Stampin’ Up! Let It Ride Card

Happy Monday everyone!

Thanks so much for checking out my cards this week.
You’re in for a treat – 4 out of my 5 cards use Stampin’ Blends Markers.

I guess saying I really like using them to color is an understatement.

My card today starts off with Very Vanilla cardstock.  Over that I adhered a pattern from the Wood Textures Designer Series paper. and just above that I adhered a bow using Linen Thread.

Next I used the Let It Ride Stamp Set and stamped the horse in Memento Black Ink.  I used Pumpkin Pie and Cajun Craze Stampin’ Blends Markers to color it in.  I used the masking technique to cover the horse and stamp the trees around it in Mossy Meadow ink.

Lastly I stamped the sentiment in Mossy Meadow ink on Crumb Cake cardstock and adhered it using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Enjoy!

Today’s card was inspired by this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

Stampin’ Up! Home To Roost

I hope you had a relaxing weekend.

This week ahead is my kids’ winter break.  I envision lots of pajama days and crafting in our future this week!
How about you?!

My card today starts off with Crumb Cake cardstock which I embossed using the Tin Tile Embossing Folder.  This is a fun folder from the Holiday Catalog that Stampin’ Up! brought back in the Occasions Catalog.

Next I took a panel of Whisper White cardstock and first stamped the rooster from the Home To Roost Stamp Set in Memento Black ink.  I colored him using Real Red, Mango Melody, Pumpkin Pie, Crumb Cake, and Bermuda Bay Stampin’ Blends Markers.

Keep in mind that the Home To Roost Stamp set is available for free only during Sale-A-Bration so don’t miss out on getting yours today with a $50 order.

I next did the masking technique to stamp the grass behind the rooster in Crumb Cake ink.

To do the masking technique: Stamp the rooster image on a piece of Post-It Note; fussy cut it out; place the Post-It Note over the rooster on the Whisper White cardstock; stamp the grass in Crumb Cake ink. Easy peasy.

Lastly I stamped the sentiment in Versamark ink on Real Red cardstock, sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder, and heat set it.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Birthday Card

This is what I call a smorgasbord of a card.
I literally uses a little of this and a little of that.

I designed this card for a specific friend in mind and tried to tailor it to her.  She loves butterflies, the color hot pink, bling, and flowers.

Ironically enough I (unintentionally) basically did the same color combination as this card here.

My card starts off with Coastal Cabana cardstock which I embossed using the Petal Pair Embossing Folder.

Next I used the Rectangle Stitched Framelits and cut out two patterns from the Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper, layering one of the other.

Next I stamped the sentiment from the Picture Perfect Birthday Stamp Set in Lovely Lipstick ink on Whisper White cardstock and cut it out using the Stitched Shapes Framelits.  I cut out a scalloped circle from Lovely Lipstick Foil Sheet using the Layering Circle Framelits.

Next I used the Dark and Light Lovely Lipstick Stampin’ Blends Markers and colored in two butterflies from the Botanical Butterfly DSP and fussy cut them out.  I adhered them down using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Enjoy!

PRODUCT LIST:

Stampin’ Up! Beach Happy Card

This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop challenge is a sketch challenge.  Happy hopping!

My card today starts off with Coastal Cabana cardstock.  I then took a panel of Bermuda Bay cardstock and embossed it using the Seaside Embossing Folder and then matted it on Whisper White cardstock.

Next I used the Stitched Shapes Framelits to cut out a square and stamped the outline image from the Beach Happy stamp set in Memento Black ink.  I inked up the umbrella image in Coastal Cabana ink and the beach chair and water in Bermuda Bay ink.

I used the Under the Sea Thinlits to cut out two fishing nets from Crumb Cake cardstock and adhered them under the square.  I did a little trimming to get the look I wanted.  I also used the same thinlits to cut out the sand dollar.  I cut out two in order to adhere a second star over the first to make it more 3D.

Lastly I stamped the sentiment from the Flourishing Phrases stamp set in Coastal Cabana ink.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Wonderful Romance Video Tutorial

I had a lot of fun making these cards last week for my Wednesday night Facebook Live tutorial.

We all have different styles, as well as different product on hand to use.

So whether you’re just starting out and may not have a lot to pull from or you’ve been crafting for a while and like a “full” card, your cards can be beautiful.

I started off with a simple design – what I call my “bronze” card – and then stepped it up for my “silver” card and then stepped that one up for my “gold” card.

I’ll be back tonight at 7:30 pm EST on my Facebook page.  I had someone request that I do a tutorial on how to use the Watercolor Pencils (I gave a little sneak peek yesterday on my Facebook page) so I’ll be creating a card using Watercolor Pencils and the By the Bay Stamp Set.

I sure hope you’ll join me tonight.  If you watch live, leave some sort of a comment, at the end I draw a name for someone to receive tonight’s card!

If you ever miss a tutorial, you can check them out on my YouTube channel.

For last week’s tutorial on how to make these three cards, check out the video below:

Stampin’ Up! Meant To Be Valentine’s Day Card

You made it to Friday – Yay!

Any fun plans this weekend?!
We’re still hibernating here in New York which is fine with me because that means lots of stamping in my future.

Before I begin with today’s card, the idea to stamp the hearts in a row is not my original idea and unfortunately I can’t remember who I saw it from.  I did a quick search on Pinterest but I can’t find the original card.  If it’s you, please let me know and I’ll be sure to mention you specifically.

My card starts off with Lovely Lipstick cardstock which I embossed using the Simple Embossing Folder.

I then took a panel of Whisper White cardstock and used the Stamparatus to stamp the heart from the Meant To Be Stamp Set first in Grapefruit Grove, then Lovely Lipstick, and then Blushing Bride across it.  Using the Stamparatus ensures that the images will be perfectly spaced out.

I then matted this on Grapefruit Grove/Lovely Lipstick Foil Sheet.

Lastly I stamped the sentiment from the Forever Lovely Stamp Set in Versamark ink, sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder, and heat set it.  I adhered it down using Mini Dimensionals.

Enjoy!

Today’s card was inspired by this week’s Fab Friday Challenge.
