Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Boughs Christmas Card

This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is a sketch challenge.  Happy hopping!

I normally tend to use reds for Christmas cards, but today I’m embracing green for Christmas, specifically Shaded Spruce.

My card starts off with Shaded Spruce cardstock on which I adhered a pattern from the Wrapped in Plaid Designer Series Paper.

Next I took a panel of Shaded Spruce cardstock and stamped two boughs from the Peaceful Boughs Stamp Set on it in Shaded Spruce ink.  I then layered this on Gold Foil and tied a Shaded Spruce/Gold bow around the front of the card.

Next I cut out a Whisper White circle using the Stitched Shapes Dies.  On it I first stamped one of the boughs from the Peaceful Boughs Stamp Set in Delicata Gold ink.  Over that I stamped the sentiment in Shaded Spruce ink and adhered it down using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Winter Woods Christmas Card

Notice anything a little different around here?!

I got new graphics!

This is something I’ve been working on for a while and finally was able to switch things over.  Slowly but surely everything will look just a little different.

Different look, but same blog 🙂

My card today starts off with Old Olive cardstock.  I then took a panel of Whisper White cardstock which eventually gets matted on Crumb Cake cardstock.

I used the Stamparatus and the Winter Woods Stamp Set to create my trees.  I first stamped the trees in Old Olive ink on the top.  I then came back and stamped the trunks in Crumb Cake ink and added some Poppy Parade and Blackberry Bliss ink to highlight the trees.

Next I stamped the sentiment from the Winter Woods Stamp Set in Versamark ink on Vellum.  I sprinkled it with Gold Embossing Powder and heat set it.

Finally I used the In The Woods Framelits to cut out two trees from Gold Foil and I added two Gold Sequins to finish it off.

Enjoy!

Today’s card was inspired by this week’s Global Design Project challenge.
