Stampin’ Up! Simple Perfectly Plaid Christmas Card

Simple…

I do love simple.

This week’s team challenge for me was, well, very challenging.  I could get the Night of Navy and Old Olive colors on the card, but struggled with the Granny Apple Green.

So I decided to keep things really simple with this week’s team sketch challenge.

My card starts off with Thick Whisper White cardstock.  I then cut the Night of Navy cardstock on an angle and embossed it using the Winter Knit Embossing Folder.

I stamped the outer tree from the Perfectly Plaid Stamp Set in Old Olive ink and the inner tree in Granny Apple Green ink.

I cut it out using the Stitched Rectangles Dies and matted some Old Olive cardstock behind it.

Lastly I stamped the sentiment from the Itty Bitty Christmas Stamp Set in Night of Navy ink on Granny Apple Green cardstock.  I added an Old Olive rhinestone next to it.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Perfectly Plaid Christmas Card

This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is a color challenge.  Happy hopping!

My card starts off with Garden Green cardstock.  Next I took a panel of Real Red cardstock and stamped the “ho ho ho” from the Perfectly Plaid stamp set on it in Real Red ink.  I then matted it on Whisper White cardstock.

I stamped the sentiment from the Perfectly Plaid Stamp Set in Real Red ink on Whisper White cardstock and cut it out using the Stitched Nested Label Dies.  Across it I adhered a Real Red Glimmer banner.

Next I stamped the plaid tree in Garden Green ink on Whisper White cardstock and cut it out with the Pine Tree Punch.  I did this twice and layered one over the other.

Lastly I added a few Red Rhinestones to the side and a gold star for the top of the tree.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Perfectly Plaid Christmas Card

This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is a sketch challenge.  Happy hopping!

My card starts off with Shaded Spruce cardstock.  I then used the Pine Tree Punch and cut out a bunch of Shaded Spruce trees.  I adhered them across the card front and then trimmed the ones that hung over.

Next I matted a pattern from the Wrapped in Plaid Designer Series Paper on Gold Foil cardstock.

I took a panel of Night of Navy cardstock and used the Pine Tree Punch to punch a tree in it.  I adhered it over the DSP using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Lastly I stamped the sentiment from the Perfectly Plaid Stamp Set in Golden ink.
