Stampin’ Up! Friends are Like Seashells Card

Yesterday I shared one challenge I had for my team this month.

Today, I’m sharing another sketch and color challenge I gave my team this month.

My card starts off with Night of Navy cardstock. I took another panel of Night of Navy cardstock and stamped the various images from the Friends are like Seashells Stamp on it in Night of Navy ink.

Next I used the Stitched Rectangles Dies and cut out two rectangles, one from Crumb Cake cardstock and the other from Basic White cardstock.

I used a Blending Brush to add Crumb Cake ink around the edges of the Basic White cardstock and then stamped the sentiment in Night of Navy ink.

Stampin Up Friends are Like Seashells Card

I stamped the seashells in Coastal Cabana ink and Crumb Cake ink.

Stampin Up Friends are Like Seashells Card

I used a Blender Pen to pull out the color into the seashells. You’ll want to do this lightly and not go over the same area more than once as it will tear the paper.

I cut the seashells out and adhered them down using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Stampin’ Up! Simply Succulents Card

This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is a sketch challenge. Happy hopping!!

My card starts off with Pool Party cardstock, which I embossed using the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder.

I guess I must really like this embossing folder as I’ve used it in 3 out of the 4 cards this week. What can I say – if it ain’t broke, no need to fix it. 😉

Next I took a panel of Soft Sea Foam cardstock and matted it on Basic White cardstock. I used a Soft Succulent pattern from the Pansy Petals Designer Series Paper that I adhered over the Soft Sea Foam cardstock.

Next I created my pot of succulents using the Simple Succulents Bundle. I stamped the pot using the Gray Granite Stampin’ Blends Markers and the succulent using the (new and available May 4th) Soft Succulent and Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends Markers.

Stampin Up Simply Succulents Card

I cut out an aloe plant from Soft Succulent cardstock and a the other elements from Pool Party cardstock. The single succulent I stamped in Soft Succulent ink on Basic White cardstock. I cut them out using the Potted Succulents Dies, adhering them down using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Next I wound around a piece of Soft Succulent ribbon to go under the sentiment. The sentiment from the Simply Succulents Stamp Set I stamped in Soft Succulent ink. I cut it out along with the succulent details using the Potted Succulents Dies.

Thanks for checking out my project today!!! Be sure to head over to the store May 4th to get all this great new product!!

Stampin’ Up! Hydrangea Haven Mother’s Day Card

This week we’re talking about showing gratitude and for today I have a Mother’s Day card using the Hydrangea Haven Bundle.

The card may not come straight out and say thank you, but I think you’d agree that Mother’s Day is like 24 hours dedicated to saying thank you to mom.

Now, let’s be clear, I say mom, but it can be a mother figure, step-mom, grandma, or a friend who happens to be a mom.

Let’s take some time today to think about what mom in your life could use a thank you – you know, that mom who gives and gives and deserves some acknowledgment and gratitude for all they do!

Stampin Up hydrangea haven

Now on to the card details…

My card starts off with Highland Heather cardstock, on which I adhered two patterns from the Hydrangea Hill Designer Series Paper. I covered the seam with a piece of Gorgeous Grape ribbon.

Stampin Up hydrangea haven

Next, I took a panel of Basic White cardstock and stamped the “splotch” from the Hydrangea Haven Stamp Set (from the top down) in Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather, Pear Pizzazz, and Old Olive ink. Over that I stamped the hydrangea image in Versamark ink, sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder, and heat set it.

Stampin Up hydrangea haven

I stamped the sentiment from the Hydrangea Haven Stamp Set in Gorgeous Grape ink and matted it, as well as the other Basic White panel, on Gorgeous Grape cardstock.

I then added a couple of Pastel Pearls and a Rhinestone around the sentiment and added a Gorgeous Grape bow.

*Tip: I always tie the bow separate and just adhere it over. Firstly because I always do a fork bow and secondly because it’s just easier!

Stampin’ Up! Epic Celebrations

Happy Friday!!

Today’s card took me a bit out of my comfort zone.  I normally would never put these colors together, but I think they’re great for a boy’s card or a teenager’s card.

The Epic Celebrations stamp set from the Sale-a-bration catalog is one of a kind and there’s nothing like it in any of the current catalogs.  It’s a must for young kids!  I can’t wait to scrapbook my son’s pictures with it!

I featured today’s card on my Wednesday Facebook Live Tutorial that I do weekly at 7:30 pm EST.  If you ever miss it live, I post all my videos on YouTube.

Check out this past week’s video to see how I made this card.

Enjoy!
