Stampin’ Up! Topical Chic Thank You

This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is a color challenge.  Happy hopping!

My card today starts off with Coastal Cabana cardstock.  I then took another panel, embossed it using the Simply Stripes embossing folder, and matted it on Whisper White cardstock.

I used the Tropical Thinlits Dies and Whisper White cardstock to cut out the fun die.  I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere it over a pattern from the How Sweet It Is Designer Series Paper.

I stamped the sentiment from the Tropical Chic Stamp Set in Versamark ink on Melon Mambo cardstock, sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder, and heat set it.  I added a few glitter enamel dots next to it.

Underneath the sentiment I tucked a piece of White Flax Ribbon and another die cut.  I adhered the sentiment down with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Humming Along Card

This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is a color challenge.  Happy hopping!

So these colors scream Valentine’s Day; however, being that yesterday’s card and the one the day before were both Valentine’s Day cards and used only Lovely Lipstick, I decided to make a thank you.

My card today starts off with Soft Sea Foam cardstock.  I then matted a pattern from the Brights Designer Series Paper (the flirty flamingo one) on Whisper White cardstock.

I stamped the hibiscus from the Humming Along Stamp Set in Memento Black ink on Whisper White cardstock.  I colored it in using Lovely Lipstick, Flirty Flamingo, and Soft Sea Foam Stampin’ Blends Markers and the fussy cut it out.

I cut out a stitched square using the Stitched Shapes Framelits and stamped the sentiment in Memento Black ink.  I adhered the hibiscus using Stampin’ Dimensionals and added a pearl next to the sentiment.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Falling For Leaves – Thinking of You

As we speak I am away at a scrapbooking retreat.

As much as I love card making, scrapbooking is my first love, but I really only work on it during this weekend away.

I work on three different books – one for each of my kids.  I plan on posting pictures along the way on my Facebook page, so be sure to swing by to see what I’m working on.

My card today starts off with Mint Macaron cardstock.  I next stamped the Buffalo Check stamp set in Crumb Cake ink on Whisper White cardstock and matted it on Whisper White cardstock.

I wrapped a Mint Macaron bow around the card front.  This ribbon is part of the Nature’s Twine pack.

Using the Detailed Leaf Thinlits, I cut out the bottom leaf from Crumb Cake cardstock and the top (more detailed) leaf from Crushed Curry cardstock.

Lastly, I stamped the sentiment from the Falling For Leaves Stamp Set in Crushed Curry ink on Whisper White cardstock and cut it out using the Layering Circles Framelits.  I used the same framelits to cut out a Mint Macaron scalloped circle.  I adhered this down using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Painted Harvest Thank You

I sure hope you’re having a great week.

I have been a lean-mean crafting machine as I’m doing a craft fair this weekend – making lots of super cute and fun doo-daas.

I hope to post some pictures Saturday on my Facebook page.  Wish me luck!

My card today is all fall!!

It starts off with Crushed Curry cardstock which I embossed using the Simply Stripes Embossing Folder.

I then took a panel of Very Vanilla cardstock (to be matted on Mossy Meadow cardstock) and used the Painted Harvest stamp set to stamp sunflowers across it.  I used Crushed Curry and Cajun Craze inks to stamp the sunflowers.

I used the masking technique to stamp the leaves in Mossy Meadow ink around the sunflowers.

Lastly I did some layering with a Very Vanilla banner, punched Mossy Meadow leaves, and Very Vanilla Polka Dot ribbon.  For the sentiment, I stamped it in Versamark ink on Cajun Craze cardstock.  I sprinkled it with white embossing powder, heat set it, and cut it out using the Stitched Shapes Framelits.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Give Thanks Blog Hop

Today marks a new Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge.  Be sure to play along this week!

This is a beautiful fall theme challenge and I thought it worked perfectly with this month’s Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop theme which is “Giving Thanks.”

My card starts off with Pumpkin Pie cardstock.  I then took a panel of Mango Melody cardstock and embossed it using the Pinewood Planks embossing folder.

Using the Layering Circles Framelits I cut out a circle first from the Mango Melody cardstock.  I traced the cut circle on a panel of Whisper White cardstock and on the Pumpkin Pie card front.  I then lined up the circle framelit over and cut them out.

I stamped the sunflower image from the Many Blessings stamp set on a panel of Whisper White cardstock to be adhered inside the card.  I also stamped the wreath on a separate panel of Whisper White cardstock in Memento Black ink.

I used Dark Mango Melody (inside of sunflower and highlight on leaf), Light Daffodil Delight (edge of sunflower), Dark & Light Granny Apple Green (leaves), Smokey Slate (jar), Light Pumpkin Pie (highlight on leaf), and Light Crumb Cake (inside of sunflower) Stampin’ Blends Markers to color the images in.

I used the wreath from the Many Blessings Stamp Set, but made it a complete circle by using the masking technique.  I stamped the wreath first in Memento Black ink.  I then covered the two ends with a piece of scrap paper.  I very carefully only inked up a bit of the wreath again and stamped the image, connecting the two ends.

I then fussy cut the wreath out and adhered it over the cicle.

I stamped the sentiment from the Many Blessings Stamp Set in Versamark ink on Basic Black cardstock.  I used the Detailed Trio Punch to cut the ends and the hole for the tag.  I wove through some Linen Thread and tied a Braided Linen ribbon over it.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Country Home Thanks

Hello friends!

I love the product suites that Stampin’ Up! puts together in their catalogs.

It’s a combination of stamps, Designer Series Paper, ribbon, and embellishments that all coordinate together.  It’s a sure win that all the elements will look great today.  Makes card making so easy.

Today’s card uses the Country Lane Product Suite.

My card starts off with Old Olive cardstock which I covered with a pattern from the Country Lane DSP.  I then matted a panel of Old Olive cardstock on Whisper White cardstock.

I then stamped the images from the Country Home Stamp Set in Memento Black Ink on Whisper White cardstock.  I used the Blackberry Bliss, Old Olive, Cajun Craze, and Calypso Coral Stampin’ Blends Markers to color it in.  I cut it out using the Layering Ovals Framelits.

I cut down the Chicken Wire embellishment which went under the vase which I adhered down using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I then stamped the sentiment from the Country Home Stamp Set in Blackberry Bliss ink.

Enjoy!

Today’s card was inspired by this week’s TGIF Challenges.

Stampin’ Up! Falling For Leaves Note Cards

I don’t usually make square cards.  In fact, I can count on my right hand how many I’ve made.

However, I thought I’d make some small thank you note cards.  I figured I’d make them 4-1/4″ x 4-1/4″ so they could still fit in the standard envelope.

But then I couldn’t decide what color combination to use…so I did one of each 🙂  Which one is your favorite?

I started off with one color as the base to the card, cutting it 4-1/4″ x 4-1/4″.

I then matted another color on Whisper White to adhere to the card front.  I stamped the sentiment from the Falling For Leaves Stamp Set in Versamark ink, sprinkled it with white embossing powder, and heat set it.

I then used the Detailed Leaves Thinlits to cut out the detailed leaf in another color and  a Whisper White leaf to mat it on.   I also cut out a scalloped detail using the same thinlits.

Here’s a picture of all three cards today.  I really love how they came out- simple, but pretty.

Enjoy!

Today’s card was inspired by this week’s challenges at Freshly Made Sketches and The Paper Players.
