Stampin’ Up! Retiring Lemon Zest Birthday Card

This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is a sketch challenge.  Happy hopping!

My card starts off with Pineapple Punch cardstock.  I then matted a pattern from the NEW Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper (available June 4) on Whisper White cardstock.

I used the Be Mine Dies to cut out a stitched scalloped edge from Whisper White cardstock.

I used the Lemon Zest Stamp Set and Lemon Builder Punch to create my lemons.  I stamped the lemons in Pineapple Punch ink and leaves in Granny Apple Green ink, adhering the cut lemon down with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Lemon Zest Stamp Set in Versamark ink on Granny Apple Green cardstock, sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder, and heat set it.  I adhered it down with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

As of right now the Lemon Zest Stamp Set and coordinating punch are still in stock, but they are available while supplies last and retiring, so don’t wait before it’s too late to get them!

Stampin’ Up! Card Using Lemon Zest Stamp

This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is a color challenge.  Happy hopping!

My card starts off with Old Olive cardstock.  I then took a panel of Whisper White cardstock and matted it on Crushed Curry cardstock.

Then I did some fun layering using the Lemon Zest Stamp Set and matching Lemon Builder Punch.

TIP: Whenever you want to do some layering and are not quite sure how you want it to look.  Play around with the different images on your grid paper.  Then when you have it perfect – take a picture of it on your phone.  That way when you go to adhere everything down, you know exactly where to put it.

I stamped the whole lemon in Crushed Curry Ink and cut it out using the Lemon Builder Punch, as well as the leaves from Old Olive cardstock.

For the sliced lemons, I stamped off first for a lighter shade of Crushed Curry.  I fussy cut them out (although a circle framelit would’ve done the trick).  I adhered the one with a Stampin’ Dimensional.

I stamped the sentiments on Berry Burst cardstock in Versamark ink.  I sprinkled them with white embossing powder and heat set them.  The one I cut out using a circle stitched framelit.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Lemon Zest Card

This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is a sketch challenge.  Happy hopping!

For today’s card I decided to pull out the Lemon Zest Stamp Set & Punch.  I started off with Peekaboo Peach cardstock which I embossed using the Pinewood Planks embossing folder.

I took a pattern from the Tutti-Frutti Designer Series Paper and matted it on Whisper White cardstock next.  I then stamped the sentiment from the Lemon Zest Stamp Set in Old Olive ink on Whisper White cardstock and cut it out using the Stitched Shapes Framelits.

I then stamped the lemons in Daffodil Delight ink on Whisper White cardstock and fussy cut out the sliced lemon and used the punch for the whole lemon.  I also cut out some leaves using the punch from Old Olive cardstock.  Before adhering the lemons down, I tucked behind everything a small banner of Old Olive cardstock.

I stamped the inside with the second part of the sentiment in Old Olive ink and added a whole lemon too.

Enjoy!
