Stampin’ Up! Garden Wishes Card

Today’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is a color challenge. Happy hopping!

For my color of choice I chose Bumblebee….a yellow, shocking… I know!

My card starts off with Bumblebee cardstock.

I then took a pattern from the True Love Designer Series Paper and matted it on Basic White cardstock.

I took a panel of Basic Black cardstock and stamped the flower images on it in Versamark ink, sprinkled them with White Embossing Powder, and heat set them. I then matted this on Basic White cardstock.

I stamped the sentiment from the Garden Wishes Stamp Set in Memento Black ink on a piece of Basic White cardstock, cutting it out with the Tasteful Labels Dies. I adhered it down using Stampin’ Dimensionals and added a Bumlebee bow next to it.

Lastly, I stamped the bee from the Garden Wishes Stamp Set in Memento Black ink and fussy cut it out. I colored the body of it using the Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends Markers. I adhered it down using a Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Thanks for checking out my project today.

  1. AHA! I knew someone would use Bumblebee, but I thought it would be Mary. Beautiful. Love the layering and the use of white embossing on black. Simply gorgeous! May have to CASE this one.

  2. My goodness! How gorgeous. The colors are striking and that embossed flower steals the show! Great design and great card. TFS
