Stampin’ Up! Simple So Much Happy Birthday Card

Today I have a relatively simple birthday card that can work for just about anyone!

Or if you wanted to make it more feminine or masculine, you could just switch up the colors.

My card starts off with Bermuda Bay cardstock.  I then took a panel of Whisper White cardstock and stamped the balloons and strings from the So Much Happy Stamp Set in Bermuda Bay, Calypso Coral, and Daffodil Delight ink.

I then matted this on Calypso Coral cardstock.

I stamped the “happy” from the So Much Happy Stamp Set in Versamark ink, sprinkled it with white embossing powder, and heat set it.  I cut it out using the Stitched Rectangles Dies.   I stamped the birthday in Calypso Coral ink and fussy cut it out.

Lastly I used the coordinating Happy Dies to add a few stars to the balloons.

Thanks for checking out my project today!

Stampin’ Up! Stitched Triangles Birthday Card

I just LOVE the Stitched Triangles Dies.

(Well, I just about love every die.)
But the triangles are such a fun shape to work with – and they’re perfect to fill an empty space.

For my color choice I was inspired by our new color challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments.  I sure hope you’ll play along these next two weeks!

My card starts off with Coastal Cabana cardstock which I embossed using the Subtle Embossing Folder.

I took a panel of Whisper White cardstock and matted it on Magenta Madness cardstock.  In the corner I stamped the sentiment from the Itty Bitty Birthdays Stamp Set in Magenta Madness ink.

I then used the Stitched Triangles Dies to cut out triangles from Magenta Madness, Coastal Cabana, and Bumblebee cardstock.  I used the same dies to cut out a banner from Bumblebee cardstock to layer over one of the triangles.

Lastly, I added a Magenta Madness enamel dot.

Thanks for checking out my project today!

Today’s card was inspired by this week’s Fab Friday challenge.

Stampin’ Up! Super Quick and Simple Christmas Card

I have a super, ridiculously quick and simple Christmas card for you.

What I love most about Designer Series Paper…you can use it predominantly on a card and not need a whole lot of anything else.

And when life gets super busy, it’s what I use to make a simple and quick card.

My card starts off with Cherry Cobbler cardstock.  I then took a pattern from the Night Before Christmas Designer Series Paper and matted it on Old Olive cardstock.

Next I stamped the sentiment from the So Many Stars Stamp Set in Versamark ink on Old Olive cardstock, sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder, and heat set it.  I then matted it on Cherry Cobbler cardstock.

That’s it…easy peasy.  Two cardstock colors, one Designer Series Paper, one stamp set, and some heat embossing.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Birthday Card Beautiful Friendship

Every week for the month of October I’ve been giving my team a sketch and color challenge.  They can use them individually or in the same project.

I took a break from Christmas cards today and used the challenges to make a birthday card.

My card starts off with Terracotta Tile cardstock, on which I adhered a Terracotta Tile pattern from the 2019-2021 In-Color Designer Series Paper.

I next took a panel of Whisper White cardstock and stamped the flowers from the Beautiful Friendship Stamp Set in Terracotta Tile ink and leaves in Mint Macaron.  I then matted this on Mint Macaron cardstock.

Lastly I stamped the sentiment in parts so that it would fit on a long banner in Versamark ink, sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder, and heat set it.  In order to stamp the sentiment in parts, I covered the part I wasn’t stamping with washi tape, inked up the stamp, removed the tape, and stamped it down.  I did this until I had the full sentiment.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Rooted in Nature Birthday Card

If you’re ever having a hard time putting colors together for a card, my go-to is to look at colors in Designer Series Paper.

On the back of all the Designer Series Paper, Stampin’ Up! always makes note of the coordinating colors in the pack.  The inspiration for my card today came from retired Designer Series Paper from last year.

My card starts off with Blackberry Bliss cardstock which I embossed using the Tin Tile Embossing Folder.

I then took a panel of Whisper White cardstock  and stamped the leaves from the Rooted in Nature stamp set in Blackberry Bliss and Mint Macaron ink.

I used the Nature’s Roots Dies and Mint Macaron to cut and emboss two leaves.  Lastly, I stamped the sentiment from the Itty Bitty Birthdays in Versamark ink, sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder, and heat set it.

Enjoy!
