Stampin’ Up! Abstract Impressions – Stamparatus

Happy Friday!

Any fun plans for the weekend?

As we speak, I am spending the whole day with 22 second graders for my kids’ school Field Day.  I always walk away from Field Day (or any time spent at school) thinking how in the world do teachers do it?!?!  My hats off to all the teachers out there!

My card today is a fun and bright one that uses the Stamparatus…

I know – two days in a row!!

I start off with Pool Party cardstock.  I next took a panel of Whisper White cardstock (which will be matted on Berry Burst cardstock) and put it on the base of the Stamparatus.

I used the larger of the “flower” images from the Abstract Impressions Stamp Set and stuck it to the hinge of the Stamparatus.  I inked it up in Berry Burst ink and pressed down.  Then I unhinged it, moved it to the next lower hinge, and repeated this all the way down.  This way the “flowers” are all perfectly spaced out.  I did the same thing for the smaller flower in Lemon Lime Twist ink.

I adhered a banner of Lemon Lime Twist cardstock and wound around it a Linen Thread bow.  Using the Stitched Shapes Framelits, I cut out a Pool Party oval and stamped the sentiment from the Abstract Impressions Stamp Set in Versamark.  I sprinkled it with white embossing powder and heat set it.

I adhered the oval using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Enjoy!

Today’s card was inspired by this week’s Sunday Stamps Challenge.
