Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge #288

Happy Tuesday everyone!

I sure hope your week is going smoothly so far.  It seems as though we finally have spring here in Upstate New York.  Yesterday was filled with kids on their bikes, dirty feet, and ice cream.

I’m so excited to share with you the next Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge #288 as it screams spring!  I really hope you’ll hop over to see what the design team created for this challenge and I sure hope you’ll participate!

I first started off with Rich Razzleberry cardstock.  Next I took a pattern from the Wood Textures DSP and stamped the sentiment from the Perennial Birthday Stamp Set in Versamark ink.  I sprinkled it with white embossing powder and heat set it.

Next I took a panel of Whisper White cardstock and laid the Wood Textures panel over it.  I marked where it would get adhered with a pencil.  I then used the Perennial Birthday Stamp Set (which is carrying over into the 2018-2019 Annual Catalog – wahoo!) and stamped a variety of flowers in Memento Black ink all around that penciled line.  I colored the flowers in using Rich Razzleberry, Daffodil Delight, and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends Markers.

I adhered the Wood Textures DSP using Stampin’ Dimensionals and added Rich Razzleberry Pearls (from the Share What You Love Artisan – available June 1st) around the flowers.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Perennial Birthday – Blooms

Today is a real clean and simple card.

The best thing about this card is all you need is some paper, an ink pad (or two), and some markers.  And then if you want to “dress it up” a bit, you can add some fun embellishments.

I started off with Thick Whisper White cardstock. This is key if you plan on using Whisper White as your card base!  It stands up much better than the regular cardstock.  I then used the Perennial Birthday Stamp Set and stamped the various images across the bottom corner of the card in Memento Black Ink.  I colored the images in using Pink Pirouette, Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive, Pool Party, and Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends Markers.

I stamped the sentiment in Sweet Sugarplum ink from the Perennial Birthday Stamp Set and adhered it using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I added a Linen Thread bow and some clear epoxy shapes to finish it off.

Enjoy!

Today’s card was inspired by this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge!

Stampin’ Up! Perennial Birthday -Thank You

This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is a color challenge.  Happy hopping!

My oldest daughter, Emily, 11, has been part of Odyssey of the Mind for the second year in a row this school year.  They’re a great team and they always choose the problem with balsa wood.

They came in first place this past Saturday at the regionals competition and they’re on to States in about a month!

As a way to say thank you, I made this card for her coach.  Of course, I had to get a little wood on the card. 😉

My cards with Pool Party cardstock.  I took a panel of Soft Suede cardstock, embossed it using the Pinewood Planks embossing folder, and matted it on Whisper White cardstock.  I then took a panel of Whisper White cardstock and used the Perennial Birthday Stamp Set to stamp a “wreath” in Garden Green and Soft Suede ink.  I stamped the flowers in Pool Party ink on a separate piece of Whisper white cardstock (stamping off for the lighter shade flowers) and fussy cut them out, adhering a few with Stampin Dimensionals.

I cut out a small banner of Coffee Break DSP to adhere over the “wreath.”  I stamped the sentiment from the Thankful Thoughts stamp set in Soft Suede ink and adhered it over the banner using Stampin Dimensionals.  I wrapped around a Pool Party Baker’s Twine bow and adhered everything down.

Enjoy!
