Stampin’ Up! Beauty Abounds Gradient Card – HSS311

Ready for a fun, new sketch challenge from Hand Stamped Sentiments?!

I definitely was inspired by the layout and kept with the butterflies from the sketch.
Be sure to play along this week!

My card starts off with Highland Heather cardstock over which I adhered a Gorgeous Grape pattern from the Brights Designer Series Paper.

Next I took a panel of Whisper White cardstock and stamped the bokeh images from the Beauty Abounds Stamp Set in Gorgeous Grape and Highland Heather (stamping off for lighter shades) from darkest to lightest.  I then stamped the butterflies the same way and cut them out using the coordinating Butterfly Beauty Thinlits.

I used the Stitched Shapes Framelits to cut out an oval from Vellum and then stamped the sentiment from the Hold on to Hope Stamp Set in Gorgeous Grape ink.

I added a few rhinestones all around the butterflies.  I then took a piece of sponge and added Gorgeous Grape color all around the edge of the Whisper White cardstock before matting it on Gorgeous Grape cardstock.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Card Using Lemon Zest Stamp

This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is a color challenge.  Happy hopping!

My card starts off with Old Olive cardstock.  I then took a panel of Whisper White cardstock and matted it on Crushed Curry cardstock.

Then I did some fun layering using the Lemon Zest Stamp Set and matching Lemon Builder Punch.

TIP: Whenever you want to do some layering and are not quite sure how you want it to look.  Play around with the different images on your grid paper.  Then when you have it perfect – take a picture of it on your phone.  That way when you go to adhere everything down, you know exactly where to put it.

I stamped the whole lemon in Crushed Curry Ink and cut it out using the Lemon Builder Punch, as well as the leaves from Old Olive cardstock.

For the sliced lemons, I stamped off first for a lighter shade of Crushed Curry.  I fussy cut them out (although a circle framelit would’ve done the trick).  I adhered the one with a Stampin’ Dimensional.

I stamped the sentiments on Berry Burst cardstock in Versamark ink.  I sprinkled them with white embossing powder and heat set them.  The one I cut out using a circle stitched framelit.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Monochromatic Easy Card

Maybe it’s because St. Patrick’s Day just passed or maybe it’s because I’m ready to see some green on the trees and grass…

But today’s card is a monochromatic green card using the Tropical Chic and Incredible Like You stamp sets.

My card starts off with Call Me Clover Cardstock.

Next I took a panel of Whisper White cardstock and stamped all around it the images from the Tropical Chic Stamp Set in Shaded Spruce, Call Me Clover, and Granny Apple Green ink.  I then matted this on Granny Apple Green cardstock.

Next I wrapped around a knot using the Granny Apple Green Textured ribbon.  This is one of my favorite ribbons to work with as it is very easy to make a beautiful bow or knot.

Lastly I stamped the sentiment from the Incredible Like You Stamp Set in Versamark ink on Shaded Spruce cardstock.  I sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder and heat set it.  I adhered it down using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Enjoy!

Today’s card was inspired by this week’s Fab Friday sketch challenge.

Stampin’ Up! Tropical Chic – FMS378

For today’s card I’m using a set I haven’t picked up in a while.  It’s the Tropical Chic Bundle.

The bundle mixed with the Tropical Escape Designer Series Paper is so tropical and makes me dream of hot days on the beach with a fun drink.

My card starts off with Blushing Bride cardstock.  I then matted a panel of Whisper White cardstock on Shaded Spruce cardstock.

I then adhered a pattern from the Tropical Escape Designer Series Paper to the card front.

I used the Tropical Thinlits Dies to cut out three leaves from Soft Sea Foam, Granny Apple Green, and Shaded Spruce cardstock. I cut Mini Dimensionals in half in order to adhere down the middle one.

Lastly I stamped the sentiment in Versamark ink, sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder, and heat set it.  I adhered it down using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Country Floral Card

I was super excited to get the new to Sale-A-Bration Country Floral Embossing Folder.

I decided to emboss it on a solid piece of cardstock and leave it in all its glory.
There’s just some much prettiness and yumminess to it, that I wanted it to steal the show…

And yes those are official terms.

My card today starts off with Mossy Meadow cardstock.  I took a panel of Mint Macaron and embossed it using the Country Floral Embossing Folder and matted it on Whisper White cardstock.

I then adhered down a pattern from the Gingham Gala Designer Series Paper (Daffodil Delight) in a banner and tied a bow using Daffodil Delight ribbon around the card.

Lastly I stamped the sentiment from the Floral Frames stamp set in Mossy Meadow ink, cut it out with the Story Label Punch, and adhered it down using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Swirly Frames Card

This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is a color challenge.  Happy hopping!

I have had the concept for today’s card in my head since I bought the Swirly Frames Stamp Set back in June.  I was so happy to finally put it together.

My card starts off with Night of Navy cardstock.  I then rubbed it with the Embossing Buddy to get all the static off.  I stamped the large and small circle from the Swirly Frames Stamp Set multiple times in Versamark ink.  I sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder and heat set it.

I then stamped the daisy from the Daisy Delight Stamp Set in Balmy Blue ink and the center in Night of Navy ink.  I cut them out using the Daisy Punch.

Next I stamped the sentiment from the Another Wonderful Year Stamp Set in Night of Navy ink and matted it on Balmy Blue cardstock, adhering it down with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Sweetest Thing – Sweet Card

The very first thing I ever bought from Stampin’ Up! was their Designer Series Paper.

I loved all the designs, high quality product, and how everything was color coordinated.

And something they match Designer Series Paper to framelits that cut images out – now that’s pure brilliance!

My card today starts off with Gorgeous Grape cardstock.  I then took a panel of Pool Party cardstock and embossed it using the Softly Falling Embossing Folder and matted it on Whisper White cardstock.

Next I used the new More Than Words Stamp Set (part of the newly released Sale-A-Bration coordinating product) and stamped the sentiment in Gorgeous Grape ink.

I adhered over that a pattern from the How Sweet It Is Designer Series Paper.  I took another pattern and used the Jar of Sweets Framelits to cut out the jar of goodies, adhering the one down with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

This paper combined with the framelits make this card easy peasy!

Enjoy!

Today’s card was inspired by this week’s Global Design Project challenge.

Stampin’ Up! Beauty Abounds – Just a Note

When life gets busy, busy…I tend to stick to clean and simple cards.

After working hard since October, my oldest daughter (12) and her team this past weekend participated in an Odyssey of the Mind competition!  Any fellow OOTM’ers out there?!

Needless to say, we’re all consumed with this right now as they took 1st place and will continue competing.

So quick and simple it was…

My card starts off with Mint Macaron cardstock.  I then took a panel of Whisper White cardstock and matted it on Soft Sea Foam cardstock.

I used the Beauty Abounds Stamp Set to stamp the small and larger bokeh images in Mossy Meadow, Mint Macaron, and Soft Sea Foam ink a few times in the corner.

I stamped the sentiment from the Butterfly Gala Stamp Set in Versamark ink on Basic Black cardstock, sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder, and heat set it.

Lastly I used the Butterfly Beauty Framelits to cut out two butterflies, one from Soft Sea Foam cardstock and the other from Mint Macaron cardstock.

Enjoy!

Today’s card was inspired by this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge.
