Stampin’ Up! Butterfly Duet Jar

With all the excitement of the Occasions Catalog, some of my Annual Catalog favorites have taken a back seat.

But today’s card uses a brand new bundle, newer Designer Series Paper, and an older stamp set/framelit combo, but all are current and work beautifully together.

My card starts off with Night of Navy cardstock.  I then took a pattern from the Garden Impressions Designer Series Paper and matted it on Whisper White cardstock.

Next I stamped the sentiment from the Butterfly Gala Stamp Set in Night of Navy ink on So Saffron cardstock and then added a few Mango Melody enamel shapes from the Best Route Enamel Shapes.

I stamped the jar from the Jar of Love Stamp Set in Night of Navy ink and cut it out using the coordinating Everyday Jars Framelits.  I tied a Night of Navy Baker’s Twine bow around the top and adhered it down using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Lastly I stamped the butterfly in Mango Melody ink on Mango Melody cardstock.  I cut it out with the Butterfly Duet Punch.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Masculine Birthday Card

This past Saturday was my dad’s birthday…

sighhhh….which means I had to make a masculine card…

They’re just so challenging.  No bling.  No fancy bells or whistles.
My go-to for masculine cards – simple layout, neutral colors.

My card starts off with Crumb Cake cardstock which I embossed using the Subtle Embossing Folder.

Next I took a pattern from the Happiness Blooms Designer Series Paper and matted it on Night of Navy cardstock.  Over that I adhered a Whisper White circle which I cut out using the Stitched Shapes Framelits.

I then used the Piece of Cake Bundle to create the cake and platter.  For the platter I stamped it in Basic Gray ink on Basic Gray cardstock.  For the cake I stamped it in Versamark ink on Night of Navy cardstock and heat embossed it using White Embossing Powder.  Lastly I stamped the candles in Basic Gray ink on Whisper White cardstock and fussy cut them out.

Lastly I stamped the “time to celebrate” in Basic Gray ink on Whisper White cardstock, adhering it down using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I added a few Night of Navy enamel dots to finish it off.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! All That You Are Thank You Card

Did you happen to miss out on the Organdy Ribbon during Sale-A-Bration?

Check out the bottom of my post today for a chance to still get your hands on some.

Now for today’s card…

My card starts off with Thick Whisper White cardstock on which I adhered a Highland Heather pattern from the Subtles Designer Series Paper.

Next I took a Post-It Note and used the Layering Circles Framelits to cut out a circle.  I placed this over a panel of Whisper White cardstock and stamped the images from the All That You Are stamp set around it in Highland Heather, Balmy Blue, and Mint Macaron.

I matted this on Mint Macaron cardstock.  I cut out the same sized circle from Balmy Blue cardstock and tied a Whisper White Baker’s Twine Bow around it all.

I then stamped the sentiment from the All That You Are stamp set in Balmy Blue and adhered it over the circle using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I also added a few sequins around the card front.

Enjoy!

Today’s card was inspired by this week’s Sunday Stamps challenge.

Stampin’ Up! More Than Words Easter Card

Yesterday we had a great sketch challenge for our Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.

It was also my upline, Amy’s, birthday so we decided to all make birthday cards (as a surprise).  However, by the time we decided to do this, my card had already been made for the sketch.

So today’s card actually fits yesterday’s sketch challenge too.

My card starts off with Blushing Bride cardstock.  I then took a panel of Whisper White cardstock and stamped the wreath from the Wishing You Well Stamp Set in Crumb Cake, Mint Macaron, and Blushing Bride.   When I put it on the block I sort of scrunched it up to make it more oval than circular.

I matted this on Crumb Cake cardstock and wrapped around some Whisper White Flax Ribbon and then tied a White Baker’s Twine bow around it as well.

Next I stamped the sentiment from the More Than Words Stamp Set in Versamark ink on Mint Macaron cardsock, sprinkled it with white embossing powder, and heat set it.

This is a very versatile stamp set with great sentiments.  It is only available for just a few days more, so don’t wait!

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Sweetest Thing Birthday Card

This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is a sketch challenge.

Today is also Amy’s birthday!!!  So in addition to the sketch below we all made birthday cards in celebration of her!  Be sure to head over to her blog and give her some birthday love!

My card starts off with Bermuda Bay cardstock.  I then used the Jar of Sweets Framelits and cut out a whole bunch of candy wrappers in Bermuda Bay cardstock to adhere around the card front.  (Keep in mind that the middle is covered and doesn’t need wrappers.)

Next I took a panel of Whisper White cardstock and matted it on Grapefruit Grove cardstock.  I stamped the candy jars and candy from the Sweetest Thing Stamp Set in Memento Black ink on Melon Mambo, Grapefruit Grove, and Bermuda Bay cardstock, cutting them out with the same framelits.

I then wrapped around a Grapefruit Grover ribbon and also added a few Melon Mambo Glitter Enamel Dots.

Lastly I stamped the sentiment in Versamark ink, sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder, and heat set it.  I adhered it down using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Swirly Frames Video Tutorial

Everyone has a style…a way they like to create.

I really enjoy making cards that are on the simple side, yet pretty and eye catching.

Today’s card was inspired by this card I made a few weeks ago…simple, yet there’s something so pretty about White and Navy together.

Today’s card is one I made last week for my Wednesday night Facebook Live Tutorial.  Normally I would be on again tonight; however, my mother, my kids, and I are going to a concert so I won’t be doing a tutorial.  I’ll be back next Wednesday night though!

If you ever miss a video tutorial, you can always check them out on YouTube.

To see how I created today’s card, check out the video below:

Stampin’ Up! Beauty Abounds Gradient Card – HSS311

Ready for a fun, new sketch challenge from Hand Stamped Sentiments?!

I definitely was inspired by the layout and kept with the butterflies from the sketch.
Be sure to play along this week!

My card starts off with Highland Heather cardstock over which I adhered a Gorgeous Grape pattern from the Brights Designer Series Paper.

Next I took a panel of Whisper White cardstock and stamped the bokeh images from the Beauty Abounds Stamp Set in Gorgeous Grape and Highland Heather (stamping off for lighter shades) from darkest to lightest.  I then stamped the butterflies the same way and cut them out using the coordinating Butterfly Beauty Thinlits.

I used the Stitched Shapes Framelits to cut out an oval from Vellum and then stamped the sentiment from the Hold on to Hope Stamp Set in Gorgeous Grape ink.

I added a few rhinestones all around the butterflies.  I then took a piece of sponge and added Gorgeous Grape color all around the edge of the Whisper White cardstock before matting it on Gorgeous Grape cardstock.

Stampin’ Up! Lasting Lily Sympathy Card

Sympathy cards are by no means cards I enjoy sending.

And yet, many times they have a way of conveying what I wish to say when words fail.

The Sale-A-Bration Lasting Lily is perfect for such a card.

My card starts off with Grapefruit Grove cardstock which I embossed using the Softly Falling Embossing Folder.  I adhered a pattern from the Gingham Gala Designer Series Paper to the right of the card.

Next I took a panel of Whisper White cardstock and stamped the lilies from the Lasting Lily on it, one in Grapefruit Grove ink and the other in Daffodil Delight ink.  The stems and leaves I stamped in Lemon Lime Twist.

I matted this on another panel of Whisper White cardstock with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Next I stamped the sentiment in Grapefruit Grove ink and tucked underneath it a Colored Doily, adhering everything down with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Lastly I added some Pearls around the card.

Enjoy!

Today’s card was inspired by this week’s Global Design Project challenge.

Stampin’ Up! Monochromatic Easy Card

Maybe it’s because St. Patrick’s Day just passed or maybe it’s because I’m ready to see some green on the trees and grass…

But today’s card is a monochromatic green card using the Tropical Chic and Incredible Like You stamp sets.

My card starts off with Call Me Clover Cardstock.

Next I took a panel of Whisper White cardstock and stamped all around it the images from the Tropical Chic Stamp Set in Shaded Spruce, Call Me Clover, and Granny Apple Green ink.  I then matted this on Granny Apple Green cardstock.

Next I wrapped around a knot using the Granny Apple Green Textured ribbon.  This is one of my favorite ribbons to work with as it is very easy to make a beautiful bow or knot.

Lastly I stamped the sentiment from the Incredible Like You Stamp Set in Versamark ink on Shaded Spruce cardstock.  I sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder and heat set it.  I adhered it down using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Enjoy!

Today’s card was inspired by this week’s Fab Friday sketch challenge.
