Stampin’ Up! Humming Along Card

This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is a color challenge.  Happy hopping!

So these colors scream Valentine’s Day; however, being that yesterday’s card and the one the day before were both Valentine’s Day cards and used only Lovely Lipstick, I decided to make a thank you.

My card today starts off with Soft Sea Foam cardstock.  I then matted a pattern from the Brights Designer Series Paper (the flirty flamingo one) on Whisper White cardstock.

I stamped the hibiscus from the Humming Along Stamp Set in Memento Black ink on Whisper White cardstock.  I colored it in using Lovely Lipstick, Flirty Flamingo, and Soft Sea Foam Stampin’ Blends Markers and the fussy cut it out.

I cut out a stitched square using the Stitched Shapes Framelits and stamped the sentiment in Memento Black ink.  I adhered the hibiscus using Stampin’ Dimensionals and added a pearl next to the sentiment.

Enjoy!

PRODUCT LIST:

SNEAK PEEK Humming Along Stamp Set

Today’s card uses a new stamp set and new Designer Series Paper!

These are items from the 2019 Occasions Catalog and will be available to customers January 3rd.

I received both the stamp set and paper for free at OnStage this past weekend and I couldn’t wait to crack them open.

My card today starts off with Daffodil Delight cardstock which I layered with a pattern from the Gingham Gala Designer Series Paper.

The Gingham Gala Designer Series Paper is 6″x6″ paper and includes four colors: Balmy Blue, Daffodil Delight, Grapefruit Grove, Highland Heather, and Lemon Lime Twist.  One side is a wider gingham and the backside a tighter gingham.

Next I stamped the flower in Memento Black ink on Whisper White cardstock.  It comes from the Humming Along Stamp Set which also features a hummingbird, a leaf, and great sentiments.  It coordinates with the Hummingbird Framelits Dies.

I colored the hibiscus in using the Light Lovely Lipstick (inner part of flower), Light Flirty Flamingo (to blend the pink and yellow together), Dark and Light Daffodil Delight, and Granny Apple Green (stem and leaf) Stampin’ Blends Markers.

I stamped the sentiment next to it in Memento Black ink.  I matted this on Lovely Lipstick cardstock and wrapped some Granny Apple Green ribbon around it.

Enjoy!

Today’s card was inspired by this week’s Global Design Project challenge.
