Stampin’ Up! Heartfelt Hexagon For You Card

All this week I’ve been using the Heartfelt Hexagon Bundle (now available) with the Flight & Airy Designer Series Paper (available January 4th for free with a $50 order).

I think these two products compliment each other beautifully.

Our theme this week is “winter/snow.”

So, um, yea, my card doesn’t really scream winter or snow, but I imagine this bird is sitting on a branch in the freezing cold and he’s dreaming of this scene…warmer days ahead with beautiful flowers around him (humor me, I didn’t want to sit this week out).

Heartfelt Hexagon Card Details:

My card starts off with Thick Basic White cardstock.

I then took a panel of Basic White cardstock and embossed it with the Quatrefoil Embossing Folder. I then used the Heartfelt Hexagon Punch to cut out hexagons from it, which I adhered over the card front.

Next I used the Deckled Circle Dies to cut out a big circle from Vellum.

Then I took one of the patterns in the Flight & Airy Designer Series Paper and fussy cut it out.
*Tip: If fussy cutting isn’t your thing, instead of cutting vellum with the Deckled Circle Dies, you can cut out a pattern of paper highlighting the same bird and flowers.

Lastly, I stamped the sentiment from the Heartfelt Hexagon Stamp Set in Flirty Flamingo ink, which I fussy cut out and then added some Iridescent Pearls around.
