Stampin’ Up! So Santa Christmas Card

I am having so much fun coloring with the Stampin’ Blends Markers.

I’ve always been really intimidated by water coloring, but using the Stampin’ Blends Markers makes coloring so easy and a lot of fun!

My card starts off with Poppy Parade cardstock.  Next I matted a panel of Soft Sea Foam cardstock which I embossed using the Simply Stripes embossing folder on Whisper White cardstock.

Before adhering it down, I wrapped around some Poppy Parade ribbon and tied a bow (to be adhered over the Whisper White).

I stamped the image from the So Santa Stamp Set in Memento Black ink on Whisper White cardstock.  I used Poppy Parade, Soft Sea Foam, Granny Apple Green, Daffodil Delight, Petal Pink and Ivory Stampin’ Blends Markers to color in the images.  I also used the Light Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends Marker to give Santa some rosy cheeks.

I matted this on a slightly larger panel of Whisper White cardstock and adhered it down using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Stampin’ Up! Country Home Thanks

Hello friends!

I love the product suites that Stampin’ Up! puts together in their catalogs.

It’s a combination of stamps, Designer Series Paper, ribbon, and embellishments that all coordinate together.  It’s a sure win that all the elements will look great today.  Makes card making so easy.

Today’s card uses the Country Lane Product Suite.

My card starts off with Old Olive cardstock which I covered with a pattern from the Country Lane DSP.  I then matted a panel of Old Olive cardstock on Whisper White cardstock.

I then stamped the images from the Country Home Stamp Set in Memento Black Ink on Whisper White cardstock.  I used the Blackberry Bliss, Old Olive, Cajun Craze, and Calypso Coral Stampin’ Blends Markers to color it in.  I cut it out using the Layering Ovals Framelits.

I cut down the Chicken Wire embellishment which went under the vase which I adhered down using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I then stamped the sentiment from the Country Home Stamp Set in Blackberry Bliss ink.

Enjoy!

Today’s card was inspired by this week’s TGIF Challenges.

Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Baubles Christmas Card

Let the Christmas card making begin!!

Yes it’s only September, but little by little, if we start now, they’ll get done in time. (Besides I LOVE Christmas card making.  I’d start in July if the Holiday Catalog was out then.)

Today’s card is one I did on my Facebook Live Video Tutorial last week.

I do a live tutorial every Wednesday night at 7:30 pm EST on my Facebook page.  If you catch it live and leave a comment of some sort, at the end I draw a name for someone to receive that night’s card (blank of course).

For this particular card, I made two similar ones – the green and red one as a very traditional Christmas card and another one in less traditional colors, red and light blue.  I let the viewers decide which one I would make for them live.

Although they chose the traditional red and green card, the red and blue one uses the same components and could easily be replicated.

For a look at how I made this card, watch the video below.  If you ever miss any of my videos, you can check them out on my YouTube channel.

Happy Wednesday everyone!

My card today starts off with Early Espresso cardstock.  I then matted a panel of Whisper White cardstock on Pumpkin Pie cardstock.  Before adhering down a Bermuda Bay pattern from the Brights 6×6 Designer Series Paper, I stamped a few sprigs of leaves in Bermuda Bay ink on the Whisper White cardstock.

Next I stamped the sentiment from the Floral Frames Stamp Set in Bermuda Bay ink and cut it out with a frame from the Foliage Frame Thinlits.

I then cut out a bunch of leaves in Bermuda Bay, Early Espresso, and Pumpkin Pie cardstock using the same Foliage Frame Thinlits.

I stamped the flowers in Pumpkin Pie ink and cut then out with the same thinlits.  Lastly, I added a few pearls around the images.

Stampin’ Up! Love You To Pieces Card – HSS298

We have a fun sketch challenge for you this week at Hand Stamped Sentiments. Be sure to head over and participate!

My card starts off with Coastal Cabana cardstock. I then adhered a Soft Sea Foam pattern from the Subtles Designer Series Paper pack.

I then matted Whisper White cardstock on Balmy Blue cardstock matted again on Whisper White cardstock. What can I say – I love matting.

Using the Puzzle Pieces Thinlits, I cut out the big puzzle four times from Coastal Cabana, Balmy Blue, Pool Party, and Soft Sea Foam cardstock. I then took pieces from all four colors to create a colorful puzzle.

Lastly, I used the Love You To Pieces stamp set to stamp the puzzle pieces in Balmy Blue and Soft Sea Foam ink.

Underneath the puzzle pieces I cut a vellum scalloped circle using the Layering Circles Framelits and also adhered a piece of Polka Dot Ribbon and Coastal Cabana ribbon.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Falling For Leaves Note Cards

I don’t usually make square cards.  In fact, I can count on my right hand how many I’ve made.

However, I thought I’d make some small thank you note cards.  I figured I’d make them 4-1/4″ x 4-1/4″ so they could still fit in the standard envelope.

But then I couldn’t decide what color combination to use…so I did one of each 🙂  Which one is your favorite?

I started off with one color as the base to the card, cutting it 4-1/4″ x 4-1/4″.

I then matted another color on Whisper White to adhere to the card front.  I stamped the sentiment from the Falling For Leaves Stamp Set in Versamark ink, sprinkled it with white embossing powder, and heat set it.

I then used the Detailed Leaves Thinlits to cut out the detailed leaf in another color and  a Whisper White leaf to mat it on.   I also cut out a scalloped detail using the same thinlits.

Here’s a picture of all three cards today.  I really love how they came out- simple, but pretty.

Enjoy!

Today’s card was inspired by this week’s challenges at Freshly Made Sketches and The Paper Players.

Stampin’ Up! Making Christmas Bright 2018

Come Christmas time I LOVE to decorate.  We usually get right to it the Saturday after Thanksgiving.

My favorite decoration is white Christmas lights tucked into boughs at night when it’s dark and with a few candles lit.  Just thinking about it makes my heart happy.

I wanted to recreate white Christmas lights, but had to figure out a way to do this since the Christmas lights from the Making Christmas Bright stamp set leaves the bulbs for you to color in.

So I made this card for last week’s Facebook Live Tutorial.  I do a tutorial every Wednesday night at 7:30 pm EST.

If you catch the video live and leave some sort of a comment, at the end I draw a name for someone to receive the card (blank of course).

So check out the Facebook Video Tutorial below to see how exactly I created white Christmas lights.  And if you ever miss any of my videos, you can check them all out on my YouTube channel.

Stampin’ Up! Painted Harvest & Another Wonderful Year Card

This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is a color challenge.  Happy hopping!

This color combination made me think of fall, so I pulled out a beloved stamp set that I haven’t used in a while – Painted Harvest – and paired it with a stamp set full of really great sentiments – Another Wonderful Year.

My card starts off with Early Espresso cardstock.  I then matted a pattern from the Country Lane Designer Series Paper on Whisper White cardstock and adhered it to the right upper corner.

Next I cut a panel of Whisper White cardstock on a diagonal and stamped the stitched edge from the Swirly Frames Stamp Set in Early Espresso around it.

I used Crushed Curry, Mint Macaron, and Early Espresso ink and the Painted Harvest stamp set to create my sunflower.  I used the masking technique to get the leaves to be behind the flower.

Lastly, I stamped the sentiment from the Another Wonderful Year stamp set in Early Espresso ink on Mint Macaron cardstock.

Enjoy!

Today’s card was inspired by this week’s Sunday Stamps Challenge.
