Stampin’ Up! Christmas Card Using My Favorite DSP!

Well, I did it.  It took since the beginning of September, but I finally did it.

I cut up my favorite piece of Designer Series Paper from the whole 2019 Holiday Catalog for today’s card.

My card today starts off with Night of Navy cardstock.  I then cut a pattern…my favorite pattern… from the Night Before Christmas Designer Series Paper and matted it on Very Vanilla cardstock.

Next I used the Merry Christmas Dies and cut out three “merry”s from Very Vanilla cardstock, gluing them over one another.

Lastly I stamped the “Christmas” using a sentiment from the Itty Bitty Christmas Stamp Set, using the masking technique to only stamp the “Christmas.”  I fussy cut this out and adhered it down using Mini Dimensionals.

Enjoy!

Today’s card was inspired by this week’s Fab Friday Challenge.

Lastly, I stamped the sentiment from the Toile Christmas Stamp Set in Versamark ink, sprinkled it with Copper Embossing Powder, and heat set it.  I cut it out with the coordinating Christmas Cardinal Dies and adhered it down with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Boughs Card

This week of Thanksgiving always brings a time of reflection of all that I am thankful for and blessed with.

I am thankful for Stampin’ Up! and for the new friends it has brought me and the opportunity to take time for myself to make pretty things.  It is so much more than just stamps and paper.

My card today starts off with Crumb Cake cardstock which I embossed using the Subtle Embossing Folder.

I took a panel of Whisper White cardstock and stamped the different boughs from the Peaceful Boughs Stamp Set in Shaded Spruce ink.  “Hanging” from them I stamped some pine cones in Soft Suede ink.  I then took a Blender Pen and pulled color from the stamped image to color them in.

I took a sponge and sort of “scraped” the edge with Soft Suede ink and matted it on Shaded Spruce cardstock.

At the top I wound around a Linen Thread bow.  I stamped the sentiment from the Itty Bitty Christmas Stamp Set in Versamark ink on Cherry Cobbler cardstock, sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder, and heat set it.  I adhered it down using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Monochromatic Still Scenes Christmas Card

This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is a sketch challenge.  Happy hopping!

I really love monochromatic cards and even more so simple, white and gold cards.  When I saw the sketch I immediately thought – Still Scenes Bundle.

But I was inspired by this card and how the inside sort of pops through the front.

My card starts off with Thick Whisper White cardstock.  I then took the “circle like” die from the Snow Globe Scenes Dies and cut out a window from the top.  I used the same dies and cut out the church, the other building and the church from Whisper White cardstock.

I cut out Gold foil pieces to go behind the buildings.  I used the Shimmery Crystal Effects on the trees and sprinkled it with Ice Stampin’ Glitter.  I adhered them down over one another on the inside of the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I used the same die that cut out the hole to cut out a hole from Gold Foil.  Then I used the Layering Circles Dies to cut out around the cut out to make a frame.  I also used the same dies to cut out two sets of the snow globe base.

Lastly I stamped the sentiment from the Dashing Deer Stamp Set in Versamark ink, sprinkled it with Gold Embossing Powder, and heat set it.

Enjoy!

PRODUCT LIST:

Stampin’ Up! Merry Moose Birthday Card

Today I’m sharing a card I made at my October stamp class.

It uses the Merry Moose Stamp Set and the masking technique to take a Christmas card and make it a birthday card.

My card starts off with Crumb Cake cardstock.  Next I took a panel of Mossy Meadow cardstock, embossed it using the Pinewood Plans Embossing Folder, and matted it on Soft Suede cardstock.

I cut out a Whisper White circle using the Stitched Shapes Dies.  I stamped the tree on it in Mossy Meadow ink (stamping off first).  I covered the “Christmas” on the sentiment stamp from the Merry Moose Stamp Set with washi tape.  I inked it up with Cherry Cobbler ink, removed the washi tape, and stamped it on the circle.

I cut out the “birthday” from the Well Written Dies from Cherry Cobbler cardstock.

Next I stamped the outline of the moose in Soft Suede ink and the inside image in Crumb Cake ink.  I cut it out using the Moose Punch.  I stamped the scarf in Cherry Cobbler ink and fussy cut it out.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Super Simple Snowman Season Card

This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop challenge is a sketch challenge.

When I saw today’s sketch, I wanted to keep my card super simple using the Snowman Season Stamp.

My card starts off with Thick Whisper White cardstock.  On it stamped the snowman from the Snowman Season Stamp Set in Memento Black ink.  I colored it in using Poppy Parade and Pool Party Stampin’ Blends Markers.

I stamped the sentiment from the Snowman Season Stamp Set in Versamark ink on Poppy Parade cardstock, sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder, and heat set it.

Underneath the sentiment I added a Pool Party banner and stamped a few snowflakes around it in Pool Party ink.

That’s it – super, super simple.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Classic Christmas Gleaming Card

Today, being Wednesday, I would normally be reminding you that I have my Facebook Live tutorial tonight.

However, please note that it is cancelled.  I am on my way out to a scrapbook retreat and all my fun stamping goodies are all packed and ready to go.  I’ll be back next week!

If you’d like to follow along, please “like” my Facebook page as I’m hoping to post pictures of my scrapbook layouts and my time away.

My card today starts off with Cherry Cobbler cardstock which I embossed using the Subtle Embossing Folder.  This embossing folder is sometimes hard to “see” but I love how well it shows up in this dark, rich color cardstock.

I next took a panel of Whisper White and stamped the bough from the Peaceful Boughs Stamp Set in on it Mossy Meadow ink.  I then matted this on Basic Black cardstock.

I stamped the two ornaments from the Christmas Gleaming Stamp Set in Memento Black ink and colored them in using Cherry Cobbler and Real Red Stampin’ Blends Markers.   I also stamped the sentiment in Cherry Cobbler ink.

Lastly I added a Basic Black bow.  What I love is although this ribbon is grouped with the Halloween suite, it has soft edges and can definitely be used for other occasions.

Enjoy!
