Today’s card inspiration comes from the Global Design Project challenge this week – Nautical. While I don’t have any stamp that screams nautical – I do have this cute little boat on what I’ll call the ocean.
My card today starts off with Thick Whisper White. I then layered some more Whisper White over Pacific (fitting right?) Point.
To start I used some Sponge Daubers to color the background, the top in Daffodil Delight to mimic a sun and the bottom in Dapper Denim to mimic the ocean. Next I used the “wavy” thinlits from the Swirly Bird Bundle to create the rest of my ocean, cutting out a piece in Pacific Point and Island Indigo, layering one over the other.
Next I created my boat by stamping the base in Crumb Cake and the top in Peekaboo Peach, fussy cutting them, and then adhering them just above the ocean. I cut a small piece of Linen Thread and adhered it between the two masts and added a Pacific Point flag to the top of it. Then I stamped in Pacific Point the sentiment (from the Sunshine Sayings Stamp Set) and adhered it as another flag.
