Stampin’ Up! Spotlight Technique with Joyful Holly Stamp

Who’s excited it’s Friday!

My card starts with Real Red cardstock, which I embossed using the Winter Snow Embossing Folder. I first stamped the holly image from the Joyful Holly Stamp Set in Memento Black ink on Whisper White cardstock.

I used the Stitched Rectangles Dies to cut out a piece of it. I used Shaded Spruce and Cherry Cobbler ink pads to color in just the piece that was cut out and matted it on a panel of Cherry Cobbler cardstock.

I used the Stitched Be Mine Dies to cut out a scalloped piece of Shaded Spruce cardstock to go to the left of cut out piece and adhered it all down using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Joyful Holly Stamp Set in Versamark ink on Shaded Spruce cardstock, sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder and heat set it. I used the Stitched Rectangles Dies to cut it out.

I used this technique here to customize the size of the die to the sentiment. (You can skip ahead to 17 mins to see how I did it.)

Lastly, I added a few rhinestones around.

Thanks for checking out my project today!

Today’s card was inspired by this week’s Fab Friday Challenge.

Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Petals Christmas Card

Last Saturday was World Card Making.

Kinda cool that there’s a day celebrating what we all love doing so much!
Our team celebrated by going live every hour on the hour in a Facebook event with different presentations.

Today’s card is the one I shared!

** This Designer Series Paper (along with 14 others) is on sale RIGHT NOW! Read all about it and how you can grab a pack of free solid cardstock from me at the bottom of this post! **

I used the (GORGEOUS) Red Velvet Paper and Shaded Spruce cardstock and the Poinsettia Dies to create the sweetest 3D poinsettia. I glued a Beaded Pearl to the inside.

I then stamped the sentiment from the Poinsettia Petals Stamp Set in Real Red ink on Whisper White cardstock, cutting it using the Stitched Rectangles Dies and adhering it down using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Stampin’ Up! Press On Birthday Card

This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is a theme challenge. Happy hopping!

My card starts off with Cinnamon Cider cardstock. I then matted a pattern from the Plaid Tidings Designer Series Paper on Basic Black cardstock.

I stamped the same coffee cup on a piece of Cinnamon Cider cardstock, which I then embossed using one of the folders from the Wrapped in Texture Embossing Folders. I fussy cut the band out and adhered it over the coffee cup.

Underneath it I added a few sprigs, which I cut out from Cajun Craze cardstock using the Sunflower Dies, and some Cinnamon Cider ribbon. I also used the Stitched Shapes Dies to cut out a Basic Black circle and around I added a few Cinnamon Cider Enamel Dots.

Lastly, I stamped the sentiment from the Press On Stamp Set in Cajun Craze ink on Whisper White cardstock and then cut it out using the Stitched Nested Dies.

Stampin’ Up! Ombre Peace & Joy Christmas Card

Happy Monday!

I hope you were able to get some stamping in this weekend.
Here in Upstate New York, the weather is getting chilly, which is perfect stamping weather – my favorite!!

Today’s card starts off with Thick Whisper White cardstock. I then took a pattern from the Snowflake Splendor Designer Series Paper, divided it in two, and matted it on Whisper White cardstock.

**This beautiful Snowflake Splendor Designer Series Paper is on sale right now – 15% off – along with a variety of other paper as well. All the details are at the bottom of this post.**

I then took Balmy Blue and Highland Heather Stampin’ Blends. I colored a piece of Whisper White cardstock from the top to the bottom using Light Highland Heather, Dark Highland Heather, Dark Balmy Blue, and Light Balmy Blue Stampin’ Blends Marrkers. I cut it out with the Joy Dies.

I used the same Joy Dies to cut out a Whisper White and then Highland Heather bubble letters to mat the colorful “Bright” on. I then stamped the “merry and” in Highland Heather ink on Whisper White cardstock and fussy cut them out.

Lastly, I added a Glitter Star embellishment under the sentiment.

Thanks for checking out my project today!

Stampin’ Up! Week of Designer Series Paper Card – Day 3 – Video Tutorial

All this week I’ve been sharing cards that use Designer Series Paper.
And I’m also sharing the top ways I like to use it.

If you missed Day 1, you can see it here and Day 2 here.

This is all leading up to a Designer Series Paper sale beginning October 1st – 15% off select Designer Series Paper.

AND on any order $50+ when you order at least one pack of Designer Series Paper, I’m throwing in a free pack of solid cardstock (in addition to the free $9 item).

Day 3: I love using Designer Series Paper for what they’re designed for.

What do I mean?  Whether it’s a snowflake pattern, tree pattern, heart pattern, or a pattern with people – I use it for just that.  If there’s an actual image being shown, I use it on my card for what it actually is.

Today, I wanted a background to my skiing buddy, so I went for a snowflake pattern.

Today’s card is the one I shared last week for my Facebook live.  It uses the super cute Freezin’ Fun Bundle in the Aug-Dec Mini Catalog and I paired it with the Trimming the Town Designer Series Paper.

I’ll be back tonight with another live demonstration at 7:30 pm EST on my Facebook page.  Catch it live and you’ll have a chance to win the card!

If you ever miss a tutorial, you can check them out on my YouTube channel.

Stampin’ Up! Gather Together Card

There’s a great Designer Series Paper sale starting October 1st…
15% off select Designer Series Paper from the Annual and Mini Catalogs.

In light of this, all my cards this week will use Designer Series Paper and share one of my favorite ways to use it.

If you missed day one, click here.

I like to use Designer Series Paper to add a small detail to my cards.  Sometimes you just want a little extra “oomph” and it’s perfect for just that.  It doesn’t have to be the focal point of a project, but still can add a nice little detail to it.

My card today starts off with Gray Granite cardstock.  I cut a small pattern from the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper to adhere to the card front.  I took two smaller panels of Gray Granite cardstock and stamped the wheat from the Gather Together Stamp Set in Gray Granite ink on the bottom.

I matted these on Whisper White cardstock and adhered them down using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I used the same Gather Together Stamp Set and stamped the big pumpkin in Pumpkin Pie ink, one small cluster of pumpkins in Gray Granite ink, and the second one in Crumb Cake ink.  I colored them in using Stampin’ Blends Markers in the same colors.

I cut them out with the coordinating Gathered Leaves Dies.  I used the same dies to cut out leaves from Basic Gray, Pumpkin Pin, and Crumb Cake cardstock to go behind the pumpkins.

When I was all done, I realized I hadn’t left room for the sentiment, so I decided to stamp the sentiment on the inside in Gray Granite ink.

Thanks for checking out my project today!!

Today’s card is part of the new challenge over at Hand Stamped Sentiments.  Be sure to play along with this new inspiration challenge!

Stampin’ Up! Snowflake Splendor Foam Adhesive Sheet Card

I am loving the Foam Adhesive Sheets.

They’re great to add dimension on small pieces (or large pieces) when regular Stampin’ Dimensionals wouldn’t fit.

I used them two weeks ago for my Facebook Live video.  In it I mentioned that I made a card using the Foam Adhesive Sheets with more intricate snowflakes and I wanted to share it with you today.

My card starts off with Misty Moonlight cardstock.  I then took a panel of Whisper White cardstock and matted it on Balmy Blue cardstock.

I took a pattern from the Trimming the Town Designer Series Paper and cut the bottom of it using a die from the Pine Woods Dies.  I adhered this down using Stampin’ Dimensionals and stamped the sentiment from the Snowflake Wishes Stamp Set in Balmy Blue ink in the corner.

Lastly, I then used the So Many Snowflakes Dies and the Foam Adhesive Sheets to cut out snowflakes.  I also cut a few out of Balmy Blue Glimmer Paper.

You’ll want to check out this video I did using the Foam Adhesive Sheets to see how to use them.

Thanks for checking out my project today!

Have a great weekend!

Stampin’ Up! Love for Leaves Fall Hello Card

The Plaid Tidings Designer Series Paper is a great pack of all different patterns of plaid.

There are Christmas patterns and fall patterns, even Valentine’s Day, and then some general plaids.

The plaid I picked for today’s card reminds me of a beautiful poncho and I knew I had to use it for an all occasion fall card.

My card starts off with Very Vanilla cardstock, which I embossed using the Pinewood Planks Embossing Folder.

I then took a pattern from the Plaid Tidings Designer Series Paper using the Layering Circles Dies.  I used the Stitched Leaves Dies to cut out a leaf from the circle.

I cut out a scalloped Cajun Craze circle using the same Circle Dies and then used the Stitched Leaves Dies again to make an impression of a leaf in it.  I adhered the plaid over the Cajun Craze circle using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Lastly, I stamped the sentiment from the Love for Leaves Stamp Set in Versamark ink on Basic Black cardstock, sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder, and heat set it.

I adhered it down using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Thanks for checking out my project today.
Be sure to check out the Plaid Tidings Designer Series Paper for all your stamping needs!
