Stampin’ Up! Swirly Frames Card

This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is a color challenge.  Happy hopping!

I have had the concept for today’s card in my head since I bought the Swirly Frames Stamp Set back in June.  I was so happy to finally put it together.

My card starts off with Night of Navy cardstock.  I then rubbed it with the Embossing Buddy to get all the static off.  I stamped the large and small circle from the Swirly Frames Stamp Set multiple times in Versamark ink.  I sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder and heat set it.

I then stamped the daisy from the Daisy Delight Stamp Set in Balmy Blue ink and the center in Night of Navy ink.  I cut them out using the Daisy Punch.

Next I stamped the sentiment from the Another Wonderful Year Stamp Set in Night of Navy ink and matted it on Balmy Blue cardstock, adhering it down with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Enjoy!

Today’s card uses one of the new items available for FREE during Sale-A-Bration…
The Painted Seasons Designer Series Paper.

This paper is part of a bundle (stamp set & DSP) that you receive for free with any $100 order through the end of March.
And let me tell you – this paper is ahhhhmazing!

My card starts off with Call Me Clover cardstock.  I then matted a pattern from the Painted Seasons Designer Series Paper on Petal Pink cardstock.

Next I adhered down another pattern from the Painted Seasons DSP.  I then added a few leaves using the Wonderful Floral Thinlits cut out from Call Me Clover and Petal Pink cardstock.

I wrapped around some Whisper White Baker’s Twine in a bow.

Lastly I stamped the sentiment from the Another Wonderful Year Stamp Set in Versamark ink on Poppy Parade cardstock, sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder, and heat set it.  I cut it out using the new Story Label Punch (available March 1st) and adhered it down using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Stampin’ Up! Painted Harvest & Another Wonderful Year Card

This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is a color challenge.  Happy hopping!

This color combination made me think of fall, so I pulled out a beloved stamp set that I haven’t used in a while – Painted Harvest – and paired it with a stamp set full of really great sentiments – Another Wonderful Year.

My card starts off with Early Espresso cardstock.  I then matted a pattern from the Country Lane Designer Series Paper on Whisper White cardstock and adhered it to the right upper corner.

Next I cut a panel of Whisper White cardstock on a diagonal and stamped the stitched edge from the Swirly Frames Stamp Set in Early Espresso around it.

I used Crushed Curry, Mint Macaron, and Early Espresso ink and the Painted Harvest stamp set to create my sunflower.  I used the masking technique to get the leaves to be behind the flower.

Lastly, I stamped the sentiment from the Another Wonderful Year stamp set in Early Espresso ink on Mint Macaron cardstock.

Enjoy!
