My youngest daughter just turned 10 this past week.
With my kids’ birthdays, I always decorate the house (in whatever their favorite colors are at the time) and I also make their birthday card to coordinate with it.
My youngest’s favorite colors right now are black and red and she is obsessed with tacos! So I knew the Witty-Cisms Stamp Set would be perfect for her card.
But I also knew I wanted to stamp the taco a bunch of times and in order to make it easier and quicker (as opposed to using the washi tape technique) I decided to cut up the solid stamp into three pieces.
My card starts off with Thick Whisper White cardstock.
Next I took a panel of Real Red cardstock and stamped the taco all over the front of it in Real Red ink. I then matted this on Basic Black cardstock.
I stamped the taco three times in Memento Black ink on Whisper White cardstock and colored it in using Mango Melody, Light Soft Suede, and Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends Markers.
I used the Layering Circle Dies to cut out Basic Black scalloped circles and to cut out the tacos.
Lastly, I stamped the sentiments from the Witty-Cisms Stamp Set in Memento Black ink.
Enjoy!

That is way too cute! Love the card and your fun decorating. 🙂 I’ve never been brave enough to chop up my stamps. I’ve thought about it and always chickened out. 😉
Great card and beautiful daughter! How special!
