Stampin’ Up! Lovely Lily Pad Happy Birthday Card

This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is a color challenge.  Happy hopping!

My card today starts off with Bermuda Bay cardstock.  I stamped the “water” image from the Lovely Lily Pad Stamp Set in Bermuda Bay ink.

Next I cut out a frame from Whisper White cardstock using the Stitched Rectangles Dies.

I used the Lovely Lily Pad Stamp Set in Lovely Lipstick ink (lilies) and Granny Apple Green (lily pad).  I used an Aqua Painter to pull the color out and fill the images.  I cut them out using the Lily Pad Dies.

Lastly I stamped the sentiment from the Itty Bitty Birthdays in Granny Apple Green ink.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Happy Birthday To You For You Card

This week at Hand Stamped Sentiments we have a new color challenge for you.

The colors are so fun and bright and we sure hope you’ll play along!!

My card starts off with Mint Macaron cardstock which I embossed using the Parisian Flourish Embossing Folder.

Next I used the Stitched So Sweetly Dies to cut out a scalloped rectangle from Whisper White cardstock.  I stamped the image from the Happy Birthday To You Stamp Set in Memento Black and colored the cake stand in using Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends Markers.

I stamped the same image on a separate piece of Whisper White cardstock and colored it in using Lovely Lipstick (flowers), Mint Macaron (leaves), and Ivory (cake) Stampin’ Blends Markers.  I fussy cut this out and adhered it down using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Happy Birthday To You Stamp Set in Versamark ink on Gorgeous Grape cardstock, sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder, and heat set it.  I cut it out with the same Stitched So Sweetly Dies.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Free Kerchief Card Kit

I’m all for designing cards from scratch.  I love the creative process of starting with white cardstock and going from there.

But it’s also nice to have a kit that is all designed and ready for assembly…and is just as beautiful.

Can it get any better?  Yes of course…when the kit is FREE!!!

Today’s cards are from the Kerchief Card Kit from the Sale-A-Bration Catalog and are free with a qualifying order of $50+.

It has two designs of cards featuring beautiful designer paper, sweet sentiments, and fun embellishments.  The kit includes four of each of the two designs, so you get eight pre-designed cards ready for quick and easy assembly.

This is a great kit to get during Sale-A-Bration through March 31st or while supplies last.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Painted Poppies A Little Something Card

Stampin’ Up!’s Designer Series Paper has always been a favorite of mine.

It makes card making really easy and let’s face it – the paper is beautiful!!

I put out a question on my Facebook page last weekend as to which combination of patterns to use from the Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper and the purple combination was the clear winner!

Today’s card starts off with Thick Whisper White cardstock.  I then took two patterns from the Peaceful Poppies DSP and matted it on Whisper White cardstock.

Next I used the Poppy Moments Dies to cut out a flower from Rich Razzleberry and Basic Black cardstock.  Next to it I used the Leaf Punch to cut out a few leaves from Old Olive cardstock.

I added a Rich Razzleberry banner underneath the DSP panel and stamped the sentiment form the Sending You Thoughts Stamp Set in Rich Razzleberry ink.

Enjoy!

Today’s card is part of this week’s new Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge.  It’s a great sketch with lots of layering, so be sure to play along with us this week!

Stampin’ Up! Small Bloom Punch Card

This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is a color challenge.  Happy hopping!

My card starts off with Thick Whisper White cardstock.

On the card front I stamped the small leaf multiple times from the Thoughtful Blooms Stamp Set in Versamark ink, sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder, and heat set it.

I used the Thoughtful Blooms Stamp Set and stamped one of the flowers in Versamark ink on Vellum cardstock.  I sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder and heat set it.  I did this multiple times and then used the Small Bloom Punch to cut them out, as well as a bunch of other flowers from Pool Party and Petal Pink cardstock.

I adhered these down cascading down the card.

I used the Christmas Cardinal Dies and cut out little swirls from Vellum cardstock to add around the flowers and then added some rhinestones to finish it off.

I stamped the sentiment from the Thoughtful Blooms Stamp Set in Versamark ink on Pool Party ink, sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder, and heat set it.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Lovely Lily Pad Card

This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is a sketch challenge.  Happy hopping!!

Last week I put on my Facebook a poll to get everyone’s opinion on what cardstock colors to use with the Lily Impressions DSP.  When I put the purples with it, all I saw was the blues and when I put the blues with it, all I saw was the purples.

So I decided to use Gorgeous Grape (a darker purple than I had put in the survey) with Pool Party.  The Lily Impressions DSP has so many beautiful colors in it though that honestly any color combination would work.

My card starts off with Gorgeous Grape cardstock.  Next I cut a panel of Pool Party cardstock and embossed it using the Subtle Embossing Folder.  Over that I adhered a pattern from the Lily Impressions Designer Series Paper.

Next I used the Lovely Lily Pad Stamp Set (free with a qualifying order during Sale-A-Bration) and stamped the lily in Highland Heather ink (stamping off for the solid image) and the leaf in Bermuda Bay ink (stamping off for the solid image).  I cut them out using the coordinating Lily Pad Dies, which is also a free item during Sale-A-Bration.

Unsure how Sale-A-Bration works?  Check out my post here.

Next I stamped the sentiment from A Little Lace Stamp Set in Bermuda Bay ink on Whisper White cardstock.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Parisian Beauty “Love” Card

This month’s Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop theme is “LOVE.  Have fun hopping around and seeing how everyone was inspired by the theme.

I decided to keep with a black and white card, with a hint of gold, using the new Parisian Beauty Bundle.

My card starts off with Thick Whisper White cardstock.  I then stamped the flower from the Forever Blossoms Stamp Set in Memento Black ink in the two corners, stamping off first for a lighter shade.

Next I adhered a pattern from the Golden Honey Designer Series Paper to the left of the card.

I used the coordinating Parisian Dies to cut out an Eiffel Tower from Basic Black cardstock.  To make sure the “amour” had a bigger impact, I cut three of them out of Gold Foil and adhered them over one another.

Lastly I added a few gold and black rhinestones around the card.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Heartfelt Valentine’s Day Card

This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is a color challenge.  Happy hopping!

For my card today I decided to combine some items from the Annual Catalog, January-June Mini Catalog, and Sale-A-Bration Catalog.

My card starts off with Real Red cardstock.  I thought the Lily Pad Dies sort of looked like hearts, so I cut out three of them, one from Real Red, Flirty Flamingo, and Whisper White cardstock.

Next I stamped the sentiment from the Heartfelt Stamp Set in Real Red ink.  I cut it out using the Stitched Be Mine Dies.

The die separates a stitched scalloped heart from a regular heart, but I wanted to use both, so I placed Stampin’ Dimensionals along the seam where the two meet in order to get them to stay connected.

I then added a Real Red bow next to the sentiment.

Enjoy!
