It’s All About the Color!

Today’s card is all about color!  My inspiration came from the Sunday Stamps Challenge – Rainbows!  Although my card isn’t directly a rainbow, my inspiration comes from the many bright colors in a rainbow.

SSC123FI started with a base of Tangerine Tango, layered with Whisper White.  I then layered those with Daffodil Delight and yet another Whisper White.

I used the Papillon Potpourri Stamp Set for my butterflies.  I stamped some smaller ones directly on the Whisper White cardstock and then stamped the bigger ones and punched them out with the Elegant Butterfly Punch.  Colors used were:  Rose Red, Tangerine Tango, Daffodil Delight, Garden Green, Island Indigo, and Rich Razzleberry.

My sentiment “Thanks For Being You” comes from the Suite Sayings Stamp Set and is stamped in Rich Razzleberry.

For today’s card, I had fun playing along with the Mojo Monday challenge.

I started with a background of Cajun Craze and layered it with hello Honey.  I then took two different patterns from the Botanical Gardens DSP and layered the card with 1/3 of one and 2/3 of another, the second one layered with the Botanical Gardens Vellum (from Sale-a-bration).

I then created my own pattern with the Botanical Blooms Stamp Set in Cajun Craze, Hello Honey, Old Olive, and Mint Macaron.

I then used a third pattern from the Botanical Gardens DSP and punched it with a 2″ punch and layered it with the sentiment “Happy Day” from the Perfect Pairings (from Sale-a-bration) in Cajun Craze.

Bloomin’ Heart

Today’s card inspiration comes from the Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge.

HSS Sketch 234I went wedding card with the layout taking advantage of the b-e-a-utiful Bloomin’ Heart Thinlit.  It’s so delicate and intricate.  It can easily stand alone with just a few other details.

I started with a Thick Whisper White cardstock and then layered it with Basic Gray and Whisper White.

The sentiment is stamped in Basic Black and is from the Petite Pairs Stamp Set.  I added a few small rhinestones and sequins to finish it off.

Today’s layout inspiration comes from the Freshly Made Sketches #229.  FMS Final 229-001

For the card, it’s all about the beautiful What I Love Stamp Set from Sale-a-bration.  I started with Thick Whisper White cardstock.  I then took the What I Love Stamp Set and stamped in 2-3/4″ squares different colored flowers.  The stamp set is two-step and although mine aren’t perfectly lined up, I actually like it that way.

For the top flower, I used Calypso Coral as my light color (stamping off first for the lightest variation) and then Cajun Craze as the darkest color.

Pool Party was used as the lightest color for my blue flower (again stamping off first for the lightest part) and then I used the retired Coastal Cabana for the darkest shade.

My purple flower was made using Rich Razzleberry for the lighter shade and Blackberry Bliss for the darker shade.  I then added a vertical strip of Venetian Trim to give it some texture.

The sentiment, “Know what I love?” is from the same What I Love Stamp Set and is stamped in Pool Party.  The “You!” was stamped on the inside of the card.

I have the privilege of attending a bridal shower on Saturday.  Their wedding colors are navy, silver, and cream – Perfect for a card!

I knew I wanted to keep it clean and simple.  I started with a base of Thick Whisper White and layered it with Night of Navy cardstock.

I stamped up the sentiment “Just For You” from the Botanicals for You Stamp Set (Sale-a-bration item!) with Versamark and then heat embossed it in silver powder.

I added a few Itty Bitty flowers in Very Vanilla with a tiny rhinestone in each and completed it with a Silver Ribbon knot at the bottom.

For my card today, I used the Thick Whisper White cardstock for my base and layered it with an Old Olive pattern from the Wildflower Fields DSP.

MOJO MONDAY 440:

For today’s card, I took my layout inspiration from this week’s Mojo Monday 440.

I went with a background of Mint Macaron and layered it with the crisp Whisper White.  I used a polka dot pattern from the Birthday Bouquet DSP for the horizontal detail.  I then used two other patterns from the Birthday Bouquet DSP layered each over Blushing Bride as my vertical detail.

Suite Sayings - Stamp It Up With Jaimie

For my sentiment, I used the birthday saying from Suite Sayings and stamped it in Blushing Bride.  I used the Decorative Label Punch in Blushing Bride to highlight the sentiment and adhered the circle with dimensionals for a little lift.  To finish it off, I added a Metal Rimmed Pearl.
