Hello everyone!
For today’s card I decided to mix the Dockside Dies, specifically the oar die, with the Come Sail Away Designer Series Paper.
Here’s the thing, I’ve never been sailing. I’m not sure if you need an oar, but figured they both were used with water and it would work.
My card starts off with Seaside Spray cardstock, although you can’t see it. I then adhered a pattern from the Come Sail Away DSP on the front.
I used the Dockside Dies to cut out a bunch of oars from Night of Navy and Seaside Spray cardstock. I lined these across a panel of Whisper White cardstock and then matted it on Night of Navy cardstock.
Tip: Stampin’ Up!’s Grid Paper is a great tool!
If you’re adhering various images down and you want to make sure they’re all straight, line your paper up to the grid and then use Washi Tape to mark a straight line. Make sure the Washi Tape goes from one straight line to the other…
… and then just adhere your images along the line!
I then stamped the sentiment from the A Little Lace Stamp Set in Versamark ink on Night of Navy cardstock, sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder, and heat set it. I adhered this down using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Enjoy!
