Stampin’ Up! Country Christmas Card

My card today was inspired by this week’s Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge.  All the images looked sort of “country” so that’s what I was aiming for.

Today’s card is a preview of my Make & Take stamp class this coming week.  We’ll be making four cards (different than this one) using the Smitten Mittens Bundle.  If you live in the Upstate New York area and would like to attend, I would love to have you!!!  Head over to my Facebook page to see all my current parties

My card starts off with Cherry Cobbler cardstock.  Next I took a pattern from the Wood Textures DSP and used a sponge and Crumb Cake ink to color the edge of the paper.  Then I took a 1″ banner of Cherry Cobbler cardstock and colored the edge with a sponge and Cherry Cobbler ink.

Then I made the mittens using the Smitten Mittens Bundle.  The back of the mittens was cut from Very Vanilla cardstock and the top from Crumb Cake cardstock.  I adhered them together and then used a sponge and Crumb Cake ink to color the edges of the mittens.  I adhered them to the bottom of the card and added a Cherry Cobbler ribbon bow.

Lastly I stamped the sentiment from the Watercolor Christmas stamp set in Cherry Cobbler ink on Very Vanilla cardstock.  I cut it out using the Stitched Shapes Framelits and adhered it using Stampin Dimensionals.

I’m sure you have been awfully good this year.

Do you have Stampin’ Up! goodies on your Christmas wish list?
Are you afraid loved one won’t be the exact items you would like?

I offer gift cards!!!  Give your loved ones my e-mail address ( and I’ll take over from there.

As was previously announced, the second reservation window will remain open from December 5–30; however, during this reservation period Stampin Up will take as many orders as they receive (yay!) and not close the window until December 30.

Please note the following changes:

  • Beginning March 19, we will ship Stamparatuses in the order the reservations were received (first in, first out) and continue through the next few months and beyond as product arrives in our warehouse. Because shipment dates are based on manufacturing lead times, not all of the reservations made during the December 5–30 window will ship on March 19 (as was previously announced).
  • In order to accommodate demand, limits have changed as follows: one reservation per customer and one per demonstrator.
  • Because we are not limiting the maximum number of reservations for the second window, we will not offer a third window. This is the last chance for you and your customers to reserve a Stamparatus before it becomes available in the 2018-2019 annual catalog.

I just ordered the 2018 Occasions and Sale-a-bration catalogs.  I would be happy to mail you one.  Just fill out the form below:

  1. Love this! You did an amazing job capturing the country feel of the inspiration photo! The wood textures background really takes it up a notch! Thanks for playing along with us at Hand Stamped Sentiments!
