Stampin’ Up! Celebrate Sunflowers Thank You Card

I have a great thank you card for you today using the Celebrate Sunflowers Bundle.

It fit this week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop perfectly!

My card starts off with Crumb Cake cardstock, which I covered with a pattern from the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper.

Good news: The fun In Good Taste DSP will be carrying over into the new 2021-2022 Annual Catalog!!!

Next, I stamped the sunflower and leaf images from the Celebrate Sunflowers Stamp in Memento Black ink on Basic White cardstock. I used the new…and gorgeous Soft Succulent (leaves), Pale Papaya, Pumpkin Pie, and Crumb Cake (flower) Stampin’ Blends to color it in. I cut it out using the Sunflower Dies.

I used the same dies to cut out a few sprigs from Crumb Cake cardstock. I adhered the sunflower down using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Celebrate Sunflowers Stamp Set in one of the new 2021-2023 In Colors, Soft Succulent, and adhered a small panel of Soft Succulent cardstock underneath.

The new Annual Catalog comes with a new bundle of twine called the Baker’s Twine Essentials Combo Pack, which includes Crumb Cake twine, which I wound around under the sentiment. Lastly, I added a few Gilded Gems.

SNEAK PEEK Stampin’ Up! Hand-Penned Thank You Card

Happy Wednesday!!!

All this week we’re talking about gratitude. I hope it’s inspired you to view your days through a lens of gratitude.

Some days are easier than others, let’s face it. Friday we might have snow here in Upstate NY, while today is warm and sunny.

Some days you can’t seem to catch a break, and others it’s like you’re walking on sunshine. (I bet you just started singing the song.)

Whatever your day seems to bring you, let’s be challenged to approach it with gratitude!

Now on to today’s card…

New catalogs are always exciting and today I’m sharing a beautiful card I made last week using a new bundle in the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog, the Hand-Penned Petals Bundle. This bundle has beautiful floral images and two-step stamping to stamp the inside of the florals.

My favorite part of the card is the gold bee and the card front cut on an edge using the Basic Borders Dies.

I’ll be back tonight with another card. I’ll be using another suite from the new Annual Catalog, the Pansy Patch Bundle. Join me at 7:30 EST over on my Facebook page.

If you ever miss a video, you can check then out on my YouTube Channel.

Stampin’ Up! Welcoming Window Thank You Card

Today, I’m switching things up.

I’ll be going live at 1:00 pm EST over on Facebook instead of YouTube. I’ll be doing an unboxing of all the new Annual Catalog goodies I preordered, as well as a stamped color comparison of the new 2021-2023 In Colors.

Did you check out my introduction of the new colors? Head over here.

My card starts off with Pear Pizzazz cardstock.

I then took a panel of Basic White cardstock and stamped the brick from the Welcoming Window a few times across the front (stamping off first for a lighter shade for some of them). I then matted this on another panel of Basic White cardstock.

Next I stamped the window in Misty Moonlight ink and the shutters in Pear Pizzazz ink. In the window I stamped the pot in Smoky Slate and the plant in Pear Pizzazz ink. I cut these out, along with a flower box from Misty Moonlight cardstock using the Window Flower Box Dies, adhering them down using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Lastly, I stamped the sentiment from the Welcoming Window Stamp Set in Versamark ink on Misty Moonlight cardstock, sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder, and heat set it. I cut it out using Tasteful Labels Dies.

Stampin’ Up! Super Simple Free as a Bird Thank You Card

Have you ever had an idea for a card design and wonder if it’ll work…or if it’ll even look good?!

Well, you know me and my fussy cutting, so I had this idea for the Free as a Bird Stamp Set, and I have to say, I really like how it came out.

It’s definitely a super simple card, but the “wow” is in the fancy cutting on the bottom.

I took a panel of Thick Basic White cardstock.

Using the Stamparatus was key. I first stamped the birds from the Free as a Bird Stamp Set on the front of the card, then opened it up and stamped them again on the inside in Memento Black ink. Using the Stamparatus ensured that I would stamp both birds in the exact same spot on the outside and on the inside.

I then colored the image in using Crumb Cake (branch), Granny Apple Green (leaf), Daffodil Delight (flower), Smoky Slate (birds), Petal Pink and Calypso Coral (birds) Stampin’ Blends Markers.

Then, using my Paper Snips, I fussy cut out the birds on the card front so the birds on the inside show through.

Lastly, I stamped the sentiment from the Free as a Bird Stamp Set in Memento Black ink and cut it out using the Tasteful Labels Dies, as well as wound some Linen Thread underneath.

Thanks for checking out my project today!!!

Stampin’ Up! Forever Fern Square Thank You Card

Last Thursday on Facebook, I challenged you to use your Designer Series Paper.

With the 2020-2021 Annual Catalog coming to a close, I’m trying to use up the last bits of my Designer Series Paper.
I mean, we have to make room for all the new goodies, don’t we?!

So I have a really quick, simple, just #simplestamping, no die cutting, card for today.

My card starts off with Pretty Peacock cardstock, which by the way, will be retiring for good the end of April. It would be a great idea to stock up on this color while it’s still available!

Next I cut a pattern from the Forever Greenery Designer Series Paper almost square – 1/8″ shorter width wise and then cut it on a diagonal.

Next I stamped the sentiment from the Forever Fern Stamp Set in Pear Pizzazz ink and a fern in Pretty Peacock ink on a square piece of Basic White cardstock, matting a panel of Pretty Peacock cardstock behind it.

I then wound around a piece of the Pretty Peacock/Old Olive ribbon behind the square, adhering it down with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Stampin’ Up! Free as a Bird Thank You Card

Happy Monday everyone!

We’re here back to the routine…homeschooling and our regular schedule. It’s sort of bitter sweet!

My card starts off with Rococo Rose cardstock, which I embossed using the Dainty Diamonds Embossing Folder.

I then took a Rococo Rose pattern from the Oh So Ombre Designer Series Paper and stamped the birds from the Free as a Bird Stamp Set in Rococo Rose ink. I matted it on Basic White cardstock and cut the ends of it off.

On a separate piece of Basic White cardstock I stamped the leaf from the Free as a Bird in the corner in Rococo Rose ink. I adhered the cut pieces of the Oh So Ombre on either side of the Basic White panel.

I adhered the cut piece over the Basic White panel using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Lastly, I stamped the sentiment in Rococo Rose ink.

Thanks for checking out my project today!

Stampin’ Up! A Touch of Ink Thank You Card

Today’s card was designed around last week’s team color and sketch challenge.

Ironically enough, even though I made the challenges, I designed my card wrong. After I realized it, I had to chop it up a little and cover the boo-boo with ribbon.

My card starts off with Blushing Bride cardstock, which I covered with a Blushing Bride pattern from the Subtles Designer Series Paper.

I then took a panel of Basic White cardstock and adhered the flower, butterfly, and leaf from the A Touch of Ink Stamp in Memento Black ink. I stamped the less detailed images in Bumblebee, Blushing Bride, and Mossy Meadow ink. I then matted it on a panel of Basic Black cardstock.

To cover the seam I adhered around a piece of Blushing Bride ribbon.

Lastly, I stamped the sentiment from the A Touch of Ink Stamp Set (masking off the bottom part of the sentiment) in Versamark ink on Basic Black cardstock, sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder, and heat set it.

I cut it out using the Tasteful Labels Dies and adhered it down with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Lastly, I added a few Pearls around the images.

Stampin’ Up! Floating & Fluttering Thank You Card

This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is a sketch challenge. Happy hopping!

My card starts off with Bumblebee cardstock.

I used the Fluttering Dies (specifically the solid butterfly) and cut out a lot of butterflies from Bumblebee cardstock. I adhered them to the card front and trimmed the ones that overhang.

I took a panel of Basic White cardstock and stamped the cluster of butterflies from the Floating & Fluttering Stamp Set in Memento Black ink. I stamped the various “insides” of the butterflies in Bumbelbee ink and matted this on Basic Black cardstock.

I used the black and white twine from the Playful Pets ribbon and unwound the black twine from it. I wrapped it around and tied a bow.

I stamped the frame from the Floating & Fluttering Stamp Set and the sentiment from the Heal Your Heart Stamp Set (free during Sale-a-Bration) in Memento Black ink. Next to it I added a few Matte Black Dots next to it.
