Stampin’ Up! – So Santa Scooting By

Yay for it being Friday!!!

Any fun plans this weekend?

The leaves are gorgeous in Upstate New York right now so I think we might go for a hike.  I just love the fall!!

Now on to today’s card…

My card starts off with Call Me Clover cardstock.  I then took a pattern from the Santa’s Workshop Designer Series Paper and matted it on Whisper White cardstock.

Next I took a panel of Whisper White cardstock (to be matted on Poppy Parade cardstock) and stamped the Santa from the So Santa Stamp Set in Memento Black ink.

I colored Santa in using Poppy Parade (hat, outfit, & presents), Call Me Clover (wheels & bag), Basic Black (belt & glasses), Smoky Slate (scooter), Ivory (face), Mint Macaron (gifts), Crumb Cake (teddy bear & dirt) Stampin’ Blends Markers.

I stamped the sentiment from the So Santa Stamp Set in Versamark Ink on Call Me Clover cardstock, sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder, and heat set it.

Lastly I wound around some Poppy Parade Ribbon in a ribbon.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Trick or Tweet Halloween Card

Happy Friday everyone!

Have any fun fall plans this weekend?

I just signed up for my very first craft fair and I’ll be crafting up a storm this weekend in preparation – so exciting!!

For my card today, I’m sharing a super cute Halloween card.  It starts off with Gorgeous Grape cardstock.  I then matted a pattern from the Toil & Trouble Designer Series Paper on some Basic Black cardstock.

Next I took a panel of Whisper White cardstock and using a sponge and Highland Heather and Gorgeous Grape inks, I created a purple gradient color (see video below).  I mounted this on Basic Black cardstock and added two enamel circles from the Best Route Enamel Shapes in the corner.

I stamped the sentiment from the Trick or Tweet Stamp Set in Versamark ink on a bit of Basic Black cardstock, sprinkled it with white embossing powder, and heat set it.

Lastly, I stamped the elephant in Memento Black Ink on Whisper White cardstock and colored him in using Smoky Slate, Highland Heather, Pumpkin Pie, and Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends Markers.  I cut him out using Paper Snips and adhered him down with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Check out the video below to see exactly how this card was made:

Today’s card was inspired by this week’s Sunday Stamps Challenge.

Stampin’ Up! Wishing You Well Notes

This week’s Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge is a fun color challenge.  Be sure to participate this week and link up your project to the challenge.

I thought I would keep things super clean and simple today with a set of note cards.

I love note cards – they don’t need a lot of detail on them and yet they do just the trick when wanting to send “just a note.”  I made these note cards the other day, so maybe I’m on a roll.

My note card starts off with Thick Whisper White cardstock.    I then cut a banner using Gorgeous Grape cardstock to run down the middle.

I then stamped the wreath from the Wishing You Well Stamp Set in Night of Navy ink on a panel of Whisper White cardstock, which I matted on Night of Navy cardstock.

I then stamped the bow in Flirty Flamingo ink and fussy cut it out, adhering it with Stampin’ Mini Dimensionals.

Lastly I stamped the sentiment in Versamark ink on Night of Navy cardstock, sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder, and heat set it.

I decided to switch the colors of the wreath and bow to have a few options with subtle differences.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Trick or Tweet Card

This week the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is joining the Happy Stampers Blog Hop.  We could use the  sketch challenge or color challenge.  I thought they both worked nicely together.

My card starts off with Granny Apple Green cardstock which I layered with a pattern from the Toil & Trouble Designer Series Paper.

Next I stamped the kitty image from the Trick or Tweet Stamp Set in Memento Black ink on a panel of Whisper White cardstock.  I used the Mango Melody Stampin’ Blends Markers to color in the kitty and the Light Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends Marker to give a slight shade to the bandages.

I stamped the pumpkin on a separate piece of Whisper White in Memento Black ink, which I colored with the Mango Melody Stampin’ Blends Markers and Light Pineapple Punch Stampin’ Blends Marker.  I fussy cut it out with the Paper Snips and adhered it over the kitty’s paw with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I matted the Whisper White cardstock panel on Granny Apple Green cardstock and placed a piece of Black Glittered Organdy ribbon underneath it.

Lastly, I stamped the sentiment from the Trick or Tweet Stamp Set in Memento Black ink and added a few Mango Melody enamel shapes from the Best Route Enamel Shapes next to it.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! So Santa Christmas Card

I am having so much fun coloring with the Stampin’ Blends Markers.

I’ve always been really intimidated by water coloring, but using the Stampin’ Blends Markers makes coloring so easy and a lot of fun!

My card starts off with Poppy Parade cardstock.  Next I matted a panel of Soft Sea Foam cardstock which I embossed using the Simply Stripes embossing folder on Whisper White cardstock.

Before adhering it down, I wrapped around some Poppy Parade ribbon and tied a bow (to be adhered over the Whisper White).

I stamped the image from the So Santa Stamp Set in Memento Black ink on Whisper White cardstock.  I used Poppy Parade, Soft Sea Foam, Granny Apple Green, Daffodil Delight, Petal Pink and Ivory Stampin’ Blends Markers to color in the images.  I also used the Light Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends Marker to give Santa some rosy cheeks.

I matted this on a slightly larger panel of Whisper White cardstock and adhered it down using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

For a detailed look at how I made this card, please check out this video:

Next I matted a panel of Whisper White cardstock on Call Me Clover cardstock.  I stamped the flower from the Petal Palette Stamp Set in Memento Black ink and colored it in using Call Me Clover and Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blends Markers.  I used the Light Soft Sea Foam Stampin’ Blends Marker to color just a little bit around the flower.

Stampin’ Up! Painted Harvest & Another Wonderful Year Card

This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is a color challenge.  Happy hopping!

This color combination made me think of fall, so I pulled out a beloved stamp set that I haven’t used in a while – Painted Harvest – and paired it with a stamp set full of really great sentiments – Another Wonderful Year.

My card starts off with Early Espresso cardstock.  I then matted a pattern from the Country Lane Designer Series Paper on Whisper White cardstock and adhered it to the right upper corner.

Next I cut a panel of Whisper White cardstock on a diagonal and stamped the stitched edge from the Swirly Frames Stamp Set in Early Espresso around it.

I used Crushed Curry, Mint Macaron, and Early Espresso ink and the Painted Harvest stamp set to create my sunflower.  I used the masking technique to get the leaves to be behind the flower.

Lastly, I stamped the sentiment from the Another Wonderful Year stamp set in Early Espresso ink on Mint Macaron cardstock.

Enjoy!

Today’s card was inspired by this week’s Sunday Stamps Challenge.
