Stampin’ Up! Party Puffins Birthday Card

You know when you tell yourself you don’t NEED that stamp set…
and then you see everyone making the most adorable cards with it and suddenly you NEED it immediately?!

Am I the only one?
That’s what happened with the Party Puffins Stamp Set and I am so glad I got it!!

Stampin’ Up! Party Puffins Birthday Card

My card starts off with Bermuda Bay cardstock which I covered with a pattern from the Snail Mail Designer Series Paper.

**The Snail Mail Designer Series Paper is retiring and only available right now while supplies last! So don’t wait!!

Stampin’ Up! Party Puffins Birthday Card

I then took a panel of Basic White cardstock and used the Stamparatus to stamp the puffin in Memento Black ink.

I used the Stamparatus because I wanted a really dark, crisp stamped image and would highly recommend using it if you’re stamping with the Party Puffins Stamp.

Stampin’ Up! Party Puffins Birthday Card

On a separate piece of Basic Black, I stamped three fish, the puffin with the party hat, and the sentiment. I colored everything in using the Bermuda Bay, Pumpkin Pie, and Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends Markers,

I fussy cut the fish out and the party hat off and adhered them down. I then added a few rhinestones around the fish.

Stampin’ Up! Masculine Biggest Wish Birthday Card

For this week’s color challenge, I’m using the Biggest Wish Stamp Set to make a birthday card!

This stamp set has quickly become a favorite because of its big, chunky words that can really fill a card with lots of color!

This card will actually be my son’s birthday card. His birthday is Sunday and I always enjoy designing a card specifically for each of my kids.

Stampin’ Up! Biggest Wish Birthday Card

My card starts off with Basic Gray cardstock which I covered with a pattern from the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper.

Stampin’ Up! Oh Snap Birthday Card

All this week I’ve been sharing cards using the 2021-2023 In Colors. Today, I’m sharing a card that uses Pale Papaya.

This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is a theme challenge, “Things with Wings.” I decided to use a not to obvious option – the Oh Snap Stamp Set. Have fun hopping through the blogs!

My card starts off with Thick Basic White cardstock.

I then adhered a pattern from the True Love Designer Series Paper to the left of the card.

Using the Stitched So Sweetly, I cut out a panel from Pale Papaya cardstock and another panel from the NEW Ombre Specialty Paper. It’s actually not that long, but I snipped it in half and adhered it so it looks like it’s a long panel.

I then stamped the crocodile, bird, and fish in Memento Black ink. I colored them in using Granny Apple Green (croc), a tad of Daffodil Delight (bird), and Pale Papaya (fish) Stampin’ Blends Markers. I fussy cut them out and adhered them down using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Stampin Up Oh Snap Birthday Card

Lastly, I stamped part of a sentiment from the Oh Snap Stamp Set in Memento Black ink and snipped the end in a banner.

Stampin’ Up! A Cut Above Birthday Card & Video

My grandfather…he was a very special man, and if anyone ever asked where his house was, you’d just say on Sand Creek Road, the one with the immaculate lawn.

When I say immaculate, I mean it – he never mowed in the same direction twice in a row, the lines were perfect – it was ALL about the lines – and he hand dug up (the few and far between) dandelions.

It was greener than green, felt like a carpet, and he took great pride in it.

Ironically enough, my Dad is now the same way – the man lives for his lawn! Today’s card is dedicated to the two lawn-loving men in my life!

Stampin Up A Cut Above Father's Day Masculine Birthday Card

My card starts off with Crumb Cake cardstock, which I covered with a Crumb Cake pattern from the Neutrals Designer Series Paper. I took a small piece of Denim Ribbon and stapled it into the corner before adhering it down.

Stampin Up A Cut Above Father's Day Masculine Birthday Card

I then took a panel of Basic White cardstock and cut it using the Stitched Rectangles Dies. I stamped the images from the A Cut Above Stamp Set on it in Memento Black ink.

Stampin Up A Cut Above Father's Day Masculine Birthday Card

I colored it in using Night of Navy (pants), Balmy Blue (shirt, clouds), Crumb Cake (hat, shoes), Poppy Parade (mower), Smoky Slate (mower), Granny Apple Green (grass), Ivory (skin), Bronze (hair), and Daffodil Delight (sun) Stampin’ Blends Markers. I then matted it on a panel of Night of Navy cardstock and offset a panel of Poppy Parade cardstock underneath.

Stampin Up A Cut Above Father's Day Masculine Birthday Card

Next I stamped the sentiment in Night of Navy ink and cut it out using another Stitched Rectangles Dies., adhering it down using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Stampin’ Up! Butterfly Brilliance Birthday Card

I have been having so much fun playing with the Butterfly Brilliance Bundle – it’s brilliant…see what I did there 😉

I had the opportunity share how to make today’s card at our (bigger) team meeting on Sunday.

My card starts off with Terracotta Tile cardstock. I then took a pattern from the True Love Designer Series Paper and matted it on Basic White cardstock to adhere to the card front.

Next, I took a pattern from the Butterfly Bijou Designer Series Paper and cut out a butterfly from it using the largest detailed butterfly die from the Brilliant Wings Dies. I then matted this on Basic White cardstock.

**Please note that the Butterfly Bijou Designer Series Paper was available for a limited time only and sold out just this week. You could supplement it with a pattern from the Ice Cream Corner DSP, a Terracotta Tile pattern from the 2019-2021 DSP, or use a panel of So Saffron cardstock.

Using the same die, I cut out a detailed butterfly from Basic Black cardstock and adhered just the body down in the negative space.

Lastly, I stamped the sentiment from the Itty Bitty Birthdays in Versamark ink on Basic Black cardstock, sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder, and heat set it. I cut it out using the Tasteful Labels Dies, adhering it down using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Stampin' Up! Butterfly Brilliance Birthday Card

For the inside, I stamped the butterfly in So Saffron ink.

Stampin’ Up! Sweet Ice Cream Birthday Card

This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is a color challenge. Happy hopping!

I decided to make a really simple, but sweet birthday card using the colors.

My card starts off with Misty Moonlight cardstock. I then took one of the patterns from the Hydrangea Hill Designer Series Paper and trimmed it down on an angle. I used the Stitched Be Mine Dies to cut out a Misty Moonlight scalloped edge to go just above the DSP.

I adhered this over a panel of Basic White cardstock and stamped the sentiment from the Sweet Ice Cream Stamp Set in Misty Moonlight ink. I then matted this on another panel of Basic White cardstock. In the corner I added two Misty Moonlight enamel dots.

I created the popsicles using the Sweet Ice Cream Stamp. I stamped the one using Old Olive (popsicle stick), Highland Heather, and Rococo Rose ink and then other using Old Olive, Misty Moonlight, and Seaside Spray ink. I fussy cut them out and adhered them next to the sentiment.

Stampin’ Up! Hippo Happiness Birthday Card

Hello from Peru!!

For those wondering, we arrived safe and well to Peru where we’re enjoying time with family and warmer days!

I still plan on sharing with you lots of projects with you while I’m away and business as usual, so if you have any questions, need anything, or if I can be of any help, please don’t hesitate.

Today’s card starts off with Magenta Madness cardstock, which I layered with a Magenta Madness pattern from the 2020-2022 In Color Designer Series Paper.

I next created the cutest hippo from the Hippo Happiness Stamp Set using Smoky Slate ink (stamping off for the ligher shade). I stamped the eyes, nose, and mouth in Memento Black ink and the bow and balloon in Magenta Madness ink. I cut everything out using the Hippo & Friends Dies.

I used the Hippo & Friends Dies to cut out two layering pieces, one from Whisper White cardstock and the larger from Coastal Cabana cardstock. On the Whisper White layer, I stamped the sentiment from the Hippo Happiness Stamp Set in Magenta Madness ink and the balloon string in Memento Black ink.

The Hippo & Friends Dies come with this really cool die that cuts out a piece so you can weave through ribbon. I used it with the Coastal Cabana layer.

Next I matted a panel of Whisper White cardstock on Whisper White cardstock. I wound some Coastal Cabana ribbon around it (and through the Coastal Cabana layer) and secured it with white twine. To get this white twine, I separated the black and white twine from the Playful Pets Trim.

Thanks for checking out my project today!
