Lilypad Lake – Stamp it up with Jaimie

My card today starts off with Thick Whisper White cardstock. I took a smaller panel of Lovely Lipstick cardstock and embossed it using the Subtle Embossing Folder.

I stamped the sentiment from the Colorful Seasons stamp set in Call Me Clover ink. I also adhered down a piece of Black and Call Me Clover ribbon.

I cut out a Whisper White circle from the Stitched Shapes Dies. I stamped the images from the Lilypad Lake stamp set in Memento Black ink on a separate piece of Whisper White cardstock. I colored them in using Call Me Clover, Lovely Lipstick, and Pineapple Punch Stampin’ Blends Markers.

I cut them out using the Lakeside Dies, adhering the bird down with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I used one of the dies and Call Me Clover cardstock to cut out the little plant next to the bird.

Happy Monday!!!

How’s your week looking? I know most don’t like Mondays, but I sort of welcome them. It’s an opportunity to kick start the week right.

My kiddos are now home for summer vacation and I try and do something fun with them every day to stay busy – I call it Mommy Camp 🙂 Here’s to the first full week of summer vacation!

99% of the time I buy a stamp because I think it’s versatile and I can get a lot out of it.

However, sometimes I’m just drawn to a specific image.

But in the case of the Lilypad Lake (which I recently bought) it was the sentiments. As I created my card today I had a very specific person in mind and decided to keep the front sentiment-less and on the inside I stamped the “Thinking of you with loving thoughts and prayers.”

My card today starts off with Pool Party cardstock. I embossed it with (what I think is) my new favorite embossing folder – “Subtle.” I actually bought it because I couldn’t really see from the catalog what it was and now I LOVE it!!! It’s well…subtle, but is perfect for when you want a little texture, without anything really out there. Love, love, love!

I then wound around a Lovely Lipstick bow. Then I matted a panel of Bermuda Bay cardstock on Whisper White cardstock. I took another panel of Pool Party cardstock and used the Lakeside Framelits Dies to cut out a wave into it which I then matted on Whisper White cardstock.

Next I stamped the lilypads and crane from the Lilypad Lake Bundle in Stazon Black ink on Shimmery White cardstock. I used a Blender Pen and Bermuda Bay and Lovely Lipstick ink to color in the lilypads and Daffodil Delight ink for the crane and then cut them out with the coordinating framelits.
