Saturday Scrapbooking

Today I wanted to share with you my first love, scrapbooking.

I’ve been scrapbooking for only 3 years now.  I usually don’t do it during the year as I don’t like to feel rushed but to just take my time and let the layout develop.  I recently went on a scrapbooking retreat and was able to get 86 pages done!  It felt glorious and wonderful and exhausting, but that good exhaustion that’s exhilarating.

Over the next couple of Saturdays I’ll be sharing some of my layouts for my Saturday Scrapbooking.

Please note that I use retired and current product in my layouts and even some other non-Stampin Up (I can hear the gasp now) products.  That’s the glory of a scrapbooking retreat.  Everyone brings all the their stuff and shares!

This is a layout I did for my 10-year-old’s scrapbook.  It shows a fun fall day we had playing soccer outside and her first day of 4th grade.

I like my scrapbook double pages to coordinate (colors and style) but not to be too matchy-matchy.

For this page I used 12×12 Elegant Eggplant cardstock as the background and used Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive as my other colors.  The letters come from the Letters for Your Bundle.

I created the number using the Large Number Stamp Set and coordinating framelits.

I hope you enjoyed seeing my scrapbook layout.  There’ll be more to come in the weeks ahead.

Enjoy!
