This week I’m using the Country Birdhouse Bundle for my cards.
I used the sister-bundle to it, Country Flowers, for our spring stamp camp, but wanted to take my hand at using the Country Birdhouse Bundle….and had a ton of fun using it!!!
Country Birdhouse Card Details:
My card starts off with Peach Pie cardstock.
I took a pattern from the Country Lace Designer Series Paper and matted it on Basic White cardstock.
Next I stamped the birdhouse, the bird, and a variety of floral images from the Country Birdhouse Stamp Set in Memento Black ink.
For the birdhouse, I then ran it through the machine in the Timber Embossing Folder to give it some texture.
I colored in the flowers using (mostly) Peach Pie and (a touch of) Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blends Markers for the flowers and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends Markers for the leaves. I used Peach Pie and Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends for the bird.
I cut them out, along with Old Olive leaves and Crumb Cake stand using the Country Birdhouse Dies.
(I did borrow one leaf die from the Country Flowers Dies.)
I adhered everything down, with the bird poking through the birdhouse hole and then I placed a piece of Basic Black cardstock behind it.
Lastly, I stamped the sentiment in Memento Black ink, which I fussy cut out.
