Stampin’ Up! Floral Frames Birthday

Happy Wednesday everyone!

Be sure to swing by my Facebook page tonight at 7:30 pm EST.  I have a really cozy Christmas card (sneak peek below) to share with you tonight.  If you catch the tutorial live and leave a comment, at the end I’ll draw a name for someone to receive tonight’s card!

My card today starts off with Early Espresso cardstock.  I then matted a panel of Whisper White cardstock on Pumpkin Pie cardstock.  Before adhering down a Bermuda Bay pattern from the Brights 6×6 Designer Series Paper, I stamped a few sprigs of leaves in Bermuda Bay ink on the Whisper White cardstock.

Next I stamped the sentiment from the Floral Frames Stamp Set in Bermuda Bay ink and cut it out with a frame from the Foliage Frame Thinlits.

I then cut out a bunch of leaves in Bermuda Bay, Early Espresso, and Pumpkin Pie cardstock using the same Foliage Frame Thinlits.

I stamped the flowers in Pumpkin Pie ink and cut then out with the same thinlits.  Lastly, I added a few pearls around the images.

Today’s card was inspired by this week’s color challenge at TGIF Challenges!

SNEAK PEEK Stampin’ Up! Alpine Adventure

I saw this Alpine Adventure Bundle in the 2018 Holiday Catalog and HAD to have it!!!

It’s a fun mix of great dies and stamped images!  It’s available September 4th.

My card today starts off with Cherry Cobbler cardstock.  I took a panel of Whisper White cardstock and embossed it using the Subtle embossing folder and then matted it on Mossy Meadow cardstock.  I love this color combination with the Crumb Cake.

I stamped the sentiment from the Alpine Adventure Stamp Set on Cherry Cobbler cardstock in Versamark ink, sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder, and heat set it.  I used the coordinating Alpine Sports Thinlits to cut out the sled from Cherry Cobbler cardstock and the snow shoes from Crumb Cake cardstock.

Lastly I stamped the wreath using the Alpine Adventure Stamp Set using Mossy Meadow and Cherry Cobbler ink and added a Braided Linen Trim ribbon over it.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Sea of Textures Thanks

This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is a color challenge.  Happy hopping!

My card today starts off with Berry Burst cardstock. I then matted a panel of Watercolor Paper on Pool Party cardstock.

Next I took an Aqua Painter and got the Watercolor Paper wet.  I then picked up Pool Party ink and “painted” over the wet area.

When that was dry I stamped the “splotch” and the sentiment in Memento Black ink.  The “splotch” was a last minute add as I somehow got a small patch of black in the corner which needed covering up.

I stamped Mr. Octopus in Berry Burst ink from the Sea of Textures Stamp Set and cut him out and the net as well (from Lemon Lime Twist cardstock) using the Under the Sea Thinlits.  I adhered the octopus down using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Abstract Impressions Flowers

Today’s card was another one that we made at my Annual Catalog Launch Party.

And now here we are getting ready for the Holiday Catalog.  The year always seems to fly by so quickly.

My card starts off with Mint Macaron cardstock which I embossed with the Softly Falling Embossing Folder.

Next I took a panel of Whisper White cardstock (to be matted on Call Me Clover cardstock) and used the Abstract Impressions Stamp Set to create my flowers.  I stamped the stems in Mint Macaron and Call Me Clover inks and Lovely Lipstick ink for the flowers (stamping off for the lighter shade).

I used the Springtime Impressions Thinlits to cut the butterfly out of Lovely Lipstick cardstock and then used a sponge to darken some areas using Lovely Lipstick ink.

Lastly I stamped the sentiment in Call Me Clover ink.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Birthday Card GDP144

I’ve been so busy with thank you cards, I’ve sort of neglected birthday cards.

Today’s card came together so easily and yet the Broadway Bound Designer Series Paper really steals the show.

My card starts off with Thick Whisper White cardstock.  I then took the candle pattern from the Broadway Bound Designer Series Paper and matted it on Gold cardstock.

I took the star pattern and cut it in a banner and adhered it using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Next I took a Tupperware and mixed a little Gold embossing powder and Black embossing powder.  I stamped the sentiment from the Better Together stamp set in Versamark ink and sprinkled the mix of embossing powders on it.  I then heat set it.  The mix of the two colors gives a very cool look – love it!

Before adhering the sentiment down with Stampin’ Dimensionals, I wound behind it some gold and black cord.

Enjoy!

Today’s card was inspired by this week’s Global Design Project challenge.
