Stampin’ Up! Super Simple Free as a Bird Thank You Card

Have you ever had an idea for a card design and wonder if it’ll work…or if it’ll even look good?!

Well, you know me and my fussy cutting, so I had this idea for the Free as a Bird Stamp Set, and I have to say, I really like how it came out.

It’s definitely a super simple card, but the “wow” is in the fancy cutting on the bottom.

I took a panel of Thick Basic White cardstock.

Using the Stamparatus was key. I first stamped the birds from the Free as a Bird Stamp Set on the front of the card, then opened it up and stamped them again on the inside in Memento Black ink. Using the Stamparatus ensured that I would stamp both birds in the exact same spot on the outside and on the inside.

I then colored the image in using Crumb Cake (branch), Granny Apple Green (leaf), Daffodil Delight (flower), Smoky Slate (birds), Petal Pink and Calypso Coral (birds) Stampin’ Blends Markers.

Then, using my Paper Snips, I fussy cut out the birds on the card front so the birds on the inside show through.

Lastly, I stamped the sentiment from the Free as a Bird Stamp Set in Memento Black ink and cut it out using the Tasteful Labels Dies, as well as wound some Linen Thread underneath.

Thanks for checking out my project today!!!

Today’s card was inspired by this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

Stampin’ Up! Free as a Bird Thank You Card

Happy Monday everyone!

We’re here back to the routine…homeschooling and our regular schedule. It’s sort of bitter sweet!

My card starts off with Rococo Rose cardstock, which I embossed using the Dainty Diamonds Embossing Folder.

I then took a Rococo Rose pattern from the Oh So Ombre Designer Series Paper and stamped the birds from the Free as a Bird Stamp Set in Rococo Rose ink. I matted it on Basic White cardstock and cut the ends of it off.

On a separate piece of Basic White cardstock I stamped the leaf from the Free as a Bird in the corner in Rococo Rose ink. I adhered the cut pieces of the Oh So Ombre on either side of the Basic White panel.

I adhered the cut piece over the Basic White panel using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Lastly, I stamped the sentiment in Rococo Rose ink.

Thanks for checking out my project today!

Stampin’ Up! Swirly Frames Thank You Card

Hi friends!

I don’t know about you, but this weekend flew by way too fast.
I hope you have a great week ahead (and are able to get some stamping in).

My card today starts off with Pool Party cardstock, which I embossed using the Dainty Diamonds Embossing Folder.

I then used the Stamparatus to stamp the rectangle from the Swirly Frames Stamp Set along a panel of Whisper White cardstock in Misty Moonlight, Pool Party, and Mint Macaron ink.

I stamped the right rectangle first in Mint Macaron ink, moved the hinge one space to the left, stamped it in Pool Party, moved the hinge one space to the left, and stamped it in Misty Moonlight ink. I continued this until all the rectangles were stamped.

I stamped the bird image from the Free As A Bird Stamp Set in Pool Party ink, stamping off first for a lighter shade.

I stamped the sentiment from the Free As A Bird Stamp Set in the corner in Misty Moonlight ink. I then adhered a panel of Misty Moonlight cardstock under the Whisper White panel.

Thanks for checking out my project today!!

It’s been a busy week, as I’m sure it has been for you, so today I have a quick and simple thank you card for you.

Stampin’ Up! Free As A Bird Fussy Cutting Card

Fussy cutting…

I have come to enjoy it and love how it can really transform an image.

I used a few of the images from the Free As A Bird Stamp Set, which I fussy cut out and trimmed down, to add to my card.

Today’s card also is part of the Design Team’s projects for the new Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge.  We have a great inspirational challenge for you this week and I sure hope you’ll play along!

My card starts off with Thick Whisper White cardstock which I embossed using the Tin Tile Embossing Folder.

I took a panel of Sahara Sand cardstock, embossed it using the Pinewood Planks Embossing Folder, and used the Layering Squares Dies to make it a frame.

I stamped the images from the Free As A Bird Stamp Set in Memento Black ink.  I colored them in using Granny Apple Green (leaves), Petal Pink (flowers, buds), Crumb Cake (branch) Stampin’ Blends Markers.  I fussy cut them out and adhered them over the frame.

I tied a Pink Petal ribbon bow over the branch and then cut out three “friend” sentiments from Petal Pink cardstock using the Well Written Dies, gluing them over each other.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Super Simple Free As A Bird Thank You

Everyone loves free shipping…
So I thought I’d kick off July with a free shipping offer.

For all the details (and a bunch of other specials going on now), check the bottom of this post.

Now on to today’s card…

For the month of June I did a challenge a day with my team.
Some days it was stamping-related, other days it was just something motivational or to get them thinking.

One of the challenges was to create a very simple card…
which can be tricky and challenging.

Here’s one of the cards I came up with…

My card starts off with Thick Whisper White cardstock.

I stamped the images from the Free As A Bird Stamp Set in Memento Black ink on the bottom of the page.  I used Daffodil Delight, Flirty Flamingo, Call Me Clover, and Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends Markers to color them in.

I then used Washi Tape to tape off an area around the stamped images.  Using Grid Paper for this makes it really easy to get a straight line.  I then used the Light Pool Party Stampin’ Blends Marker to color it in.

Lastly I stamped the sentiment in Call Me Clover ink and added a few pearls around the stamped images.

Enjoy!

Today’s card was inspired by this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

I recently had to make a congratulations card for a team member and decided to use the gorgeous new Bird Ballad Suite from the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog.

It includes the Free As A Bird Stamp Set, Stitched Nested Labels Dies, and Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper.

My card starts off with Coastal Cabana Cardstock.  I then matted a pattern from the Bird Ballad DSP on Whisper White cardstock.

I stamped the sentiment from the Little Elephant Stamp Set in Versamark ink on Poppy Parade cardstock.  I sprinkled it with white embossing powder and heat set it.
