I find creating a complex, layered, pulled together card sometimes just as challenging as creating the most simple one. Today I’m playing along with the CAS(E) this Sketch challenge.
I created two cards using the sketch, both using the Foxy Friends Stamp Set and Thoughtful Banners Stamp Set.
My family and I have a soft spot for kitties. We’ve had many over the years and currently have 2 tabby cats and just got a new orange 3 month old kitty. They were my inspiration for these cards.
My cards use Thick Whisper White cardstock as their base and then I layered another Whisper White on top using dimensionals.
I created this card using Smoky Slate ink for the kitty and Archival Black for the whiskers and paws. I then used Melon Mambo for the sentiment and Thick Melon Mambo Baker’s Twine for the roll of string. (I must say that the details on both cards were inspired from cards I have seen elsewhere and are not original ideas.)
I created the second card using the same base, but this time stamped the kitty in Peekaboo Peach.
This time the sentiment was stamped in Real Red and I used the Everyday Jars Framelits to cut out a heart for kitty to hold.

Next I stamped the sentiment from the Flourishing Phrases Stamp Set in Smoky Slate on a 1″ strip of Whisper White and used the Triple Banner Punch to cut the one end.
To get the color, I used Daubbers and dabbed the flower part in Melon Mambo and leaf/stem part in Pear Pizzazz. I also cut out a strip of the “lattice” in Whisper White.
