I love texture and even more so, the combination of soft and hard textures.
For the Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge, I thought I would mix it all up.
I got my inspiration from a scrapbook layout I did in the fall.
I combined the rough burlap with the softer crochet trim. I also combined the more masculine colors, Mossy Meadow and Mint Macaron, with the more feminine flowers from the English Garden DSP, as well as the softer scalloped edge below the sentiment.
When in doubt – mix it all up!

What a cute card Jaimie! Love the layering of the ribbon and trim, perfectly done. And your scrapbook page is awesome! 🙂
I love this color scheme and burlap!
Thanks so much Veronica!
Super cute card! I love the textured ribbon with the floral dsp. Thanks for joining us at Hand Stamped Sentiments!
Very pretty! I love your choice of rugged burlap with the soft touches of floral and lace. Thanks for playing at HSS! ~Erika
What a sweet card. I do find the burlap is a bit thick on its own so layering up with the crochet trim is a great idea. I bet lace would look great too…. thanks for inspiring me and playing along at HSS.
I like how you combined the two shades of green! The crochet ribbon works so well against the burlap…a little shabby chic feeling! Thanks for playing along with us at Hand Stamped Sentiments!
