Stampin’ Up! Mountain Air Happy Birthday Card

This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is a color challenge.  Happy hopping!

My card today starts off with Night of Navy cardstock.  At the bottom of it I stamped the stand alone trees from the Mountain Air Stamp Set in Night of Navy ink.

I then took a panel of Night of Navy cardstock and first stamped the reverse side of the mountains in Night of Navy ink.  I stamped the mountains in Night of Navy and trees in Garden Green ink on Whisper White cardstock and cut them out using the coordinating Majestic Mountain Dies.

I matted this on Whisper White cardstock and adhered it down using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Lastly I stamped the sentiment from the Itty Bitty Birthdays Stamp Set in Garden Green ink and adhered it down using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Ride with Me Birthday Card HSS#337

Today’s card is one of the most versatile cards I’ve ever made.

Yes, it’s a birthday card, but it can work for just about anyone – Kids, adults, women, men, and for all ages.

It’s part of our new challenge over at Hand Stamped Sentiments.  Be sure to play along!

My card starts off with Poppy Parade cardstock.  I then took a panel of Whisper White cardstock and cut strips of Poppy Parade, Daffodil Delight, Balmy Blue, Granny Apple Green, and Pumpkin Pie cardstock and adhered them over it.  The strips are 3-3/4″x 3/4″.

I then stamped the truck, balloons, and sentiment from the Ride with Me Stamp Set in Memento Black ink on Whisper White cardstock.  I colored it in using Poppy Parade, Daffodil Delight, Balmy Blue, Granny Apple Green, Pumpkin Pie, Ivory (window), and Smoky Slate (wheels) Stampin’ Blends Markers.

I cut it out using the Stitched Rectangles Dies.  Underneath I tied a Poppy Parade knot and then adhered the truck over it using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Witty-Cisms Taco Birthday Card

My youngest daughter just turned 10 this past week.

With my kids’ birthdays, I always decorate the house (in whatever their favorite colors are at the time) and I also make their birthday card to coordinate with it.

My youngest’s favorite colors right now are black and red and she is obsessed with tacos!  So I knew the Witty-Cisms Stamp Set would be perfect for her card.

But I also knew I wanted to stamp the taco a bunch of times and in order to make it easier and quicker (as opposed to using the washi tape technique) I decided to cut up the solid stamp into three pieces.

My card starts off with Thick Whisper White cardstock.

Next I took a panel of Real Red cardstock and stamped the taco all over the front of it in Real Red ink.  I then matted this on Basic Black cardstock.

I stamped the taco three times in Memento Black ink on Whisper White cardstock and colored it in using Mango Melody, Light Soft Suede, and Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends Markers.

I used the Layering Circle Dies to cut out Basic Black scalloped circles and to cut out the tacos.

Lastly, I stamped the sentiments from the Witty-Cisms Stamp Set in Memento Black ink.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Sale-A-Bration Sneak Peek – Happy Birthday to You Card

This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is a sketch challenge.  Happy hopping!!

My card today starts off with Thick Whisper White cardstock.  I then stamped the sentiment from the Happy Birthday To You Stamp Set in Flirty Flamingo ink.

Next I took a Soft Sea Foam pattern from the Subtles Designer Series Paper and matted it on Whisper White cardstock.

I stamped the cake from the Happy Birthday To You Stamp Set in Memento Black ink on Whisper White cardstock.  I used Petal Pink (cake), Flirty Flamingo (flowers), Soft Sea Foam (leaves), and Crumb Cake (stand) Stampin’ Blends Markers to color it in.  I fussy cut it out and adhered it down Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I used the Christmas Cardinal Dies to cut out two “flourishes” from Silver Foil and adhered them behind the cake.  Lastly I added a few rhinestones around the cake as well.

Enjoy!
