Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Friendship Smile Card

Happy Tuesday everyone!

For today I made a (fairly) monochromatic card using Flirty Flamingo.  A great way to get different shades of the same color is to “stamp off.”  When you “stamp off,” you just literally…stamp off.

You ink up your stamp and then first stamp on a scrap piece of paper and then stamp on your desired space.  You can even stamp off a few times to get a very light shade of color.

My card today starts off with Flirty Flamingo cardstock.  I then took a panel of Whisper White cardstock and stamped the flowers in Flirty Flamingo ink and leaves in Pear Pizzazz ink from the Beautiful Friendship Stamp Set.

As mentioned above, I stamped off first to get the lighter shade of Flirty Flamingo.

I then embossed the cardstock using the Subtle Embossing Folder and matted it on Whisper White cardstock.

I then stamped the “make me smile” from the Well Said Stamp Set in Versamark ink on Flirty Flamingo cardstock.  I sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder and heat set it.

I then used the Well Written Dies and cut out three “you” words.  I adhered them over one another and added a single rhinestone next to the sentiment.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Friendship Congratulations Card

Yesterday we had a great color challenge for our Thursday blog hop.

I actually ended up making two cards with the colors, and liked them both.  You can see yesterday’s card here.

My card today starts off with Blackberry Bliss cardstock.

I used the Stitched So Sweetly Dies to cut out one rectangle from Whisper White cardstock and one from Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper.  I embossed the DSP using the Subtle Embossing Folder.

On the Whisper White panel, I used the Beautiful Friendship and stamped the flowers in Poppy Parade and Blackberry Bliss ink and the leaves in Old Olive ink.  I stamped the sentiment from the Thoughtful Blooms Stamp Set in Blackberry Bliss ink.

Lastly, I wrapped around a Poppy Parade bow.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Friendship Congrats Card

This week is Christmas.  I’ll be posting as normal (except for Wednesday).

I hope you have a great week ahead!  My kids are now home and it’s my favorite vacation of the year.

It’s freezing here which forces us to stay inside and relax.  Kids will play with new Christmas gifts.  There’ll be many PJ days and lots of board game playing and stamping for me.  It’s a super relaxed week and to tell you the truth – I’m more giddy about the week ahead than actual Christmas day (which can be a bit chaotic).

Christmas cards are done so I’m back to making regular every day cards (which are much needed as my stash is depleted.

My card today starts off with Pear Pizzazz cardstock.

I then took a panel of Whisper White cardstock and stamped the flowers from the Beautiful Friendship Stamp Set in So Saffron ink and the leaves in Pear Pizzazz ink in the corners.  I then tucked a Soft Sea Foam pattern from the Subtles Designer Series Paper pack behind it.

I then stamped the sentiment from the Beautiful Friendship in Pear Pizzazz ink on Soft Sea Foam cardstock and snipped the end in a banner.

I wound some Whisper White Baker’s Twine underneath and added a few pearls around it.

Enjoy!

Today’s card was inspired by this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

Stampin’ Up! Celebrate Blog Hop

This month’s Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop theme is “Celebrate.”  Have fun hopping around to see how everyone interpreted “celebrate” this month.

I decided to make congratulations cards celebrating a new baby.

Yesterday I shared how much I love the Parisian Blossoms Suite in the 2020 Jan-June Mini Catalog.  Consider today’s card Part 2 to yesterday’s as I’m using the Parisian Flourish, Petal Pink Metallic-Edge Ribbon, and Champagne Rhinestones from the same suite.

My card starts off with Thick Whisper White cardstock.  I then took a panel of Petal Pink cardstock and embossed it using the Petal Flourish Embossing Folder.  I cut off 1″ from the bottom, and then another 1″ off.  I threw away the second cut and adhered the top and bottom using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

In the negative space I stamped the sentiment from the Beautiful Friendship Stamp Set in Petal Pink ink.   I wrapped around some Petal Pink ribbon and added a few Champagne Rhinestones.

I figured while I had everything out, I should go ahead and make another card for a new baby boy.  I used all the same product except used Pool Party, Whisper White Baker’s Twine, and regular Rhinestones.

Here they are together…

Stampin’ Up! Birthday Card Beautiful Friendship

Every week for the month of October I’ve been giving my team a sketch and color challenge.  They can use them individually or in the same project.

I took a break from Christmas cards today and used the challenges to make a birthday card.

My card starts off with Terracotta Tile cardstock, on which I adhered a Terracotta Tile pattern from the 2019-2021 In-Color Designer Series Paper.

I next took a panel of Whisper White cardstock and stamped the flowers from the Beautiful Friendship Stamp Set in Terracotta Tile ink and leaves in Mint Macaron.  I then matted this on Mint Macaron cardstock.

Lastly I stamped the sentiment in parts so that it would fit on a long banner in Versamark ink, sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder, and heat set it.  In order to stamp the sentiment in parts, I covered the part I wasn’t stamping with washi tape, inked up the stamp, removed the tape, and stamped it down.  I did this until I had the full sentiment.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Friendship Just A Note Card

My kids thought it would be fun to pick out colors for me to make a card with.  First up was my oldest daughter’s choice and you can see the card I made with her colors here.

Today are the colors my 9-year-old daughter picked.

These were quite a challenge as I usually gravitate to the Regal colors in the fall and winter.

But here’s what I came up with…

My card starts with Thick Whisper White cardstock.  I took a Pretty Peacock pattern from the 2019-2021 In Color Designer Series Paper.  I trimmed down pieces of Pretty Peacock Scalloped Linen Ribbon to adhere on either side of it.

I cut out a Whisper White panel using the Rectangle Stitched Dies.  I stamped the flowers from the Beautiful Friendship Stamp Set in Cherry Cobbler, Pretty Peacock, and Blackberry Bliss ink around it and then matted it on Blackberry Bliss cardstock.

I cut out a Blackberry Bliss panel using the same Rectangle Stitched Dies.  I stamped the sentiment from the Flourishing Phrases Stamp set on it in Versamark ink, sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder, and heat set it.

I wound behind it some Silver Thread and adhered it down using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Enjoy!

Today’s card was inspired by this week’s Sunday Stamp Challenge.
