamp Set caught my eye in the Occasions Catalog right from the start.
Specifically, the example card they made on page 37.

I finally got a chance to CASE (copy and selectively edit) it.
I’m sad to say the Beach Happy Stamp Set will be retired after the Occasions Catalog.

My card starts off with Coastal Cabana cardstock.  I then matted a panel of Soft Suede cardstock on Whisper White cardstock.

I then cut out a panel of Watercolor Paper using the Rectangle Stitched Dies.  I did a watercolor background using an Aqua Painter and Coastal Cabana, Bermuda Bay, Crumb Cake, and Soft Suede ink.

Once the watercolor paper was dry, I stamped the palm tree trunk in Soft Suede ink.  I stamped the palm leaves in Versamark ink, sprinkled it with Gold Embossing Powder, and heat set it.

I stamped the sentiment in Coastal Cabana ink on Whisper White cardstock, adhered a piece of Burlap Ribbon underneath it which I roughed up a bit, and added a Tropical Element next to it.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Another Wonderful Year Father’s Day Card

This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is a sketch challenge.  Happy hopping!

My card starts off with Soft Suede cardstock.  I stamped the sentiment from the Another Wonderful Year Stamp Set in Soft Suede ink across the front of the card and then used the Layering Ovals Framelits to cut out an oval out of the front.

Stampin’ Up! Father’s Day Video Tutorial

Yay for it being Wednesday!

That means I’ll be going live tonight with another Facebook Live Tutorial.  Last week I made the card below and I have another masculine birthday card for you tonight.

Be sure to join me at 7:30 pm EST!  If you catch it live and leave a comment, at the end I’ll draw a name for someone to receive tonight’s card!

Today’s card is super easy to make – the Designer Series Paper does all the work…well, with the help of a little fussy cutting on your part.

For my example I made a Father’s Day card, but in the video I turned it into a birthday card.  The Well Said Stamp Set is so versatile that you can pretty much make any sort of sentiment needed.

Be sure to join me tonight.  The masculine birthday card I’ll make uses a new technique that I tried out.  I’d love to know what you think!

To see how I created today’s card, click the video below.  If you ever miss any of my videos, you can always see all of them on my YouTube Channel.

Stampin’ Up! Varied Vases Mother’s Day Card

This month’s Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop’s theme is “Feminine.”  Have fun hopping around to see how all the ladies interpreted the them.

I went with a really simple Mother’s Day card using the new color challenge from Hand Stamped Sentiments.

My card starts off with Lovely Lipstick cardstock which I layered with a pattern from the All My Love Designer Series Paper.

I then matted a panel of Whisper White cardstock on Whisper White cardstock.  I then stamped the “shelf,” vases, and outline of the flowers and leaves in Memento Black ink.

This week’s Hand Stamped Sentiments new color challenge was how I picked the colors I did.  Be sure to play along with us this month.

I used Lovely Lipstick, Flirty Flamingo, and Call Me Clover inks to add color to the flowers and leaves.  I added a few Pearls inside the one flower.

I stamped the sentiment from the You’re Inspiring Stamp Set in Memento Black ink.

Enjoy!
