This month’s Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop’s theme is Spring!
The You’re Inspiring Stamp Set caught my eye right away in the Occasions Catalog and I knew it’d be perfect for this theme.
Spring certainly hasn’t sprung yet in Upstate New York, but soon enough daffodils will start to pop through the ground! They are always a sign that spring has come.
My card starts off with Daffodil Delight cardstock on which I adhered a pattern from the Color Theory DSP. I then took a panel of Whisper White cardstock and stamped the daffodils from the You’re Inspiring Stamp Set on the front in Memento Black ink.
I colored the daffodils in using the Dark and Light Daffodil Delight Stampin Blends Markers. I used the Light Pumpkin Pie Stampin Blend Marker to color the very bottom of the daffodil. I used the Dark and Light Old Olive Stampin Blends Markers to color in the stems.
I matted this Whisper White cardstock on a panel of Daffodil Delight cardstock and then again on Whisper White cardstock.
I wrapped around some Daffodil Delight ribbon and tied a Linen Thread bow in it. I adhered everything down using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Your card is so inspiring…bright, cheerful, love yellow and daffodils. Hope yours are surviving the “blanketing” of snows you’ve been receiving!
Daffodils are my favorite springtime flower and you captured them perfectly with your card!
Thanks! I love daffodils too!
Absolutely beautiful Jaimie! The coloring is just perfect and I love your design. Awesome card! 🙂
Thanks so much Amy!
Beautiful card, Jaimie! Yellow just says “Spring!” Your coloring is great!
Thanks Julie!
Oh – this is sooo pretty, Jaimie! I love your daffodils for spring!! Perfectly colored and layered. Great idea to put the Color Theory paper on the card base! 🙂
Thanks so much!
Beautiful! My daffodils were doing great until yesterday’s snow covered them–nothing like your snow though. Stay warm!
Hopefully they’ll survive! Spring will be here soon enough.
