Stampin’ Up! Color & Contour Thank You Cards

Team pink vs. team purple

I mentioned it this week over on Facebook that people tend to either be team pink or team purple. I was surprised by everyone’s answers. They were pretty 50/50. You can vote for team pink or team purple here.

In honor of team pink vs. team purple, I made two cards today using the same layout, same product, but one pink and one purple. Let me know in the comments which one you prefer 🙂

My card starts off with one of our new In Colors, Polished Pink. I then used the brand new Scalloped Contours Dies to cut out a scalloped piece of Basic White cardstock. I used the same dies, the next size smaller, to cut out a scalloped Melon Mambo pattern from the Brights Designer Series Paper.

This particular pattern is part of the new pack included in the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog. You get a sampling of it, and all the new Designer Series Paper for that matter, in my Product Share. You can check out all the details here.

Next, I stamped the sentiment from the Color & Contour Stamp Set in Melon Mambo ink. I used another die from the Scalloped Contours Dies to cut it out.

You’ll notice that the die itself is bigger than the sentiment. Using a simple method, I made the die fit the sentiment. Although not this exact die, check out this video here to see how to make a die fit a sentiment better.

Next I stamped the floral image in Memento Black ink and the inside floral image in Polished Pink. I adhered this to a piece of Foam Adhesive Sheet and then cut it out using the same dies. I then wrapped around a piece of Polished Pink ribbon in a knot.

This ribbon is gorgeous, available in all five 2021-2023 In Colors beginning May 4th and in my Product Share as well.

Here’s a look at the same card, same layout but using Fresh Freesia and Highland Heather colors.
