Stampin’ Up! Stitched Triangles Birthday Card

I just LOVE the Stitched Triangles Dies.

(Well, I just about love every die.)
But the triangles are such a fun shape to work with – and they’re perfect to fill an empty space.

For my color choice I was inspired by our new color challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments.  I sure hope you’ll play along these next two weeks!

My card starts off with Coastal Cabana cardstock which I embossed using the Subtle Embossing Folder.

I took a panel of Whisper White cardstock and matted it on Magenta Madness cardstock.  In the corner I stamped the sentiment from the Itty Bitty Birthdays Stamp Set in Magenta Madness ink.

I then used the Stitched Triangles Dies to cut out triangles from Magenta Madness, Coastal Cabana, and Bumblebee cardstock.  I used the same dies to cut out a banner from Bumblebee cardstock to layer over one of the triangles.

Lastly, I added a Magenta Madness enamel dot.

Thanks for checking out my project today!

Today’s card was inspired by this week’s Fab Friday challenge.

Stampin’ Up! Long and Slim In The Pines Card

I usually stick to traditional cards.
Sometimes I’ll vary and make square cards, sometimes note cards, but if anything, I go smaller.

For today I did my very first long and slim card and I love how it came out!

My card starts off with Mossy Meadow cardstock, on which I adhered a pattern from the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper.  The card base measures 7 x 8-1/2, scored at 3-1/2.

On a panel of Whisper White cardstock I stamped the trees in Mossy Meadow from the In The Pines Stamp Set.  I stamped off first for the lighter shade of green.  I stamped the sentiment from the Wrapped in Christmas Stamp Set in Versamark ink, sprinkled it with Gold Embossing Powder, and heat set it.

Both stamp sets are available beginning Aug 4th!

I then matted this on a panel of Gold Foil.  I wrapped around some Gold ribbon in a knot, tying a Gold thread bow in the knot.

PS – I LOVE this gold thread.  It has a lot of “oomph” (technical term) and holds a great bow!  Get a sampling of it in my Product Share – last day to order one!

Thanks for checking out my project today!

Today’s card was inspired by this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

Stampin’ Up! Jolly Holly Christmas Card

Who’s excited it’s Friday!!!

I have a full weekend but am still hoping to get some stamping/me time in – how about you?

My card starts off with Shaded Spruce cardstock.  I then took a panel of Whisper White cardstock and stamped the outside with the holly image from the Jolly Holly Stamp Set in Memento Black ink.  I stamped the inside images in Shaded Spruce for the holly and Real Red ink for the berries.

I then matted this on Real Red cardstock.

Next I used the Shaded Spruce ribbon from the Wonder of the Season Ribbon Pack and folded it over itself.

I stamped the sentiment from the Jolly Holly in Real Red ink and cut it out using the Stitched So Sweetly Dies.

Lastly I added a few Red Rhinestones next to the sentiment.

Thanks for checking out today’s project!!

Stampin’ Up! Nothing’s Better Than Coffee Card

This year, believe it or not, we have decided to homeschool our kids…
Any homeschoolers out there?

I swore I’d never do it…and here I am in full on prep mode.

I have a dear friend who’s in the same boat so I decided to make her this card.  We’re both going to need lots of coffee…and Jesus!

My card starts off with Petal Pink cardstock.  I then took a pattern from the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper and matted it on Whisper White cardstock.

I used the Painted Labels Dies to cut out a label from Gray Granite and Whisper White cardstock.  On the Whisper White one, I stamped the sentiments from the Nothing’s Better Than Stamp Set in Gray Granite ink and adhered it over the other using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I used the coordinating Love You More Than Dies to cut out three “coffee” sentiments from Petal Pink cardstock and adhered them one over the other.

I stamped the coffee mugs in Gray Granite ink and the inside image in Petal Pink ink (stamping off first for a softer look) and cut them out with the same coordinating dies.  Lastly, I added a few Champagne Rhinestones.

Thanks for checking out my project today!

Stampin’ Up! Beautiful World – Peace on Earth Christmas Card

Finding inspiration from the catalogs and what Stampin’ Up! makes creating easy.

In the Aug-Dec Mini Catalog I saw how Stampin’ Up! combined the Beautiful World Bundle with the Christmas sentiment Peace on Earth and I thought it was so clever.

I’ve also seen a number of demos water color the globe and wanted to try my hand at it.

My card starts off with Thick Whisper White cardstock.  I embossed a front panel of the same size using the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder.

I then took a panel of Watercolor Paper and did a watercolor wash using Pacific Point ink.  I cut it out, as well as a globe from Old Olive cardstock and stand from Basic Black cardstock using the World Map Dies.

I stamped the sentiment from the Wrapped in Christmas Stamp Set in Memento Black ink and I snipped the ends in a banner.

The Wrapped in Christmas Stamp Set will be available beginning Aug 4th.

Lastly I used the Stitched Be Mine Dies to cut out a scalloped Old Olive touch for under the sentiment.

Thanks for checking out today’s project!

Today’s card was inspired by this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

Stampin’ Up! Birds & Branches Friendship Card

The Birds & Branches Bundle is so sweet and fun to play with.

Using this bundle I’ve made a card using the stamped images.  I’ve also made a card using the die images.  And today I’m using a combination of both.

My card starts off with Crumb Cake cardstock.  I then took a panel of Balmy Blue cardstock and embossed it using the Subtle Embossing Folder.  I matted this on Whisper White cardstock and offset some Soft Suede cardstock underneath it.

I first stamped the two birds from the Birds & Branches Stamp Set in Memento Black ink.  Over that I stamped the other bird image over it in Daffodil Delight.  I also stamped feet for each of the birds in Memento Black ink.  I cut these images out and a Soft Suede branch using the Birds & More Dies.

I wrapped some Linen Thread around this in a bow.  I then stamped the sentiment from the Free As a Bird Stamp Set in Soft Suede ink.  I cut it out using the Tasteful Labels Dies.  I adhered this and the birds down using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Thanks for checking out my project today!

Stampin’ Up! NEW Peaceful Nativity Card

This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is a sketch challenge.  Happy hopping!

My card today starts off with Crumb Cake cardstock.  I then took a shorter panel of it and embossed it using the Subtle Embossing Folder.

I then stamped the sentiment from the For Unto Us Stamp Set in Soft Suede ink on Whisper White cardstock and adhered it to the bottom of the card.  I covered the seam with some ribbon from the Forever Greenery Trim.

I stamped the images from the Peaceful Nativity Stamp Set in Memento Black ink on Whisper White cardstock and after I colored them cut them out using the Nativity Dies, adhering them down using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I colored it in using the Soft Suede (manger), Crumb Cake (manger), Balmy Blue (light for Mary’s head piece and dark for her dress), Mossy Meadow (Joseph’s cloke), Gray Granite (donkey and a little on lamb), Ivory (skin), and Bronze (hair) Stampin’ Blends Markers.
