Stampin’ Up! Making Christmas Bright Christmas Card

This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is a color challenge.  Happy hopping!

My card starts off with a Coastal Cabana which I layered with a pattern from the Let It Snow Designer Series Paper.

Next I took a panel of Whisper White cardstock and matted it on Real Red cardstock.  On it I stamped the circle from the Making Christmas Bright Stamp Set in Versamark ink, sprinkled it with Silver Embossing Powder, and heat set it.  Behind it I offset a piece of Silver Foil.

I stamped the light bulbs in Shaded Spruce, Real Red, and Coastal Cabana ink.  I cut them out and the silver holders using the Christmas Bulb Punch.

I strung a piece of Real Red Curly Ribbon and adhered the bulbs over it using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Making Christmas Bright Clean & Simple Card

As colorful and layered up as my cards can be sometimes…

I really do enjoy and appreciate simplicity.

White, vanilla, and touches of silver.  All clean.  All simple.

Today’s card highlights the simplicity of winter white colors for Christmas

My card starts off with Thick Whisper White cardstock.  Next I took a panel of Whisper White cardstock and stamped the circle from the Making Christmas Bright Stamp Set in Versamark ink.

I sprinkled it with Silver Embossing Powder and heat set it.  I then matted it on Very Vanilla cardstock and then again on Silver Foil.

Next I adhered down three lines of Silver Baker’s Twine.  I punched out lights using the Christmas Bulb Punch – the light is Very Vanilla and the top Silver Foil.  I adhered the lights down using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment in Versamark ink, sprinkled it with Silver Embossing Powder, and heat set it.  I adhered it down using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Enjoy!

My card today was inspired by challenges this week at TGIF Challenges and Freshly Made Sketches.

Stampin’ Up! Making Christmas Bright 2018

Come Christmas time I LOVE to decorate.  We usually get right to it the Saturday after Thanksgiving.

My favorite decoration is white Christmas lights tucked into boughs at night when it’s dark and with a few candles lit.  Just thinking about it makes my heart happy.

I wanted to recreate white Christmas lights, but had to figure out a way to do this since the Christmas lights from the Making Christmas Bright stamp set leaves the bulbs for you to color in.

So I made this card for last week’s Facebook Live Tutorial.  I do a tutorial every Wednesday night at 7:30 pm EST.

If you catch the video live and leave some sort of a comment, at the end I draw a name for someone to receive the card (blank of course).

So check out the Facebook Video Tutorial below to see how exactly I created white Christmas lights.  And if you ever miss any of my videos, you can check them all out on my YouTube channel.
