Stampin’ Up! Birch & To A Wild Rose Bundle Card Video Tutorial

Today is Wednesday and you know what that means…
Tonight is my Live Video Tutorial!

Today’s card is the one I made last week.

It features what you might think is paper, but is the new Birch Background Stamp, as well as the To A Wild Rose Bundle.  It primarily uses the new 2019-2021 In-Color, Rococo Rose, with hints of Mint Macaron and Sahara Sand.

I’ll be back tonight with another Live Tutorial on my Facebook page at 7:30 pm EST.  If you catch it live and leave a comment, at the end I’ll draw a name for someone to receive tonight’s card.

If you’ve missed a tutorial, you can see them all on my YouTube Channel.

To see how I made today’s card, check out the video below:

Stampin’ Up! Pressed Petals Card – HSS 317

We have a fun new sketch challenge for you at Hand Stamped Sentiments.
It’s packed with layering and subtle details.

I sure hope you’ll join us and play along this week!

My card starts with Crumb Cake cardstock which I embossed using the Subtle Embossing Folder.

I next took two patterns from the Pressed Petals Designer Series Paper and matted one on Merry Merlot cardstock and the other on Pear Pizzazz cardstock.  Around the one pattern I wound around a piece of Rococo Rose ribbon.

I also added a few pearls to the other pattern of DSP.  I cut out a fun label from the Wild Rose Dies out of Very Vanilla cardstock and stamped the sentiment from the Colorful Seasons Stamp Set in Merry Merlot ink, adhering it down using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Happy Tails Bereavement Card

I recently had a friend request a very specific card.
A friend of her’s dog recently passed away and she needed a card.

Ironically enough I had *just* (literally within two days) received the Happy Tails Stamp Set and Dog Builder Punch which was perfect!

My card starts off with Crumb Cake cardstock.  I next took a panel of Whisper White cardstock and matted it on Early Espresso cardstock.

I stamped the sentiment and solid image of the dog house in Real Red ink.  Over the dog house I stamped the lined image in Early Espresso ink.

I stamped the dog image in Early Espresso ink on Crumb Cake cardstock and cut it out using the Dog Builder Punch.  I used the same punch to cut out a heart which I adhered down using a Mini Dimensional.  I adhered the dog with using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Lastly I stamped the paw prints in Early Espresso ink and wound around a Linen Thread bow.

On the inside I stamped the bone image in Crumb Cake ink (stamped off) and then the sentiment in Early Espresso ink over it.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Good Morning Magnolia Embossed Flower

I recently saw a card made by another demo from Australia, Teneale Williams, and I was so inspired by it.  I loved all the layering and texture in it.

So I decided to CASE (copy and selectively edit) the card.

My card starts off with Rococo Rose cardstock.  Next I took a panel of Sahara Sand cardstock and embossed it using the Lace Embossing Folder and then matted it on Whisper White cardstock.

Next I took a Rococo Rose pattern from the 2019-2021 In Color Designer Series Paper and roughed up the edge of it using my Paper Snips.  I ran the snips on the side of it and then bent in the corners a little bit.

Next I stamped the image from the Good Morning Magnolia Stamp Set in Versamark ink, sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder, and heat set it.  I cut it out using the coordinating Magnolia Memory Dies.

Lastly I stamped the sentiment from the Varied Vases Stamp Set in Rococo Rose ink, adhering it down with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Come Sail Away Water Wash Background

This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is a color challenge.  Happy hopping!

My card starts off with Pretty Peacock cardstock.   I then took a panel of Shimmery White cardstock and squeezed water all over it using an Aqua Painter.  I then added color to it in layers.

Using the Aqua Painter I first put Pretty Peacock ink in the middle of it.  Then I added Blueberry Bushel to two corners and Old Olive to the other two.  I dried it with the Heat Tool and repeated this.

In doing this a few times, you get deeper colors, as well as different water marks on your paper.  I then matted this on Blueberry Bushel cardstock.

I used the Sailing Home Stamp Set and stamped the anchor and “thanks” in Blueberry Bushel ink.  I cut them out, as well as the Old Olive label and Pretty Peacock seaweed using the coordinating Smooth Sailing Dies.

Lastly I cut the edge off the Pretty Peacock Scalloped Ribbon and adhered it under the label and wound some Blueberry Bushel ribbon in the anchor.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! My (now) 11-year-old’s birthday card

This month’s Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog hop theme is “birthday”.

I knew right away that I was going to use my son’s 11-year-old birthday card for the challenge.
We have a tradition in our house where I decorate the house in streamers and balloons the night before my kids’ birthdays, so when they wake up, the house is all decorated.

This year I picked out the colors I wanted to decorate in and then made the card around it.
We also have a tradition where I tape the birthday number on the wall.

Here’s the card I made for my son. He turned 11 which can be a tricky age as they’re not little kids anymore, but not quite teens, so I went with a clean, simple, bright card.

The card starts off with Pacific Point cardstock which I embossed using the Simple Stripes Embossing Folder.

Next I cut strips of Granny Apple Green, Call Me Clover, Pacific Point, Blueberry Bushel, and Night of Navy cardstock.

I stamped the different birthday sentiments from the Itty Bitty Birthdays Stamp Set on the different colors, sprinkled them with White Embossing Powder, and heat set it.  I then matted this on Whisper White cardstock and adhered it down using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Forever Lovely CASE from the Annual Catalog

There’s a card on page 81 of the Annual Catalog that caught my eye immediately.

First, I thought it was just beautiful…
Then I wondered how in the world did they make it.

So I can be a little stubborn and was determined to make it work, but what I found was the Stamparatus was KEY!!!

My card starts off with Highland Heather cardstock.  I first took a panel of Purple Posy cardstock and used the Lovely Flowers Dies to cut out both sides.

I then cut a panel of Whisper White cardstock and put it on the Stamparatus using the magnets.  Next I taped down the Purple Posy piece over it with Washi Tape.  I laid the stamp from the Forever Lovely Stamp Set over the cutout until it was perfectly aligned and picked it up with won of the plastic hinges.

I then inked up the flower image in Highland Heather ink, removed the Purple Posy paper, and stamped it on the Whisper White cardstock.  I did the same thing for the top die cut.  I then stamped the leaf image from the Forever Lovely Stamp Set over the Highland Heather flowers in Granny Apple Green ink.  I adhered the Purple Posy cardstock over the Whisper White using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Lastly I used the Well Written Dies to cut out the “friend” and I wound around some Whisper White Polka Dot Ribbon.

Enjoy!

Today’s card was inspired by this week’s Sunday Stamps Challenge.

Stampin’ Up! 3D Magnolia Flower Card

This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is a sketch challenge.  Happy hopping!

My card today starts off with Mossy Meadow cardstock which I layered with a pattern from the Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper.

Next I cut a panel of Basic Black cardstock in a banner.  I stamped the sentiment from the Good Morning Magnolia Stamp Set in Versamark ink on it, sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder, and heat set it.

Next I used the GORGEOUS Magnolia Memory Dies to create a 3D magnolia.  I cut out two of the larger petal and one each the medium and small petals.  I used a dauber and Daffodil Delight ink to add a yellow highlight to the center.  I then cut out the center of the flower from Basic Black cardstock.

I used the same dies to cut out four leaves from Mossy Meadow cardstock to adhere under the magnolia.  Lastly I wound around some Silver Thread under the magnolia and added a few rhinestones around it.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Tropical Chic Card

This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is a color challenge.  Happy hopping!

My card starts off with Thick Whisper White cardstock.  I then measured a top and bottom piece of Coastal Cabana cardstock which I embossed using the Corrugated Embossing Folder.

In the space I stamped the sentiment from the Tropical Chic Stamp Set in Coastal Cabana ink and added a few Granny Apple Green Enamel Dots.

I used the Tropical Chic Bundle to first cut out a Daffodil Delight leaf.  For another leaf I stamped the image in Versamark ink on Daffodil Delight cardstock, sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder, and heat set it.  For the bigger leaf, I used the Stamparatus.  I first inked it up in Granny Apple Green ink and then dabbed the edges of it in Coastal Cabana ink.

I wound around some Silver Thread over the leaves.  I also folded over some Coastal Cabana/Granny Apple Green ribbon which I secured using Whisper White Baker’s Twine.  I added a Coastal Cabana enamel dot over the fold.

Enjoy!
