Stampin’ Up! Come Sail Away Water Wash Background

This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is a color challenge.  Happy hopping!

My card starts off with Pretty Peacock cardstock.   I then took a panel of Shimmery White cardstock and squeezed water all over it using an Aqua Painter.  I then added color to it in layers.

Using the Aqua Painter I first put Pretty Peacock ink in the middle of it.  Then I added Blueberry Bushel to two corners and Old Olive to the other two.  I dried it with the Heat Tool and repeated this.

In doing this a few times, you get deeper colors, as well as different water marks on your paper.  I then matted this on Blueberry Bushel cardstock.

I used the Sailing Home Stamp Set and stamped the anchor and “thanks” in Blueberry Bushel ink.  I cut them out, as well as the Old Olive label and Pretty Peacock seaweed using the coordinating Smooth Sailing Dies.

Lastly I cut the edge off the Pretty Peacock Scalloped Ribbon and adhered it under the label and wound some Blueberry Bushel ribbon in the anchor.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! 3D Floral Card Video Tutorial

It’s Wednesday!!!!

That means tonight I’ll be going live with my Facebook tutorial.

Today’s card was the one I made last week.  It was a lot of fun as I took a flat floral image and made it 3D.

The flower comes from the Floral Essence Stamp Set and the paper is the GORGEOUS Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper.  The sentiment comes from the Daisy Delight Stamp Set.

I’ll be back tonight at 7:30 pm EST with a card that was inspired by a walk in my neighborhood.  Catch it live on my Facebook page and leave a comment and I’ll draw a name for someone to receive tonight’s card.

If you ever miss a video, you can see them all on my YouTube channel.

Stampin’ Up! Tropical Chic Card

This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is a color challenge.  Happy hopping!

My card starts off with Thick Whisper White cardstock.  I then measured a top and bottom piece of Coastal Cabana cardstock which I embossed using the Corrugated Embossing Folder.

In the space I stamped the sentiment from the Tropical Chic Stamp Set in Coastal Cabana ink and added a few Granny Apple Green Enamel Dots.

I used the Tropical Chic Bundle to first cut out a Daffodil Delight leaf.  For another leaf I stamped the image in Versamark ink on Daffodil Delight cardstock, sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder, and heat set it.  For the bigger leaf, I used the Stamparatus.  I first inked it up in Granny Apple Green ink and then dabbed the edges of it in Coastal Cabana ink.

I wound around some Silver Thread over the leaves.  I also folded over some Coastal Cabana/Granny Apple Green ribbon which I secured using Whisper White Baker’s Twine.  I added a Coastal Cabana enamel dot over the fold.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Sailing Home Video Tutorial

The new Sailing Home Bundle is perfect for lots of layering or for the images to be stamped alone on a card.

I think it’s extremely versatile and an absolute must-have.

I used it last week for my Wednesday night Facebook Live Video Tutorial to make a thank you card.

I combined the Sailing Home Bundle with Night of Navy, Real Red, and Crumb Cake which to me are just great nautical colors together.

I’ll be back tonight with another tutorial on my Facebook page at 7:30 pm EST.  Catch it live and leave a comment and at the end I’ll draw a name for someone to receive tonight’s card!

If you ever miss a video, you can catch them on my YouTube Channel.

Stampin’ Up! Thank You Card – Flower Surgery

My husband was in need of a few thank you cards, so of course he knew who to ask.

I wanted them to be simple, but eye catching.
Both the dies and stamp set are scheduled to retire, so don’t miss out and get them while you can.

My card starts off with Lovely Lipstick cardstock.  I then took a panel of Whisper White cardstock and matted it on Petal Pink cardstock.

I stamped the “thank you” from the Humming Along stamp set in Lovely Lipstick ink on the Whisper White panel.

I then made the flower using the May Flowers Dies.  I cut out a flower from Lovely Lipstick, Flirty Flamingo, and Petal Pink cardstock.  I trimmed down the Flirty Flamingo a little and the Petal Pink a little more and adhered them over one another.

You can see pictures of the step-by-step on my Facebook page here.

I used the same dies to cut out three leaves from Call Me Clover cardstock.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! *NEW Good Morning Magnolia Video Tutorial

When I tell you the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog is amazing, I kid you not.

The Magnolia Lane Suite caught my eye right away in the catalog, but when I got my hands on it, I was even more impressed!

This is a suite that you NEED, trust me!

My card today uses the Good Morning Magnolia Stamp Set and coordinating dies.  It will be available beginning June 4th.  Even better yet, join as a demonstrator and be able to preorder it May 2nd!

This is the card that I made for my last week’s Facebook Live Tutorial.  I had so much fun showing how I made it (and three other cards I made using the suite).

Please note that I am away on vacation with my family right now so will not be live tonight!  I will be back next week at 7:30 pm Wednesday night.

To watch the Facebook Live Tutorial and see how I created this card and get a peek at the other cards I made, check out the video below:

Stampin’ Up! Beach Happy Thanks Card

The Beach Happy Stamp Set caught my eye in the Occasions Catalog right from the start.
Specifically, the example card they made on page 37.

I finally got a chance to CASE (copy and selectively edit) it.
I’m sad to say the Beach Happy Stamp Set will be retired after the Occasions Catalog.

My card starts off with Coastal Cabana cardstock.  I then matted a panel of Soft Suede cardstock on Whisper White cardstock.

I then cut out a panel of Watercolor Paper using the Rectangle Stitched Dies.  I did a watercolor background using an Aqua Painter and Coastal Cabana, Bermuda Bay, Crumb Cake, and Soft Suede ink.

Once the watercolor paper was dry, I stamped the palm tree trunk in Soft Suede ink.  I stamped the palm leaves in Versamark ink, sprinkled it with Gold Embossing Powder, and heat set it.

I stamped the sentiment in Coastal Cabana ink on Whisper White cardstock, adhered a piece of Burlap Ribbon underneath it which I roughed up a bit, and added a Tropical Element next to it.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! All That You Are Thank You Card

Did you happen to miss out on the Organdy Ribbon during Sale-A-Bration?

Check out the bottom of my post today for a chance to still get your hands on some.

Now for today’s card…

My card starts off with Thick Whisper White cardstock on which I adhered a Highland Heather pattern from the Subtles Designer Series Paper.

Next I took a Post-It Note and used the Layering Circles Framelits to cut out a circle.  I placed this over a panel of Whisper White cardstock and stamped the images from the All That You Are stamp set around it in Highland Heather, Balmy Blue, and Mint Macaron.

I matted this on Mint Macaron cardstock.  I cut out the same sized circle from Balmy Blue cardstock and tied a Whisper White Baker’s Twine Bow around it all.

I then stamped the sentiment from the All That You Are stamp set in Balmy Blue and adhered it over the circle using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I also added a few sequins around the card front.

Enjoy!

Today’s card was inspired by this week’s Sunday Stamps challenge.
