Stampin’ Up! Humming Along – HSS#309

My card today features the newest challenge over at Hand Stamp Sentiments
And it’s a beautiful color challenge – I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these colors together!

Be sure to play along this week with us!

My card starts off with Highland Heather cardstock which I embossed using the Lace embossing folder.

Next I cut out a pattern from the Floral Romance Designer Series Paper using the Rectangle Stitched Framelits and stamped the sentiment from the Humming Along Stamp Set in Memento Black ink.

Underneath the sentiment, I adhered a leaf I cut out of Pool Party cardstock using the Wonderful Floral Framelits.

Next I stamped the hummingbird from the Humming Along Stamp Set in Memento Black ink and used Soft Sea Foam, Pool Party, and Highland Heather Stampin’ Blends Markers to color him in.  I used the coordinating Hummingbird Framelits to cut him out and Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere him down.  I added a few rhinestones around for a little bling.

Enjoy!

PRODUCT LIST:

Stampin’ Up! Petal Passion Card “For My Friend”

This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is a sketch challenge.  Happy hopping!

I decided to interpret the sketch a little differently and instead of having a banner down the center, I started off with Basic Black cardstock and embossed the center of it using the Petal Pair Embossing Folder.

Next I cut down a pattern from the Petal Passion Designer Series Paper and colored it in using the Stampin Blends Markers.  I took a lot of inspiration from Patty Bennett as I would never have thought to use more than one color when coloring in a flower.  For example, the purple flower almost in the center is colored in using the Dark and Light Rich Razzleberry markers AND the Dark and Light Pink Pirouette markers.

I mounted the DSP on a panel of Rich Razzleberry and adhered it to the card front.  I stamped the sentiment from the Special Celebrations Stamp Set in Versamark Ink on a small piece of Basic Black cardstock, sprinkled it with white embossing powder, and heat set it.

For the inside I added another small panel of colored in Petal Passion DSP using the Stampin Blends Markers and then stamped the sentiment in Rich Razzleberry, also from the Special Celebrations Stamp Set.

Enjoy!
