Stampin’ Up! Swirly Frames Easter Card

Easter is right around the corner…literally.

When making an Easter card, you might not reach for the Swirly Frames or Pretty Perennials Stamp Sets, but I want to show you a fun way to use them.

I shared the card last week live over on YouTube. I’ll be back today at 1:00 EST and I’d love for you to join me. Set your alarm so you don’t forget – or better yet, subscribe to my YouTube channel so you get a notification when I go live!

My card starts off with Petal Pink cardstock, which I embossed using the Painted Texture Embossing Folder.

I then took a Petal Pink pattern from the Subtles Designer Series Paper pack and matted it on Basic White.

Next I took a panel of Basic White cardstock and stamped the circle from the Swirly Frames Stamp Set and the “ears” from the Petal Perennials Stamp Set in Smoky Slate ink. I used the Hydrangea Dies to cut out Petal Pink flowers and stamped the leaves from the Pretty Perennials Stamp Set in Soft Sea Foam ink, cutting them out with the coordinating dies.

I then added a couple of Champagne Rhinestones over the flowers and then matted this on Smoky Slate cardstock. Next, I colored the White Crinkled Ribbon using the Dark Petal Pink Stampin’ Blends Marker and wrapped it around.

Lastly, I stamped the sentiment from the Arrange a Wreath Stamp Set in Smoky Slate ink and cut it out using the Tasteful Labels Dies.

Stampin’ Up! Springtime Joy Easter Card & Video

Easter is right around the corner and it’s time to get those cards and gift giving projects ready.

Last week for my Facebook live, I made two cards (a really simple one and a more stepped up one) and also a belly band for some Easter chocolate.

The projects use the Springtime Joy Stamp Set which has to be my favorite stamp set for Easter/spring projects. Aren’t the bunny, lamb, and chick just the cutest!!!!

Tonight I’ll be back with another Facebook live card and I’ll be making another Easter card. I’ll be using the Arrange a Wreath Bundle and I LOVE-LOVE-LOVE the card and I know you will too. Join me live and you might just win the card!

Stampin’ Up! Pretty Perennials Easter Card

This month’s Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop theme is “Celebrate Spring“. Have fun hopping through the different blogs to see how everyone interpreted spring!!

My card starts off with Blushing Bride cardstock.

I next took a pattern from the Fine Art Floral Designer Series Paper and cut the same size Vellum cardstock. I used the Stitched with Whimsy Dies to cut a stitched rectangle around the vellum.

I next stamped the flowers from the Pretty Perennials Stamp Set in Blushing Bride and Daffodil ink. I used the coordinating Perennial Petals Dies to cut them out, as well as a Blushing Bride and Soft Sea Foam details to go with the flowers.

Under the flowers, I folded over a piece of Whisper White Polka Dot Tulle.

Lastly, using the masking technique I stamped the sentiment from the Timeless Tulips Stamp Set in Blushing Bride ink on a narrow piece of Basic White cardstock and added a few pearls around it.

Stampin’ Up! More Than Words Easter Card

Yesterday we had a great sketch challenge for our Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.

It was also my upline, Amy’s, birthday so we decided to all make birthday cards (as a surprise).  However, by the time we decided to do this, my card had already been made for the sketch.

So today’s card actually fits yesterday’s sketch challenge too.

My card starts off with Blushing Bride cardstock.  I then took a panel of Whisper White cardstock and stamped the wreath from the Wishing You Well Stamp Set in Crumb Cake, Mint Macaron, and Blushing Bride.   When I put it on the block I sort of scrunched it up to make it more oval than circular.

I matted this on Crumb Cake cardstock and wrapped around some Whisper White Flax Ribbon and then tied a White Baker’s Twine bow around it as well.

Next I stamped the sentiment from the More Than Words Stamp Set in Versamark ink on Mint Macaron cardsock, sprinkled it with white embossing powder, and heat set it.

This is a very versatile stamp set with great sentiments.  It is only available for just a few days more, so don’t wait!

Enjoy!

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter to you and your family!

I hope you are enjoying a special day with your family!  I love Easter.  It’s my second favorite holiday to Thanksgiving.  Easter brings so much hope.

Living in the Northeast, we are starting to see buds on the trees, hastas pocking through the ground, rain that just smells of grass and not snow, and those blessed birds that have returned and with them their beautiful music in the morning.  Can you believe it’s supposed to get to the 80s today!!!

For my card today, of course I had to make an Easter card filled with bright colors

My card base is Mint Macaron cardstock (which, can we just pause for a second and say how much I am going to miss this color!!!  There’s none like it in the Stampin’ Up! colors and I am almost in mourning over it’s retirement.)  Moving on – I took a panel of Flirty Flamingo cardstock and dry embossed it with the Petal Burst embossing folder and then matted it on Whisper White cardstock before adhering it to the card.

Next I stamped my sentiment from the Suite Sayings stamp set in Flirty Flamingo on some Whisper White cardstock.  Using the Layering Ovals Framelits, I cut the sentiment out and another scalloped oval (a smidge bigger) to mat behind it.

Lastly, I stamped and cut out my flowers and leaves using the Falling Flowers Bundle.  I stamped each image in the same color as the cardstock (i.e., Flirty Flamingo ink on Flirty Flamingo cardstock) and cut them out with the coordinating framelits and adhered them around the sentiment.

Enjoy and Happy Easter!

Today’s card was inspired by the challenge at Color Throwdown this week.

Easter Tic-Tac-Toe

I am having so much fun with the Basket Bunch Bundle (stamp & matching thinlits).  They’re perfect for Easter, spring, baby, and anything bright and fun!

Today I used the chick and egg image to create an Easter tic-tac-toe card.

My card starts off with Blushing Bride cardstock which I dry embossed using the Sparkle Embossing Folder.  I then cut out a 2″ banner using Silver Foil cardstock and adhered it over the center of the card.

I created my tic-tac-toe by cutting out a 3″ square of Whisper White cardstock.  At the 1″ and 2″ measurement, I used a Basic Black Write Markers and drew lines to mark the grid.  I used Memento Black ink to stamp three chick images and three egg images and cut them out using the Basket Bunch Bundle.  Before adhering the chick, I stamped the legs in each square. I layered the Whisper White cardstock over some Daffodil Delight cardstock and adhered it to the card.

For my sentiment I used the Alphabet Labeler stamp set and Blushing Bride ink which I fussy cut out.  I adhered them using the outer edge of Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Enjoy!

Blessings of Easter

If you’re vising my blog from Amy’s, WELCOME!  I’m so glad you swung by for a visit!

It’s hard to believe next week is Easter!  With just a week to go, I went with Easter Blessings for today’s card.

I started with a base color of Pool Party and layered it with Whisper White.

I then layered Blushing Bride with a sweet pattern from the Birthday Bouquet DSP.  I used the Circles Framelits to cut a smaller circle out of them both first.  Then I ran just the Birthday Bouquet DSP through with the next bigger size Circles Framelit.

Easter - Stamp It Up With Jaimie This gives the “framed” look around the sentiment.

Easter - Stampin Up - Stamp It Up With JaimieI traced a circle onto the Whisper White, so I’d have an idea where to stamp my sentiment.  The Easter sentiment comes from the Suite Saying Stamp Set and is stamped in Blushing Bride.  The Blushing Bride/Birthday Bouquet frame was then adhered to the Whisper White cardstock using dimensionals.

Blessings of Easter - Stampin Up - Stamp It Up With Jaimie

I added a satin knot in Whisper White to complete the card.

Enjoy and a very Happy Easter to you and your families!
