Stampin' Up! Garden Birdhouses Welcome Card

Stampin’ Up!’s Garden Birdhouses Stamp Set is really unique and different. I knew I needed to have it.
Yes, need, not want. 😉

I decided to use it in sort of a different way for this week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop sketch challenge.

You might recognize the card as I posted on Facebook this week a conundrum I had – what color to use for the birdhouse.

My card starts off with Thick Basic White cardstock. I actually took another panel of Basic White cardstock to do all my stamping on that fit the card front.

I stamped the different images from the Garden Birdhouses Stamp Set on the Basic White panel in Memento Black ink. I colored them in using Granny Apple Green (leaves, grass), Poppy Parade (flowers), Crumb Cake (birds), Bermuda Bay (birdhouse) Stampin’ Blends Markers.

I then used the Hippo & Friends Dies to cut out a center piece which I then adhered back down using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Lastly, I stamped the sentiment from the Garden Birdhouses Stamp Set in Bermuda Bay and then fussy cut it out. Underneath, I wound around some Linen Thread.

Lastly, I added a few Pearls around the card front.
