Stampin’ Up! Carols of Christmas Bundle

This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is a sketch challenge.

My card today starts with Old Olive cardstock.  I took a panel of Basic Black cardstock and used the Card Front Builder thinlits to die cut either end of it.  I matted it on Whisper White cardstock and adhered it to the card.

I then cut out a panel from one of the patterns from the Merry Little Christmas DSP just big enough to cover the vertical lines that were cut out from the Basic Black cardstock.  I took a panel of Whisper White cardstock and stamped the sentiment from the Carols of Christmas stamp set in Archival Black ink and then cut it out using the Layering Ovals Framelits.

I then stamped the poinsettias from the Carols of Christmas stamp set in Real Red ink and the leaves in Old Olive ink on Whisper White cardstock and cut them out using the Card Front Builder thinlits.  I adhered the poinsettias using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Christmas Pines

Today’s card was inspired by this week’s TGIF challenge!

My card today is a simple CAS (clean and simple) one that uses my favorite stamp set from last year’s Holiday Catalog – Christmas Pines.

What I love about this card is that it’s quick and doesn’t use the Big Shot.  So if you haven’t taken the plunge yet to buy one, no big deal!

My card starts off with a panel of Whisper White cardstock.  I used the Christmas Pines stamp set and stamped the pines in Garden Green ink and the sentiment in Cherry Cobbler ink.

I matted the Whisper White cardstock on Silver cardstock and added a few rhinestones over the pines.  I cut a Silver Doily in half and adhered each half behind the Silver cardstock.

I matted a pattern from the Be Merry DSP on Whisper White cardstock and adhered everything to a Garden Green card.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Night in Bethlehem Sneak Peek

This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is a sketch challenge.  Happy hopping!

I am so excited about today’s card.  It was a labor of love using the NEW Night of Bethlehem Bundle (available September 1st).

My card starts off with a panel of Night of Navy cardstock.  I used a sponger and Craft Ink and dabbed the ink in the middle of the card.  I did this a bunch of times as the paper really absorbs the ink.  I then matted this on Silver cardstock and wound some Silver Thread around the side of it before adhering it to the Basic Black card front.

Next I used the coordinating Bethlehem Edgelits to cut out a scene in Silver cardstock and Basic Black cardstock. I trimmed them down and adhered them to the card.

Lastly I stamped the sentiment in Versamark ink, sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder, and heat embossed it.

Stampin’ Up! Painted Harvest Wreath

Today’s card is a combination of both carrying over product from last year’s Holiday Catalog and brand new product from the 2017 Holiday Catalog.

My card starts off with Garden Green cardstock.  I took a pattern from the Wood Textures DSP and matted it on Tranquil Tide cardstock and adhered them to the card.

Next I used the NEW Painted Autumn Bundle (stamp set & punch) to create my wreath. I stamped the leaf a bunch of times in Garden Green ink, as well as Tranquil Tide ink.  I then adhered them in a circle to create a wreath.

I used the Hang Your Stocking stamp set and coordinating Christmas Stocking thinlits to stamp and cut out a bunch of red hollies to place around the wreath.  I then stamped the sentiment in Cherry Cobbler ink from the Hang Your Stocking stamp set and matted it on Cherry Cobbler cardstock.

Enjoy!

My card today was inspired by the challenge this week at Stamp, Ink, Paper.

Stampin’ Up! Smitten Mittens

Today’s card was inspired by the challenge at Freshly Made Sketches this week.

My card today features the NEW Smitten Mittens Bundle from the 2017 Holiday Catalog (available September 1st).

My card starts off with Night of Navy cardstock.  I first used one of the embossing framelits (meant to create a pattern on a cut out mitten) to create a pattern along the bottom of my card.  I also stamped the snowflake from Smitten Mittens stamp set in Versamark ink, sprinkled it with white embossing powder, and heat embossed them.

I used the matching Many Mittens Framelits to cut out the one mitten from Soft Sky cardstock.  I chose to leave the different cutout pieces in it when I adhered it to the card.

Next I stamped the mitten with the sentiment on it in Soft Sky ink on Whisper White cardstock.  I adhered it using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Enjoy!

SNEAK PEEK Night in Bethlehem Card

For today’s card I decided to CASE (copy and selectively edit) another designer’s card from the Global Design Project challenge this week.  I chose Jessica Williams the other day.

This time I chose Shawn de Oliveira.  I was so inspired by her card, but decided to flip what part got heat embossed and what part got dry embossed.

My card starts off with Sahara Sand cardstock.  I took the pine bough from the NEW Christmas Happiness stamp set and stamped it in Versamark ink, sprinkled it with silver embossing powder, and heat embossed it.  I did this twice, both at the top and bottom of the card.

I then took a panel of Fresh Fig cardstock and dry embossed it using the new and gorgeous Winter Wonder TIEF.  I matted this on a piece of Silver Foil Sheet and adhered it to the card front.

I stamped the sentiment from the Night in Bethlehem stamp set in Fresh Fig ink on Whisper White cardstock.  I cut it out and mounted it on a scalloped oval of Silver Foil Sheet using the Layering Oval Framelits.  I folded over a piece Silver Metallic Edge Ribbon underneath it and also added a banner of Fresh Fig cardstock.

Enjoy!

SNEAK PEEK Christmas Happiness Card

Today’s card was inspired by this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

My card today starts off with Thick Whisper White cardstock.  I used the NEW Christmas Happiness stamp set and stamped the needles in Old Olive ink (stamping straight on, as well as stamping off).

I took a pattern from the NEW Merry Little Christmas designer series paper and matted it on a panel of Early Espresso cardstock and adhered it to the card.  Using the Christmas Happiness stamp set, I stamped the outline of the two bigger pinecones in Early Espresso ink and stamped one solid pinecone image in Soft Suede ink and the other in Crumb Cake ink.

I stamped the sentiment in Early Espresso ink on Whisper White cardstock and stamped the background pinecone in Crumb Cake ink (stamping off twice first).  I fussy cut the pinecones out and adhered them to the card front.  I folded around some Old Olive Ribbon and tied a Linen Thread bow around it to hold it together.

Enjoy!

I took a panel of Garden Green cardstock and embossed it using the Holly embossing folder and then matted it on Whisper White cardstock.

Thank You Note Card

I sure hope you had a great Christmas!!  I had a great Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with my family and loved ones!

Well before Stampin Up for me I always had my kids write Thank You cards to family members for their Christmas gifts.  I remember even before they knew their alphabet I would trace their hands on the cards or then another year I had them say what they wanted to write and I would write it for them.  Saying thank you to someone for taking the time to think of you and maybe even get you a gift in my book is a must and the younger the better!!

Of course this year I wanted to incorporate Stampin Up product and their note cards are PERFECT for thank you cards.  They come in either Crumb Cake or Whisper White with matching envelopes and the note card measures 5″ x 3.5″.

For my card today I used the Crumb Cake note card.  I used the NEW Sale-a-bration So Very Much Stamp Set (available January 4th and free with $50 purchase) which I stamped in Cherry Cobbler for my sentiment (although the little line with the star is from the Stitched with Cheer set).

thank-you-note-stamp-it-up-with-jaimie

I then used the Stitched with Cheer Stamp Set to create the designs all around the thank you.  I stamped the outer lines full strength in Cherry Cobbler or Garden Green and then the inside shading after stamping off for a lighter shade.

Enjoy!

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas!!!

I hope today brings you lots of joy and laughter with your loved ones.  If Christmas this year is a hard one for you – my thoughts and prayers are with you!

My card today uses up some of the scraps I have from the Warmth & Cheer DSP (my favorite Designer Series Paper from the Holiday Catalog).

warmth-cheer-stamp-it-up-with-jaimie-stampin-upThe first card uses Cherry Cobbler as its base which I layered with some Basic Black cardstock.  I then took patterns from the Warmth & Cheer DSP, cut them in different sizes, and layered it over the Basic Black.

warmth-cheer-stampinup-stamp-it-up-with-jaimie

I stamped the sentiment in Cherry Cobbler from the Stitched with Cheer Stamp Set and cut it out using the Stitched Framelits.  I cut out the Silver Foil behind it using the Layering Circles and wound some Silver Thread behind them.

warmth-cheer-stamp-it-up-with-jaimie-stampinup

My second card uses the basic same ideas, this time with Garden Green cardstock as its base.

warmth-cheer-stampin-up-stamp-it-up-with-jaimie

This time I used Gold Foil Sheet behind the sentiment and wound some Gold Baker’s Twine underneath it.

Enjoy and have a Very Merry Christmas!!!
