Stampin’ Up! Varied Vases Mother’s Day Card

This month’s Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop’s theme is “Feminine.”  Have fun hopping around to see how all the ladies interpreted the them.

I went with a really simple Mother’s Day card using the new color challenge from Hand Stamped Sentiments.

My card starts off with Lovely Lipstick cardstock which I layered with a pattern from the All My Love Designer Series Paper.

I then matted a panel of Whisper White cardstock on Whisper White cardstock.  I then stamped the “shelf,” vases, and outline of the flowers and leaves in Memento Black ink.

This week’s Hand Stamped Sentiments new color challenge was how I picked the colors I did.  Be sure to play along with us this month.

I used Lovely Lipstick, Flirty Flamingo, and Call Me Clover inks to add color to the flowers and leaves.  I added a few Pearls inside the one flower.

I stamped the sentiment from the You’re Inspiring Stamp Set in Memento Black ink.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! You’re Inspiring Card – Kind Thoughts

This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is a sketch challenge.  Happy hopping!

My card starts off with Old Olive cardstock which I embossed using the Subtle Embossing Folder.

I then took a panel of Whisper White cardstock and stamped the daffodils from the You’re Inspiring Stamp Set on it in Memento Black ink.  I colored them in using Granny Apple Green, Pineapple Punch, and Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends Markers.

I then took a sponge and rubbed the edge of the Whisper White cardstock in Pineapple Punch ink.

I mounted the Whisper White cardstock on Pineapple Punch cardstock.  I then adhered a pattern from the 2018-2020 Designer Series Paper pack below the daffodils.

I stamped the sentiment from the You’re Inspiring Stamp Set in Memento Black ink on Pineapple Punch cardstock and tucked underneath it a Pearlized Doily, adhering it down with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Lastly, I added a few Pearls around the daffodils.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! You’re Inspiring Daffodils

Did you have a nice Easter yesterday?

I certainly did.  We went to church.  I cooked, get this…steak (not sure how I got convinced to do that).  And the sun was even out despite it being cold.

It was a nice Easter and I certainly hope yours was as well!

My card today uses the beautiful You’re Inspiring Stamp Set!  I’ve stamped with this set before (you can see that card here) but used Stampin’ Blends to color it in.  This time I wanted to use an Aqua Painter.

I started off with a Old Olive cardstock.  I then took a pattern from the Wood Textures DSP and adhered it over a panel of Very Vanilla cardstock which was matted on Daffodil Delight cardstock.

I then stamped the daffodil image from the You’re Inspiring Stamp Set in Archival Black ink on watercolor paper.  I used an Aqua Painter and Old Olive, Daffodil Delight, and Crushed Curry (for the darker areas of the flower) inks to color it in.  I fussy cut it out and adhered it using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

For the sentiment, I used the Stamparatus (available June 1st) to get a heat embossed effect using Old Olive ink.  I set up the Stamparatus and inked up the sentiment in Old Olive ink first and stamped on a piece of Daffodil Delight cardstock.  I then kept the stamp where it was positioned on the Stamparatus, but cleaned it using a baby wipe.  I then inked it up using Versamark and went over the same spot I had just stamped.  I sprinkled it with clear embossing powder and heat set it.

Enjoy!

Today’s card was inspired by this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

Stampin’ Up! You’re Inspiring Card

This month’s Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop’s theme is Spring!

The You’re Inspiring Stamp Set caught my eye right away in the Occasions Catalog and I knew it’d be perfect for this theme.

Spring certainly hasn’t sprung yet in Upstate New York, but soon enough daffodils will start to pop through the ground!  They are always a sign that spring has come.

My card starts off with Daffodil Delight cardstock on which I adhered a pattern from the Color Theory DSP.  I then took a panel of Whisper White cardstock and stamped the daffodils from the You’re Inspiring Stamp Set on the front in Memento Black ink.

I colored the daffodils in using the Dark and Light Daffodil Delight Stampin Blends Markers.  I used the Light Pumpkin Pie Stampin Blend Marker to color the very bottom of the daffodil.  I used the Dark and Light Old Olive Stampin Blends Markers to color in the stems.

I matted this Whisper White cardstock on a panel of Daffodil Delight cardstock and then again on Whisper White cardstock.

I wrapped around some Daffodil Delight ribbon and tied a Linen Thread bow in it.  I adhered everything down using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
