Stampin’ Up! Celebrate Sunflowers Blank Card

Sunflowers and plaid…yes please!!

Looking at this card, I can almost feel fall in the air….well, that is if it wasn’t still hotter than anything out there.

My card starts off with Cajun Craze cardstock.  I then adhered over it a plaid pattern from the Plaid Tidings Designer Series Paper.  I then matted a pattern from the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper on Cajun Craze cardstock.

I stamped the sunflower from the Celebrate Sunflowers Stamp Set in Memento Black ink.  I colored it in using Mango Melody and Pumpkin Pin (sunflower), Old Olive (leaves), Soft Suede (center) Stampin’ Blends Markers and cut it out with the coordinating Sunflowers Dies.

I used the same dies to cut out sprigs from Pretty Peacock cardstock and leaves from Old Olive cardstock.  Underneath the flower I wound around some Gold Thread and adhered it over a Gold Hoop.

I couldn’t decide where to place the sentiment, so I ended up leaving the front blank and just adding a thank you sentiment to the inside.

Thanks for checking out my project today!

Stampin’ Up! Spritzed Celebrate Sunflowers Card

I tend to create literally.

Meaning if there’s an animal, I color it the way it actually looks, or if there’s a flower, use colors of real flowers.

It is, however, nice to try something new and that’s what I’ve done today using a spritzer and the Celebrate Sunflowers Stamp Set.

My card starts off with Magenta Madness cardstock.  I stamped the sentiment from the Celebrate Sunflowers Stamp Set in Versamark ink on Basic Black cardstock, sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder, and heat set it.  I cut it out using the Stitched Rectangles Dies.

I took the large sunflower image from the Celebrate Sunflowers Stamp Set and applied Magenta Madness ink and Mango Melody ink using a Sponge Dauber.  I then sprayed water on the sunflower using a Spritzer and stamped it on Whisper White panel.

I did the same thing with the leaf image using Granny Apple Green ink and Old Olive ink.  I then added a Magenta Madness bow next to the sentiment.

I also wanted to try the same coloring but without the spritzed water and this was the result:

Let me know which one you like more.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Clean & Simple Butterfly Gala Thank You Cards

#Simplestamping …

I love a card all dazzled up, but there is definitely a place in my heart for quick, simple cards.

I was in need of a bunch of thank you cards so I used the Butterfly Gala Stamp Set and bright cardstock.

My cards start off with either Mango Melody, Coastal Cabana, or Highly Heather cardstock.

I then stamped the double butterfly from the Butterfly Gala Stamp Set multiple times on a piece of Whisper White cardstock in Memento Black ink.  I also stamped little antennas and bodies.

I colored the top part of the butterflies in either Daffodil Delight, Coastal Cabana, or Highland Heather and the bottom part in either Mango Melody, Bermuda Bay, or Gorgeous Grape ink.

I then stamped the sentiments next to the butterflies in either Mango Melody, Coastal Cabana, or Gorgeous Grape ink and matted it on Basic Black cardstock.

That’s it – easy peasy.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! *NEW Tasteful Touches Thanks Card

This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is a sketch challenge.  Happy hopping!

I made a simple card today that features three new products from the new Annual Catalog: the Many Mates Stamp Set (sentiment), the Tasteful Touches Stamp Set (flower), and one of the new In Colors, Misty Moonlight.

Did you catch my In Color comparison and unboxing video?  You can check it out here.

My card starts off with Sahara Sand cardstock which I embossed using the Pinewood Planks Embossing Folder.

Next I cut a panel of Misty Moonlight cardstock and Seaside Spray cardstock and matted them on Whisper White cardstock.  I stamped the flower from the Tasteful Touches Stamp Set in Versamark ink over the seam of the two.

In the bottom corner I stamped the “You’re So Nice” from the Many Mates Stamp Set in Versamark ink, sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder, and heat set it.

I stamped the “thanks” from the Many Mates Stamp Set in Seaside Spray ink on Whisper White cardstock and cut it out using the Stitched Nested Labels Dies.  I snipped the end of it and adhered it down using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Country Home Tile Background Card

A friend of mine posted a picture of her new breakfast nook and it immediately inspired today’s card!

She’s an amazing designer and is just one of those people that has a great eye for design.  Be sure to head over and check out her Etsy store.

I used the tile from the Country Home Stamp Set to create my own tile background.

My card starts off with Night of Navy cardstock.  I then took a panel of Whisper White cardstock and stamped the tile in Night of Navy ink on it.  I purposefully didn’t ink the stamp fully to get a rustic look on it.  I just lightly tapped the stamp on the ink.

I matted this on Whisper White cardstock and wrapped around some Gray Granite ribbon in a knot.  I then used the Stitched Shapes Dies to cut out a Whisper White square.  I matted this on Gray Granite cardstock and then on Night of Navy cardstock.

I stamped the pitcher from the Country Home Stamp Set in Gray Granite ink and colored it in using the Gray Granite Stampin’ Blends Markers.  I fussy cut it out and adhered it down with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment in Versamark ink on Night of Navy cardstock, sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder, and heat set it.  I fussy cut it out and adhered it down using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! NEW Celebrate Sunflowers Thanks Card

Today I’m using another brand new bundle from the 2020-2021 Annual Catalog…the Celebrate Sunflowers Bundle.

It will be available beginning June 3rd.

Be sure to head over to my Facebook page once you’ve received your catalog.  Look for my selfie with my catalog and post a selfie of you with yours in the comments.  I’ll do a random giveaway!

My card starts off with the new Cinnamon Cider cardstock.  This is a new 2020-2022 In Color and it’s beautiful!  I then wrapped around some Very Vanilla ribbon from the Forever Greenery pack in the corner.

I matted a Cinnamon Cider pattern from the 2020-2022 In Color Designer Series Paper on Whisper White cardstock.  I then layered over the Very Vanilla ribbon a piece of Cinnamon Cider ribbon.  Above the DSP, I stamped the sentiment from the Celebrate Sunflowers Stamp Set in Versamark ink, sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder, and heat set it.

I stamped the sunflower and leaves from the Celebrate Sunflowers Stamp Set in Memento Black ink.  I colored them in using Daffodil Delight and Mango Melody (sunflower), Soft Suede (center of flower), and Old Olive (leaves) Stampin’ Blends Markers.  I cut them out, as well as a few leaf outlines using the coordinating Sunflowers Dies.
