Stampin’ Up! By The Dock Watercolor Card

This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is a sketch challenge.  Happy hopping!

My card starts off with Coastal Cabana cardstock.

I took a panel of Watercolor Paper and generously applied water using an Aqua Painter.  I added one layer of Coastal Cabana ink to it using the Aqua Painter, dried it with the Heat Tool, wet the paper again, and added more color.

By adding color, drying it, and adding more color, you get a nice layered look of color.

I then offset a panel of Soft Suede cardstock underneath it.

I then stamped the dock and birds in Soft Suede ink and boat in Early Espresso ink on Watercolor Paper.  I used my Aqua Painter, not too wet, to pull color out from the stamped image.  I cut these out using the coordinating Dockside Dies.

I also added a little Daffodil Delight ink to the bellies of the birds.

I then stamped the sentiment from the By The Dock Stamp Set in Early Espresso ink on a Crumb Cake banner.  I adhered all the images down using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Honey Bee Card Video Tutorial

I just love the Honey Bee Bundle and since seeing it had the idea of stamping the sentiment opposite each other.

So I decided to give it a try last week in my Live Tutorial.
I started off with the one with a Basic Black cardstock base, but for the live wanted to try the same design with a Daffodil Delight cardstock base.

To give a little background to the bee I used a Sponge Dauber to add a little Daffodil Delight coloring.  So be sure to let me know which one you like more, the Basic Black or Daffodil Delight.

I’ll be back tonight on my Facebook page at 7:30 pm EST with a new live card tutorial, this time using the Timeless Tropical Bundle.  Be sure to join me live as you might just receive tonight’s card.

If you ever miss a tutorial, you can check them out on my YouTube page.

Stampin’ Up! My Meadow Hello Card

We all have that “one” color we stay away from.
You know the one I’m talking about.

The one that makes you cringe when you have to use it.

My color is yellow…I never use it.
But I love it in today’s card!!!

My card starts off with Daffodil Delight cardstock.  I then cut a panel of Whisper White cardstock and adhered a panel of Vellum cardstock of the same size over it.

I then stamped the images from the My Meadow Stamp Set ink on Whisper White cardstock – Memento Black (wheelbarrow), Gray Granite (wheelbarrow), Call Me Clover (grass, leaves), Daffodil Delight (flowers).  I stamped the sentiment from the Honey Bee Stamp Set in the corner.

I then cut this out using the Stitched Shapes Dies.  Under it I cut a Whisper White banner and a Daffodil Delight pattern from the Brights Designer Series Paper strip.

Enjoy!

Today’s card was inspired by this week’s Fab Friday Challenge.

I love a fun witty sentiment, so I took out the Witty-Cisms Stamp Set for today’s card.

I next stamped the image from the Witty-Cisms Stamp Set in Memento Black ink on Whisper White cardstock.  I colored it in using Poppy Parade and Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Write Markers and cut it out using the Stitched Shapes Dies.

I cut out a Basic Black scalloped circle using the Layering Circles Dies to adhere under it using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I then cut a strip of Basic Black cardstock and a Poppy Parade Pattern from the Brights Designer Series Paper to go under it.  I used the Painted Labels Dies to cut out a Whisper White edge as well.

Stampin’ Up! Sailing Home Thanks Card

This past weekend my family and I visited family in Montreal, Canada.

We ended up staying one more day until Monday, which meant my card for Monday morning never happened because I didn’t bring my laptop with me.

So needless to say, today’s card was meant for Monday and would’ve been a part of this sketch challenge (so you can see my inspiration).

My card starts off with Crumb Cake cardstock.  I next took a pattern from the Come Sail Away Designer Series Paper and matted it on Night of Navy cardstock.  Around that I wound some Night of Navy/Sahara Sand Baker’s Twine into a knot.

Next I used the Stitched Rectangles Dies to cut out a piece of Night of Navy cardstock.   To the side I stamped the birds from the Sailing Home Stamp Set in Night of Navy ink.

On a separate piece of Whisper White cardstock I stamped the sailboat and sentiment in Night of Navy ink and cut them out using the coordinating Smooth Sailing Dies, which I adhered down using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Enjoy!

I next took a panel of Whisper White cardstock and stamped the raindrops on it in Mint Macaron ink and then matted it on Basic Black cardstock.

I cut the umbrella and handle out using the Umbrella Builder Punch and fussy cut out the flowers, cascading them down from the umbrella.

Lastly I stamped the sentiment from the Under My Umbrella Stamp Set in Versamark ink on Basic Black cardstock, sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder, and heat set it.  I then cut it out with the Stitched So Sweetly Dies.

Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Friendship Birthday Card

I love creating cards with specific people in mind.
It means I can customize them specifically to that person’s likes and personality.

Today’s card is one I created for a dear friend’s birthday.  She loves bright pink, flowers, and bling…this is what I created…

My card starts off with Lovely Lipstick cardstock.  I then took a panel of Whisper White cardstock and stamped the flowers from the To A Wild Rose in Lovely Lipstick ink (stamping off for the lighter shade) and the leaves around it in Mossy Meadow ink (stamping off for the lighter shade).

I did the same on a separate piece of Whisper White cardstock and cut it out using the Wild Rose Dies.  I adhered it down using Stampin’ Dimensionals and then stamped the sentiment from the To A Wild Rose Stamp Set next to it in Lovely Lipstick ink.

I matted this on Vellum and tied a Lovely Lipstick ribbon next to the flowers.  Lastly, I added a few rhinestones.

Enjoy!
