Stampin’ Up! A Good Man Card

This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is a color challenge.  Happy hopping!!

My card today starts off with Night of Navy cardstock which I embossed using the Pinewood Planks Embossing Folder.

I took a pattern from the Come Sail Away Designer Series Paper and matted it on Whisper White cardstock.

I used the Stitched Nested Label Dies to cut out a piece from Whisper White cardstock.  I stamped the image from the A Good Man stamp set on it in Memento Black ink.  I colored it in using Soft Suede (shorts), Balmy Blue (shirt), Night of Navy (hat), and Ivory (skin) Stampin’ Blends Markers.

I stamped the sentiment from the A Good Man Stamp Set in Night of Navy ink over the Come Sail Away Pattern.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! NEW Beauty & Joy Thank You Card

Today’s card features another new stamp set from the 2019 Holiday Catalog.

It’s the beautiful Beauty & Joy Stamp Set which is perfect for both fall and winter crafting.

My card starts off with Pretty Peacock cardstock.  I cut down the card front to measuring 2″ x 4-1/5″ and then cut another piece of Pretty Peacock cardstock measuring the same.  I layered over each piece a pattern from the Woven Threads DSP.

I cut out a panel of Whisper White cardstock using the Stitched Nested Label Dies.  I used the Beauty & Joy Stamp Set and stamped the flower pot in Pretty Peacock ink, the trunk in Early Espresso ink, and the leaves in Crushed Curry ink on it.  I wrapped a Linen Thread bow around it and adhered each end over the Pretty Peacock panels using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Finally I stamped the sentiment from the Free As A Bird Stamp Set in Versamark ink, sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder, and heat set it.  For the inside I matted a panel of Crushed Curry cardstock on Whisper White cardstock.

Enjoy!

Today’s card was inspired by this week’s Sunday Stamps challenge.

Stampin’ Up! NEW Harvest Hellos Card

The 2019 Holiday Catalog is pretty amazing!!!

One of the perks of being a demo is being able to order from it early.  Today’s card uses one of the new bundles, Harvest Hellos.

This is a great bundle that pairs a stamp set with a punch.  They both double for apples and pumpkins.

My card starts off with Poppy Parade cardstock.  I took a panel of Whisper White cardstock and stamped the apple in Memento Black ink on the top and the seeds around it.  I stamped the cut apple on a separate piece of Whisper White cardstock.

I used Poppy Parade (apples), Petal Pink (cut apple), Granny Apple Green (leaf), Crumb Cake (stem), Basic Black (seeds) Stampin’ Blends Markers to color them in.  I used the Apple Builder Punch to cut the sliced apple out.

On the bottom of the card I adhered a Poppy Parade pattern of Designer Series Paper.  I wrapped around a Linen Thread bow around it.

I stamped the sentiment from the Itty Bitty Birthdays Stamp Set in Versamark ink on Basic Black cardstock.  I sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder and heat set it.

Enjoy!

Today’s card was inspired by this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

Stampin’ Up! NEW Technique Part 2

On Wednesday I shared a card that used a really cool technique that I completely accidentally stumbled upon.

I decided to try the same technique and change up the colors.

First up, I used Seaside Spray and Night of Navy on my technique and added Gray Granite to the overall card.

I used the To A Wild Rose stamp set for the sentiment and Stitched Nested Labels Dies to cut it out and then the Very Versailles Stamp Set for the stamped image and the Wild Rose Dies for extra detail.

Next I tried my technique using Pear Pizzazz and Mint Macaron colors.

I again used the To A Wild Rose Stamp Set for the sentiment and the Wild Rose Dies to cut it out, as well as for some extra detail.  I brought in a Garden Lane Designer Series Paper pattern to bring out both colors.

For a detailed look on how to create this technique, check out my YouTube tutorial on it here.

Stampin’ Up! A Little Lace Card

This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is a sketch challenge.  Happy hopping!

My card starts off with Thick Whisper White cardstock.  I then used the Stitched Lace Dies to cut out a beautiful piece of paper lace from Whisper White cardstock.

Next I took a panel of Terracotta Tile cardstock and stamped the image from the A Little Lace Stamp Set over it four times in Versamark ink.  I sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder and heat set it.  Under this I adhered down a piece of Gray Granite cardstock.

I cut out a Whisper White circle using the Stitched Shapes Framelits and stamped the sentiment from the Country Home Stamp Set on it in Terracotta Tile ink.

Underneath the sentiment I added a piece of Gray Granite ribbon and also added a Terracotta Tile Faceted Gem next to the sentiment.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Painted Harvest Wreath Card

This month’s Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop theme is “Fall Frenzy.”  Have fun hopping through the different blogs to see how everyone interpreted it.

The colors for today’s card were inspired by the new Hand Stamped Sentiment color challenge.  It’s a fun one so be sure to play along!

Just a heads up: I must’ve read the challenge quickly and used Sahara Sand instead of Soft Suede.  Oops.

My card starts off with Cherry Cobbler cardstock.  I then layered Whisper White cardstock on Sahara Sand cardstock.

Next I used the Leaf Punch and cut out a whole bunch of leaves from Pretty Peacock, Cherry Cobbler, and Sahara Sand cardstock and arranged them as a wreath.  I stamped the sentiment from the Painted Harvest Stamp Set in Pretty Peacock ink.

Lastly I added a few Pretty Peacock Faceted Dots and a Linen Thread bow.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! It Starts with Art Card

Happy Monday everyone!!

One of the very first things that attracted me to Stampin’ Up! was their Designer Series Paper.

It is high quality paper that has both graphic and patterned designs.  What I love about it is Stampin’ Up! always notes what the coordinating colors on it are so it’s easy to match up solid cardstock with it.

Today I’ve used the Follow Your Art Designer Series Paper.

My card starts off with Coastal Cabana cardstock.  I then took two patterns from the Follow You Art Designer Series paper, matted one on Pacific Point cardstock and the other on Whisper White cardstock.

I stamped the pencil/marker image from the It Starts with Art Stamp Set in Pacific Point ink on Pacific Point cardstock.  I stamped the sentiment in Pacific Point ink right under it.

I used the Arts & Crafts Dies to cut out three buttons from Blushing Bride, Calypso Coral, and Coastal Cabana cardstock.  I stamped the binder clip in Coastal Cabana ink and cut it out with the same dies.

Enjoy!

Today’s card was inspired by this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

Stampin’ Up! Good Morning Magnolia Stampin’ Blends Card

Last week I had a stamp party.

As I was putting things away I had all the ink pads stacked on one another and I loved the color combination, so I decided to use them together in a card.

I also gave a tip on my Facebook page the other day using today’s card when it comes to Stampin’ Blends Markers.

The tip was to not just use one color of Stampin’ Blends Markers, but to bring in a darker shade of a similar color to add low lights.  In today’s card I mostly used Petal Pink to color in the petals, but added hints of Poppy Parade to add a darker shade.

My card starts off with Night of Navy cardstock which I embossed using the Tin Tile Embossing Folder.

I adhered a panel of Pool Party cardstock on Whisper White cardstock.  I stamped the sentiment from the Good Morning Magnolia in Night of Navy ink in the bottom corner.

I stamped the large flower from the Good Morning Magnolia Stamp Set in Memento Black ink on Whisper White cardstock.  I colored it in using Petal Pink, Poppy Parade, Granny Apple Green, and Pool Party (to color around the flower) Stampin’ Blends Markers to color it in.  I cut it out using the Magnolia Memory Dies.

I cut out two leaves from Granny Apple Green cardstock using the same dies and tied a knot over it using Denim Ribbon.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Challenging Colors Abstract Impressions Card

This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is a color challenge…and boy did I find it challenging.  Happy hopping!

My card starts off with Blushing Bride cardstock which I embossed using the Brick & Mortar 3D Embossing Folder.

Be sure to use the new 3D Embossing Folder Plate so that you get a good impression.

I cut out a Whisper White rectangle using the Rectangle Stitched Dies.  I used the Abstract Impressions Stamp to create my scene.  I stamped the flowers in Blushing Bride ink, stems in Garden Green ink, and butterfly in Crushed Curry ink.  I stamped off first for the lighter shade of each color.

I stamped the flowers agan on a separate piece of Whisper White cardstock and fussy cut out a few of them to adhere down using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Abstract Impressions Stamp Set in Garden Green ink and added a Mini Library Clip on it.

Enjoy!
