For today’s card share I participated in the Pals Paper Arts challenge.

I started with a base of Melon Mambo and then layered it with a pattern from the It’s My Party DSP.  Isn’t it fun!

Party Wishes - Stamp It Up With JaimieOver the candles I layered another pattern of stars from the It’s My Party DSP (matted on Whisper White) and then layered it with a piece of Whisper White matted on Sahara Sand.  The fun balloon stamp and punch are from the Party Wishes Bundle and were stamped in Melon Mambo, Mint Macaron, and Sahara Sand.  I added a bow over top in the Baker’s Twine Combo Pack.

The sentiment also comes from the Party Wishes Bundle and was stamped in Mint Macaron and layered over the same.

It’s that time of the week for the Mojo Monday challenge.

Tis the season for graduations.  I know I have a few coming up, how about you?

For today’s card I started with a base of Basic Black cardstock.  All of the patterned paper comes from the It’s My Party DSP and was layered over each other in different sizes and one banner.

I layered the black pattern DSP and banner with some vellum and then stamped the 2016 in Sahara Sand from the Number of Years Stamp Set.  The Large Number Framelits perfectly coordinate to punch the numbers exactly.

I added some stars, the smallest ones from the Itty Bitty Accent Punch Pack and the bigger ones from the Star Framelits (in the weekly deals this week).

It’s My Party- Scrapbooking

I am so excited to share with you a scrapbook layout I’ve been working on.  See my first scrapbook post here.

For my double layouts I don’t design them to necessarily flow together as one, but I do like the colors to go together and not clash.  So for both pages I went with It’s My Party patterns and colors.  This is my 9-year-old, Emily’s, pages.

Stampin Up Scrapbook - Stamp It Up With JaimieWe went for a few days to a place called “Word of Life.”  On Friday nights they have a rodeo and you can walk around to the barn and live animals.  Well, she is an avid cat lover (I call her the cat whisperer) so of course I had to capture this moment.

I used It’s My Party DSP patterns and punched them with the Hexagon punch and scattered them in the different corners of the 12 x 12.

I used the It’s My Party Baker’s Twine, both in Mint Macaron and Melon Mambo to add some layering on top.  The sentiment, You’re Sweet, is from a retired stamp set.  The pictures are matted on Melon Mambo.

For the second 12 x 12 layout, I used yet another page from the It’s My Party DSP.  The pictures are matted in Mint Macaron.

This time I used the Chevron Punch in Mint Macaron both at the top and the bottom.

Under the bottom photos, I added some Dotted Lace Trim in Mint Macaron and a few It’s My Party Enamel Dots to add some detail.

Today’s card is all about the fun, bright colors of a thank you card.

I started with a base of Melon Mambo.  I then layered it with a bright, polka-dotted pattern from the It’s My Party DSP.  The vertical pattern is also from the It’s My Party DSP.

My sentiment is from the One Big Meaning Stamp Set and is stamped in Mint Macaron.  I matted it on Mint Macaron and added a few enamel dots from the It’s My Party Enamel Dots.  I love how these dots coordinate perfectly with the paper and come in two different sizes.

To finish it off, I added two bows from the Baker’s Twine Combo Pack, which again coordinates perfectly with the colors.

For my card, I started with a base color of Melon Mambo.  I used the It’s My Party DSP to add fun patterned designs in Melon Mambo and Basic Black.  The image of the bicycle is stamped in Basic Black on Whisper White.

I'm Here For You - Stamp It Up With JaimieTo add detail, I cut a few slivers of the same It’s My Party DSP to tuck behind my sentiment, “I’m Here For You.”  Holding it all together is a Silver Mini Brad.  The ribbon is Melon Mambo and Basic Black and comes from the Baker’s Twine Combo Pack.

What to do with Washi Tape, oh, what to do with Washi Tape?

Even though it’s such a fun element to use, sometimes it can be puzzling how to use it.

This beautiful DSP paper of Mint Macaron diagonal lines comes from the It’s My Party DSP packet.  This has been my go-to DSP for some days now because not only does it have really fun, bright, vibrant patterns for Birthday Cards, but also simple, clean lines for other generic cards.

So, back to my Washi Tape…

I saw these diagonal lines on the DSP and decided I wanted to mirror them in some way with Washi Tape.  Hence, my card today!  I used the 2015-2017 In-Color Washi Tape to coordinate with the Mint Macaron paper.  The sentiment is from the Balloon Celebration Stamp Set and is stamped in Tip Top Taupe.  To add a little extra flare, I added a Whisper White ribbon in satin.

Mojo Monday – It’s My Party!

I love challenges!  You’ll see that almost all my cards are based off of them.  The reason?  Because coming up with the layout honestly is half the work.  It’s easier to get creative once someone figures out the bones to work off of.

So, alas, it’s that time of the week for Mojo Monday #434.

Mojo434And perfectly timed as I just got my Balloon Celebration Bundle last week!  Bundles are great because you get the stamp and punch (or framelit) that coordinate perfectly together for 15% off.

Birthdays are fun and this Balloon Celebration Bundle with the It’s My Party DSP feels just that way!

Mint Macaron and Melon Mambo were my highlighted colors, while I used the coordinating Baker’s Twine and Candy Dots as little details.  It’s hard to see, but Real Red and Coastal Cabana were added over the balloons to give a fun effect (you can see it better on the Melon Mambo balloon).
